Developer rom is pre rooted. Make sure you grant permission in security app for the root checker you use.

[Q] Will I receive OTA updates if I install a theme on the stock ROM?

I just bought a i9505 and I will probably install the Domination theme over the stock ROM. If I do so, will I still be able to receive OTA updates?
Thanks!

to install a theme u need a root and the theme should be odex supported
And once u root no more updates thru OTA device status will become Custom and u then have to Install firmware using ODIN
Hope this helps
Use Q&A thread link on ma sign rather creating a new thread u will get response faster

Not true - you need a custom recovery to install a theme (some recoveries auto root though)

Rooting issue Note 4

Guys,
I rooted my note 4 N910G using CF root method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note...-root-t2897428
When I open xmod and other root apps, its asking for root access and its granted. But those apps are asking me to root again.
Means those apps are acting like my phone is not rooted..
Not able to install viper in stock ROM.
May I know the best rooting method for our N910G?
I don't want to install custom ROM because I'm not getting more than 3 hrs SOT.
Thanks.

You need to install a modified kernel in order to properly root your phone.

Some variants of the Tab E do not yet have custom recovery so this root method is supposed to be used for them but will work for other Tab E Variants. I personally use a Tab E Verizon which has no custom recovery yet.
Sm-t377v
I have a Sm-t377v running 6.0.1. Will this work for that?
If not would you know of another root for this one? I can't find anything myself...although I'm new to rooting devices lol so I may just be blind.

No you are not blind I have an SM-T377V and it is not rootable on marshmallow 6.0.1:crying: also on lollipop some people get bricked when they use this method.
My brother asked me to root his device, he has T377V, is there still no recovery created for the Verizon version?

man it really sucks having the CID11-Toshiba chip this S5 device has no custom roms, no xpose framework, no bootloader... just stock rom with only root access.
whats the point of having root access if i can't even flash a custom rom or use frameworks like xpose. someone screwed up somewhere bigtime lol this will be my first and last samsung handset ever.
alright thanks again man. wish me luck on my next phone in the next generation lol
