How to enable usb 3.0? - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I plug my note 3 SM-9005 into a USB 3 port I get the 'this device can perform faster yada yada'
There is no USB 3 in the drop down on the phone just MTP and Camera.
Using the cable that came with the phone, running JB 4.3
Ports are USB 3.0 with latest intel drivers.

The computer doesn't recognise nexus 10 on usb 3.0 port

My nexus 10 is only being charged when I connect it to my computer on usb 3.0 port, the computer doesn't recognise it as a storage so I cannot transfer files. My galaxy s3 is working fine with usb 3.0
They are both working fine on usb 2. Is that normal?
not normal, my Sony laptop with USB 3 port see Nexus just fine. Running all stock on Nexus. Weird.
I'm also on Stock rom, but the bootloader is unlocked and rooted.
Did you ever find a fix for this? I'm having the exact same issue after rooting...Tabelt and recovery work great only my computer is not picking it up as storage...
Not "normal", but quite common. It's not the Nexus 10s fault, USB 3.0 is very buggy depending on the chipset.

Phone keeps rebooting

Hi there ,
My phone keeps rebooting every time I connect it to the pc
Build Nr JSS15J.I9505XXUEMK9
BaseBand I9505XXUEMK9
Android 4.3
Anyone had this And how to fix it
cheers for any help
Try reinstalling your phones USB drivers. Does your phone only crash with Android debugging turned on? Try connecting to a rear USB port (rear USB port on computer output more mAh than front USB ports). Try another cable. If it still crashes check the phones micro USB port as it could be faulty.

Also try a different cable.

Things I Did to tackle this problem :

2. Used another USB 2.0 Cable.
3. Used the second USB 3.0 port on my mother board.
4. Used all the USB 2.0 Ports on my mother board.
5. Removed USB Drivers and installed again.
6. Uninstalled USB 3.0 Drivers from device manager
7. Updated from Windows 8 to 8.1
8, Formatted my C Drive.
I Did all the things that i have mentioned but still no use. Plz Help me fix this ****. !! -_-

Yes drivers are installed. Tried kies and nothing. Then I tried reinstalling drivers and still nothing. Mtp works fine. But any time I touch the usb 3.0 option on my phone it disconnects and switches back to mtp. I get a notice saying unable to connect devices via usb 3.0. I dont have any other usb 3.0 devices to test with.

Samsung Drivers are installed with proper CDC . Never tried updating BIOS . Other USB 3.0 devices like My WD HDD works just fine. I just now installed Win 7 64x Professional . Same problem . Also i tried to format the same Win 8.1 i had before. No solution yet.
Note 3 connect to pc only as mtp.

stupid question, but you're using the USB 3.0 cable, and a USB 3.0 port on your computer, correct?
