Wrong Thread but INSIST [HELP] Custom CWM - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Im totally new on LG devices..wish someone can help me here.. Now am on LG-D259 A.K.A L FINO.. Really regreted to have this device (nomore money) as i used to be samsungian. Srrms its not even have its own developements thread..
Its now Rooted with Purpledrake Tools. Thanks and credits goes to its creator..and srrms its not enough as no custom recovery yet..thats teally such a pain. After i search some info bout the processor specs i found that moto e has same snapdragon 200 inside. So some nice futures possiblity devs.
What i really need help wish that some of devs here can also support this device. Please make some recovery or may some of you just share an HOWTo builds custom revovery one. And do this device need to unlock bootloader too..as every tutor on how to unlock bootloader seems not works at all.

If you search for 'x10 stock kernel' you should find a stock kernel with xrecovery. I found it a month ago, just don't remember where.

Relocking Bootloader oopsee
Mr, Whitefang, I made a little.. mistake, if you could call it that.. I had a buggy rom and wanted to reflash it, and without properly checking what rom i selected, I accidently selected the "X10_V1_BLRelock.ftf" in the menu, connected my phone, then realized I had just relocked the Bootloader..
The phone still starts up normally with custom Kernel and all, but I cant re-unlock it..
What on earth do I do?
EDIT:
Soo, I flashed it with the Kernel + baseband ftf file. and it started up normally.. I believe I might be able to unlock the BL again.. Im lucky I survived it...
Great guide.. Helped me unlock the BL in the first place...
Great guides, something I was looking for for a while now.
First problem (I'm a newbie), I was at Beginner 2 of 3 and at step 7, but the boot logo is stuck. But I did exactly what you told me to do. And I had the exact specs you defined. What should I do? I can't find a stock rom ftf because they're all down
Edit: Fixed it

[samsung i857(doubletime)]ROM devlopers and users of this phone

HI all , i lunched this thread after weeks of googling and usless search for a new stock or custom rom to update my phone (samsung sgh-i857 doubletime) it's a dual screen phone with querty built-in keyboard it's from at&t and it is stuck on android 2.2.2, i'm very sad that they and after years from lunching it didn't back it up with a single soft update -_- ... and i know that there are users who bought this phone like me and seek help.. i know that it's not this easy but if you are a devloper help us by creating a custom rom for it ....if you are a user of this phone please support this thread by commenting so we can get an update for it :good: ps: i attached informations for it's cpu
Hello good sir, I like you am a noobish Doubletime user who is struggling to update it to Gingerbread. So far I have been somewhat able to use the Cyanogenmod source code and I have built a CWM Recovery for the device but that seems to have hard bricked it... I ordered a new one off ebay for $15 and I'm ready to start cooking. You have my support!
Just an update.
I have a plan I have on how to get this runnin.
1. Port CWM to the DoubleTime through Cyanogemod 6.
2. Get a working version of Cyanogenmod 6 working on the DoubleTime to hopefully free up some space.
3. Find if Gingerbread can run on Froyos kernel.
From there I'll either be building a GingerBread compatable kernel or Cyanogenmod 7 depending on compatability. Any advice or help would be very appreciated.
Being new to ROM building I'm a little lost and hesitant on flashing things but here's what I know so far.
The DoubleTime uses a Qualcomm MSM7230 same as the HTC Vision. I forked it's Github respiratory and I'll be using it as a base as recommended by the Cyanogenmod porting guide.
The partitions sizes (as a accurately as I can estimate them) are:
/cache=21.05MB
/data=176.65MB
/system=194.38MB
I may need to know the recovery partition size but I'm not sure how to find that out.
I have the recovery.img and the boot.img as well as the zImage. So as soon as the repo sync is done I'll be on my way.
I'm back again today with somewhat mixed news, I can find most of the partitions and their names (I've learned a lot today) but I can not seem to find the boot, recovery or ramdisk partitions. I'm already boggled by the what seems to be unconventional naming setup for partitions. Put all of my "notes" in a text docement in the attachments section. Any help with this is very appertiated. I can type and post anything into the ADB shell you need me too.
I'm beginning to feel like I'm talking to myself, I probably am...
Upon reading forum rules and such it has come to my attension that this is the wrong forum for this kind of thread, So I have made a new thread in the Miscellaneous Android Developement Forum that will hopefully be more useful at getting more proffesional and opinionated help.

Samsung S7390

Hi All,
I'm Jack Droid and I'm a new member.
I have a Samsung Smartphone model S7390.
Surfing into the internet, I understood that there is not much development for this device...
Maybe because that device is not so appreciated but anyway, I have this model!
Moreover, I did the root and I found an CWM recovery that it's ok for it but what I have never found, is a custom rom.
My question is : do you know if exist a device that could be quite similar to Trend Lite S7390 so that I can use a rom for that and try to flash into my device ?
Many thanks for your attention and waiting for your kind reply.
All the best

you dont want to try a rom just because it is made for a "similar" phone. it is very likely to brick your phone.
the rom must say it is compatible or made for your phone, or you cant use it.
unfortunately, i can find no roms for your phone, as you already found out.

Hi bweN diorD,
thanks for your reply.
I suspected that was not possible to flash a rom for another device into mine but considering that development for my phone is not so much acitve, I was thinking that could be a solution but it seems that it's not a good idea!
I was thinking to S5280 but it has a dual core cpu if I remember well...
Anyway, I have to leave my phone just with CF root and CWM recovery and considering the actual situation, I'm happy in that way !
I will continue my hacking experience with my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition that has much more development.
I also have seen in this very good forum that a member is development a CyanogenMod for that tablet so thjat I'm following the evolution and when the rom will be rock stable, I will proceed to flash it.
I thank you again for your support and I wish you a very good evening!
See you into the forum and all the best!
EDIT
I'm following the development on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52978200
S7392 is the same phone of S7390, only S7392 has two slim but electronical components are the same.
Maybe this could be a good solution!
Well you can try fancylite rom

SM-S820L Lollipop Update?

Is there any way to get Android Lollipop on the Galaxy Core Prime SM-S820L? I have read about custom ROM's but I still don't know much about them and can't find any for this model. If anyone has found or created a way to flash a custom ROM onto this device, please let me know.

I also own this device, and unfortunately there is very limited support in the custom Rom department. If there was to be a lollipop Rom, someone would either have to port one somehow, or build it from source. Given the development rate for this device, I don't predict it happening anytime soon, sorry to say.
not going to happen
i have been trying since february the answer i got from my carier was samsung is contracted not to support this device thats why that is so hard to find samsung told me to take the device to bestbuy to force update if they could probably irrelavent but maby it helps
SM-S820L Got the Shaft!
Yup! This seems to be the future for the SM-S820L, or lack of future I should say.
I too have the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime SM-S820L. I have spent lots of hours scouring the internet looking through every android related forum in hopes of eventually finding someone that is undertaking much needed programming to build a custom ROM for this CorePrime version.
If you are looking for a custom recovery to use. I can point you to my and others posts over at Needrom. The best I can offer is an unofficial TWRP release, but it DOES work! It does for myself at least and I am no Android Guru whatsoever.
I guess I am not allowed to post Links in any of my posts yet because I am still a NOOB on these forums. I'll PM you with some direction my friend!
I cannot take credit for coming up with any of that software. I simply rooted around long enough to compile a collection of tools and files that worked for me to modify the Recovery of my SM-S820L.
:good: Feel free to shoot me a Private Message on this site or to my personal Email....... [email protected]
I would love to help out as much as I can with modding your phone. Like I said, I'm not a proffesional but I have read up on the procedures used and been successful with my own Galaxy Core Prime:laugh:

Light rom for ZTE blade a5 2019

Hi all
Im looking fir a very light rom for my zte blaze a5 2019 . ( I flashed a stock rom and the phone is very dlow now)
Thanks
First we need to gain root, after that we can flash stuff. I tried various ways, one is to ask zte for the signature to unlock bootloader, another was asking hydra team to port bootloader unlock for this model, and they are working on it, I just asked today. Or we can use an exploit but it needs to be ported so we need someone who knows how to do it and get him to work on it. We can do a bug bounty like has been done for LG v20. They done a bug bounty and who obtained root access has been paid. The money were taken from who donate so they aren't a problem. Btw I extracted kallsyms:https://www.mediafire.com/file/pbm0nvptr3w8eab/kallsyms-4.4.147%2B_%28armv7l%29.txt/file
