[Q] Where can I buy a middle frame for my N910W8? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
So my middle frame (the metal part) of my Note 4 is damaged. I know how to replace it (very easy to do), but I have only managed to find one place to buy it and it says it's for the N910F exclusively, not the N910W8. I don't understand how it wouldn't work, because it's just a bit of plastic/metal and it looks exactly the same as the middle frame I have.
The link I found is here:
http://www.witrigs.com/oem-midframe-assembly-for-samsung-galaxy-note-4-sm-n910f-gold
If someone could please tell me where to find parts (I've checked eBay and Amazon), I'd be very grateful.

I just placed an order for this one: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Genuine-Sams...9-/331393082051?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:CA:1123
I will let you know if it works, but according to the seller he said it will.

Kaiser Replacement LCD ?

My 2 weeks old Kaiser slipped from my hands and the LCD broke !! I am looking for a good repair shop in Belgium or any links from which I can procure a new LCD screen real fast! Any pointers would be helpful. Also, does anyone know if the LCD screen is covered under the HTC warranty ??
whipout ur htc carepack, call the number nearest you. They probably would fix it for you for a small charge. Keep in mind, repair shops aren't htc specialists.... So my suggestion is that you contact htc and see what they can do for you.
i feel for you :{
my girlfriend just got her LCD cracked from a roller coaster (stupid safety bars). probably going to take a few weeks for us to get a replacement screen since they don't even sell the kaiser here.
she keeps subconsciously trying to touch the screen on her interm dumb-phone... and sighs.
do it yourself! buy a replacement screen on ebay, and look for replacement instructions on this forum
how easy does the screen crack if you drop it? just for arguments sake shouldn't the phones be able to sustain a reasonable drop? After all you are constantly using it in your hands so it is likely you would drop it at least once.
Put this under you favorites

My Tilt has only 2 buttons on the right, the power and camera buttons. http://cnn.cn/shop/images/IMG_5052.JPG shows there are 3 buttons. What's the 3rd button?
I found that on expansys website while i was checking for a good screen protector... Have a look here :

Well, I've taken up a hobby of repairing all makes/models of phone that I can get parts for, so I'd be exceptionally grateful if you could provide some info as to WHERE and HOW you get them so cheaply....
TIA!
there are a few shopping mall in china that sell only spare part for pc, mobile phones and all micro electronics part.
and because most of the oem and third party parts are all made in china, its always cheaper to buy from there, I travel to china a lot, and in search for some parts, I did come across some tytn II parts.
but then you need to live in china or hong kong just like me, so you can go back and forward.
I can also let you know that only micro electronics parts and mobile spare parts are cheaper in china, PC stuff are cheaper in hong kong, as well as back up service.
you need to go to wha qheung ( my own english translation) street along the china railway system, most of them do bulk buy and send overseas, but its best to be there in person, as you cannot trust them sometime.
next time i'll get the address when I go over again, but i'll don't think you will travel there.

housing replacement

so i thought about replacing the housing on my wing with black house like one found here (http://cnn.cn/shop/tmobile-wing-black-housing-p-4828.html) (ebay has it cheaper) and i was wondering if there is a good guide somewhere to use, or should i make one?
I did the same thing with my wing. I have the black housing with the HTC logo instead of the t-mobile blue. The guides I used to take everything apart are below. One pictorial and one video made for replacing the LCD digitizer but every step is needed to replace the housing. I am not sure if there is a step by step process here on XDA so feel free to start a guide if you wish. Here are the links:

thanks man, if/ when i do it ill be sure to make a guide. where did you get your housing from?
Your welcome,
I purchased my housing from eBay. The cost was about $20 US cheaper than that link, just as you suspected. Same housing, same rubberized feel you have with the OEM blue housing; it looks very sharp when you have it all put together. Good luck with the guide. Make sure you post up a link when you put it all together.
depending on my pay check i may order the housing this week. i need to get my digital camera back before i can make my guide. you can check out the one i made for the tmobie dash to know what kind of work to expect.
already got one on watch on my ebay
ive been looking into this almost since i bought my wing. had the thing apart several times already, but i cant find a site that sells it with the black face buttons. might look sinda dumb all black w/ blue buttons.
anybody know who's got em?

Replacement full casing/housing

I purchased one of these as the housing i had was getting very messy
http://cgi.ebay.ie/FULL-HOUSING-KEYBOARD-HTC-TyTN-II-2-P4550-P-KAISER-/180496072719?cmd=ViewItem&pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2a0667800f
DONT BUY THIS KIT !!!
The item was listed as new but clearly most of the parts were used.
The biggest problem I had was with the front face plate.
There is a few gold "connectors" that have to be melted in the plastic.
I had to break these out of my old case and used a soldering iron to put them into the new faceplate.
There was also the gold screw holes! these were a real pain.
Again they needed to be broken from the old case and then gently heated with the iron until they melted into their respective hole.
Maybe this is what I should have expected but it would have been nice if they said a little fiddling was required for fitting.
The keyboard was also not as the picture is. It was a chinese keyboard so I just used my own.
All in all it worked out well and my phone looks spanking new but its not really a worthwhile mod given the cost and hastle.
I was also planning to buy that housing but had a second thought about the keyboard. my original keyboard is all black and doesnt have the white numpad.
thanx for the advice ! ill try to inquire from other seller.
how about this one?
http://cgi.ebay.ph/FULL-HOUSING-KEY...ewItem&pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20b0bf01ef
A few days ago I received the same housing from the same vendor and is all ok. Mounting screw is settled and the exterior is not damaged.
Before ordering I contacted him and sent a picture of my phone. When he confirmed that everything (including keyboard) is identical, I ordered. I got the body and I get happy.
I think you had bad luck
Maybe its bad luck but eBay rules are pretty straight forward.
I was not sold what was listed in the pictured and it was not new (item had marks from use where case slides apart and also scratching.)
The keyboard was not the one in the picutes. I actually have a full black KB but wanted to go with the white panelled one in the pic.
What I got was a chinese all black KB. Useless to me.
Anyway, i got my phone rebuilt and its looks new and works great. It took a little more fiddling than I would have expected and the KB was wrong.
I left Neutral feedback for the vendor because I felt I got what I needed.
codejack:
sorry to say but it is really a bad luck. lets try to be careful with items like that and inquire every detail of the item we will buy. thanks for sharing pal

Cheap parts

Does anyone know where to get cheap parts such as the charging port all that I have been able find are around 50+ including ebay. I have also looked into a broke screen one as well. No luck. I did find that the European version of Asus parts store actually has parts that you can order which was a very vice touch.

reputable source for parts

Looking if anyone can vouch for a source for parts for the Z300C model. I stupidly cracked the LCD below the digitizer and Asus is quoting me 175 for the replacement. I can buy a new tablet for that! The first hit that comes up is a site called parts4repair, but then I've read post on here that say stay away from them. Anyone here have a good site ? I have no problem installing it myself just don't want to wait a month to find myself with a broke part that was very obviously pre used.
