Follow all the steps like rename to update.zip place in sdcard update through updater -> phone reboot and msg show up installing update then after few minutes phone restart itself without any confirmation ( is this normal) and as a result nothing changed.. Anyone plz help
no need to rename any thing if you are coming from stock rom V5 38.0.
jst go to software update in settings/about phone...
press options....
boot into recovery.(stock recovery obviously/ no need for any other recovery)
you will then boot in recovery,...
use "power botton" to enter recovery..
"volume down" to scroll through the recovery options,,,
and "volume up" to select the options to update from sd card and select the file (ext sd card will do the work)
jst take care to use the right bottons as i mentioned

For MAGDLR:
Reboot your phone.
Press and hold PowerButton
Now you see the MAGDLR menu, with the volume buttons go to option 8
Now select flash zip from SD card.
Choose the zip you want to flash.
Once the operation is finished, press back button and then go to Reboot and that's all
Hi XDAers, am new to sharing, and wanted to start with this thread as it might be helpful for many people
Am not responsible if you bricked your phone, so don't blame me!
Lets start with the guide:
What u need:
1- Samsung drivers Here
2- Odin flasher Here
3- Rom files which u will find Here
4- (Optional) To do a full clean install or to root your rom u will need Philz kernel
Installation Steps:
1-Install the previously downloaded samsung drivers on your PC
2-Start your phone in download mode (while the phone is off press and hold PWR button + Vol dwn + Home)
3-Start Odin (above link)
4-Click on the PDA Btn and select the rom file you downloaded (.tar file)
5-Connect your phone (don't use any usb hub or whatever,etc.) so that the phone is connected directly to the PC
6-Wait until you see the upper left box in odin turns yellow
7-Click on start and don't touch anything until its all done
Congratulations! now u have a stock rom installed on your phone
To have a Full clean install (u have to do this first) :
1- Go to Philz kernel and download the one that corresponds to your current firmware build code
(you can know your current rom code by going to settings, about device, the 5 letters after i9100 in Build number are your firmware code)
2- Place the zip you downloaded on your external sd card
3- Start the device in recovery mode (while the phone is off press and hold PWR + HOME + VOL UP)
4- Scroll to install update from external storage using the volume keys and power btn for selection
5- Go to the kernel you downloaded and install it.
6-Turn off ur phone and start again in recovery mode, it will start the newly installed recovery
7- Now go to mounts and storage and format (system,preload,data,cache), Go back to main menu, Select advanced and wipe Dalvik cache
Now ur phone is fully cleaned and ready for Installation !!
For rooting after installation, Repeat the previous steps until step 5

Hello there , i was on my way to install a new rom , after i reboot into cwm 5.0.2.8 from my mistake into advanced category i formated "boot" so phone boot into blue screen and pink only , after some search i did , i format sd card and put dload , at first try i put B528 and then B526 and connect my phone with usb without battery , phone in both situations enter in update state > install > reboot and then it stuck loading on huawei logo for some secs and then it auto reboot . Is there any way to fix it or my phone is dead .I need answer from experienced users as i install roms for this phone about 2 years but i miss look while formating and did wrong . Thank you for your time
SOLVED :
For those who have such problems i just did following steps , i formatted sd card and put "dload" from B518(Overseas Normal)(Gingerbread)
because it has unlocked bootloader , after that connect to pc without battery and let it update or if update doesnt start press power + (volum up-down) when update finish , remove usb , remove "dload" from sdcard and then enter in pink screen (power + volum up-down) , connect to pc, it will mount cust_backup , replace recovery with any of the CWM ( i used 5.0.2.8) , reconnect phone to pc and enter recovery (power + volum up) from there u can do everything (install original partition , rom etc...) Note:Battery must be out

Yeah i just did a similar way but without going to froyo anyway thanks..
1) Self-installing firmware Flyme 4.2.8.2 (A), get Root, put SuperSu
2) Download files yadi.sk/d/9J5jAFm6nMwu6
3) Run SuperSu, hide, but not close
4) sets MX4pro_RecoveryInstaller-v1.0 file and run it
5) You see 2 buttons, push the upper (provide Root)
6) There was a red button, push it and reboot your smartphone
7) When you turn on the smartphone "Black logo Meizu", requires a lot of time only press "volume up"
8) hits the recovery, select the language and then "Install zip" / "choose zip from / sdcard", select the firmware file and put.
9) After the phrase "Install from sdcard complete", restart your smartphone and enjoy firmware.

Just To Remind everybody before you go and brick you GOOD device, is that your B00tloader must be unlocked before doing this or else you really will be stuck at the logo boot screen forever. I personally have not tried this.

HOW TO INSTALL
Step 1: you will needing odin becouse you cant install it from your twrp (i tried installing it from twrp and it gaved an kernel error so odin is the best for now)
Step 2: select the recovery file as AP becouse AP contains recovery and others (it only has recovery soo it will not effect your custom rom)
Step 3: Go to options and close auto restart (optional)
Step 4: Reboot your phone to download mode and plug it to your pc
Step 5: Press start
Step 6: If you enabled auto restart; When it restarts press Vol Up and Home button for your recovery. If you didnt enabled auto restart; Press Vol down power and home button to restart your phone. After screen goes black. Press Power Vol Up and Home button
(Btw if you want to go back to normal twrp u can. But you will needing odin again.)
BUGS:
-SD Card updates wont work (why u want to update it anyway u are on custom rom)
-You cant install roms. You have to switch back to ur twrp or other recovery if you want to install roms (its stock thats why u cant),
-Recovery will show it's android 8.1.0 but its not true.( becouse oreo bootloader)
