I have following situation:
- broken screen and touch is not working
- usb debugging is off
- password pattern lock combination when entering phone
I need to backup contacts and pictures from phone somehow and I don't know how.
When I connect mobile phone to computers with usb cable it only gives me zte usb drivers to install nothing more,after that I don't see my phone..
Is there any solution to extract contacts and pictures from my phone???
Is there any solution thru recovery mode to update/install something to give me option to backup everything(contacts/pictures) from phone ???
If someone could please help I would be grateful...Thanks

Hello,i am trying to connect my ideos x5 to my pc (Win7/32bit) but i get 2 problems:
1)Windows cant install Huawei HSUSB Device. I follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13306262&postcount=14 but still cant with message "Windows could not install the device"
2)When i put my phone at purple screen (power on + vol + , vol-) and connect with pc , cant install qualcomm cmda technologies msm.Again i follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408105 but Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 dont find my phone.
If you find a solution plss help me
Very strange, I've got Win7/32 as well, but didn't need the drivers to connect the phone in mass storage mode.
Can you please explain what exactly you're trying to achieve?
Are you trying to use HiSuite or just connect the phone to view it's contents?
The first option you've mentioned is for ADB interface and that only works if you've selected "USB debugging" ON.
Also, if you're trying to access the SD card contents from the PC, don't forget to activate (mount) the SD card from the phone.
The second one is not for Windows 7, is for Windows Mobile I think. I have to admit, the first time I've connected my phone in bootloader (pink screen) it failed to install that driver, but it never stopped me from exploring the Image folder contents in any way.
Cuz i dont know much from this things,The 1st one appear when i had debugging mode enabled , when it is disabled all are fine , so we are fine without debugging mode as i think and 2) The 1st time i connect my phone (purple screen) ( i wanted to install cwm recovery) image dont appear , i tried one more time now and it appeared so am fine from this too .Thnx anyway

Need urgent help with Samsung Galaxy S5 backup.
Screen and digitizer dont work, also USB Debugging is not turned on.
I need to make SMS and contact backup to Xperia Z3.
I have backup of contacts.spb and messages.sme on my PC.
Options:
I tried with mouse trough OTG cable and I can unlock the phone (there is no pattern or PIN), but its to hard to navigate with nothing showing up on screen.
Micro to HDMI cable is option but i need mouse or keyboard to turn on USB debug.
I have Kies 3 backup of contacts and SMS from this phone but they are in proprietary Samsung formats
*.sme and *.spb, tryed to make recovery of this files to Samsung Grand Neo 2 wich I have but Kies 3 isn't compatible
with this phone and older Kies cant read Kies 3 backup :/
So the only option to recover backup is to have another working SGS5 or Note3 or some reader/editor of proprietary
Samsung formats.
I have very important data on this phone.
Can somebody help me with this?

So, my zte blade digitalizer broke...
I still want to control my phone so i can install some apps, and to do so I found a tool here in XDA to control the phone in my computer, but the thing is that I didn't have the debugging ON before the screen broke, and the tool needs the debugging on to send the "controlling codes" to the phone.
While I was trying some options I found on the internet, (none worked) I removed the ROM that I had (cm10), and that gave me an idea.
Is there a way to "edit" a ROM and make the debugging option ON by default?
Or if anyone has any other idea please let me know!

i have a samsung galaxy s7 edge that the screen does not work (its black) but the touchscreen still alive, now the problem is that i have some data i want to backup but i cant unlock the phone beacuse i dont know if im using a wrong password or something else... i can think of some solutions, but i dont know if they are possible.
1) download some apps to screen mirroring the phone on my pc: the usb debugging mode is not enabled.
2) enter into recovery mode and use the adb: the pc recognize the phone but when i tried to use the commands adb shell,push,pull... reponse with "error: closed" msg, i think its because usb debugging mode is not enabled.
3) clone the memory of the phone and install it on some emulator or another phone???
4) i have another s7 edge, change the screen until i backup the data???
Someone can help me or give me some tips? i dont know what to do now, im googling a lot and anything works, all because USB DEBUGGING isnt enabled, perhaps if i can enable it using the adb without unlock the phone (remember i dont know if im using the correct password i need some tries).
