[Q] All sensors DO NOT work - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all. All sensors on my G2 don't work. They stopped working for no reason when I was on CM11.
When I sent the phone to service center they gave me it back (after a month) and claimed it got oxidized by unknown sunstance...But I think it is bul**hit ... that service center (I had no option to choose because it is branded phone) is propably the worst in my country. They also wrote I complained about buttons and touchscreen not working - which is not truth.
What should I do ? I read some posts about similar problems ...It seems to be a SW problem... But I would like to know what exactly shoud I do to fix it so I won't kill my G2
Shoud I flash official JB ? or baseband or what?
I tried to flash latest versions of CM .. I also flashed Stock KK ... But it still doesn't work.
Thank you

D802 Flashlight not working

Hi,
the last cupple of days i figured out that my camera flashlight is not working any more
I have currently CM10.2 installed wich is working greate but the flashled is dead.
It is also not working any more with any other app than the camera.
Does anybody else have/had the same problem?
Is there a hidden Service menue i can acces somehow where i can do some kind of Hadrdware testing?
If this is a hardware issue, does anybody know an approved way to get back the waranty as i heard it is void if you custom rom your phone. At the S3 there was just the triange wich could be flashed away, how is this with the LG.
Thanks a lot for your help.

[HELP] Network problem with my I9505

Hi guys !
I've just bought a samsung galaxy s4 (i9505) (a used one not new) and i flashed Imperium v7 and modem GNF1 and bootloader GNF1 (initially the phone was on stock 4.2.2 and the problem was already there).
My problem is that i don't get the network i rarely see two or three bars but it directly goes to zero (i can see the no network sign) and stays like that until a reboot (as said it drops to no network very fast).
So my question, is it software ? (should i flash the latest samsung stock firmware ?) or is it hardware ? (replace the internal network ship ?)
Or is it a common problem on S4 i9505 and no solution cannot be found ? :crying:
Could it be related to CSC ?
Anyway, i hope anybody can help me because i really like this phone and the rom that i just installed ..
Feel free to ask me about additional informations.
EDIT : I already tried :
1) the modem+bl FNDA => same result
2) force the phone to gsm only => same result (maybe better but even it solves the problem there is no point to not having 3g activated all the time)

It's going to be pretty difficult to narrow this down with what you've posted. You say the problem was "already there" when you got the phone -- how long did you use it on the stock 4.2.2 rom before flashing a new one? Did you see exactly the same behavior before you started mucking with it?
Hi ! Finally an answer So i used it for about 3 days and i really can tell that it is the same behaviour
My fear is that it may be related to hardware .. I am gonna try to flash the latest samsung stock firmware (with its csc and modem) ?
Anyway any idea ??

In general I'd say it's worth getting the phone to "current" stock, or as close to it as possible, and seeing what kind of situation you're in (i.e. if the behavior disappears or changes in any way). If you're seeing it on every configuration, it seems reasonable to suspect that it could be a hardware issue -- especially given that you got the phone used.
Perhaps someone else knows of a more definitive test you can try.
Hey ! Thanks for the idea ! already flashed the latest samsung firmware and same problem .. i stayed in touch with the guy that sold it to me so he took it back to samsung sav where his friend (who work there) told him that this is a famous bug in the i9505 4g serie and that the only solution is a
nvm restore (something like that). Of course he'll do it for free cause we agreed that if a problem come out he'll have to solve it on his own.
Anyway, i hope to get it back tomorrow or monday ! I'll let you know what happened as soon as i get it back !
solution?
Were you able to solve the problem? in case u were, how? i have the same issue sometimes i have 3g network, then it goes to gprs then edge, sometimes when im connected to wifi i cant receive calls, but i can do calls, any idea?

[Q] Nexus 4 endless Bootloop. Help !!

So
I just fixed my broken Screen on my Nexus 4 (i earn money repairing phones), and i got a problem. The Proximity Sensor and Light sensors werent working so i just took them off and tried to boot up again. But my phone isnt booting anymore. It just keeps bootin inside a bootloop. Device was never rooted or unlocked. So i tried resetting but didnt work. Then unlocked the device and flashed a custom recovery and several different roms but didnt work either.
Now i wanted you guys help, if you could tell me if nexus devices dont boot up with missing hardware. Because my experience tells me that almost every smartphone even boot up with mossing hardware like the sensors and things.
Dont know if anyone ever had a problem like this, but i hope you guys can help me.
I dont want to huy a new proxysensor before being sure its about the missing hardware, cause the sensors are like 20 $ and that phone isnt much worth anymore.

I'm having the same problem with my Nexus 4. It just went into bootloop and i've tried flashing these stock roms. The phone turns on normally after flashing these roms but the radio doesn't work. It shows baseband unknown and no imei.
If anyone can help then it would be great.

I have the same problem too! I'm searching a method to restore imei but qpst can't find the nexus 4; if someone find a method please post it!
Sorry for my bad english!
Did anyone's Nexus 4 fell or got damaged before getting stuck into bootloop?
In one Thread i read that there was some issue with the vibrator in the phone and after removing it and reflashing the phone worked perfectly normal.
I guess my Nexus 4 fell the day before it got stuck into bootloop.
But i don't know how right i am so if anything like this happened then do post it here to let us know.
Has this been resolved??? I have same issue as OP, replaced screen for nexus 4 proximity sensor problem, then tried to fix it and now in bootloop even after unlocking device and flashing android 4.4.4 and 4.3
Could someone try this and post the result here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/tutorial-how-to-unbrick-n4-t2347060

Bootloop
same problem
Hey guys i don't know about the bootloop problem but i have changed my screen on my nexus 4 too and i had the proximity problem, i found a fix on the internet you just need to take the little rubber thing on the sensors with two holes and turn it around. I don't know why but it works. Hope this helps at least somebody.
If someone have another nexus 4, please backup EFS folder whit this http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/efs-nexus-4-imei-efs-backup-restore-t2740788, use it, move backup to compiter, open m9kefs1.img with an hex editor, find the place for IMEI code and change it to the original IMEI for not be illegal; maybe can work also from backup of another device that use EFS folder for IMEI.
If work please upload it without your IMEI
Sorry for my bad english

Did lg repair the phone? Sounds like the motherboard was damaged during the screen replacement.

Just for Clarification

Hey guys ,
Like many users of zuk z1 , I too faced the "No Network \ Airplane Mode Always ON " problem.
My device was rooted , so i re-flashed stock OS and locked the bootloader and gave my mobile to the service center.
They said it a Motherboard problem and they fixed it by replacing the phone's motherboard. (Warranty covered the charges)
I still don't know what caused the problem . I was constantly changing roms (like 3-4 roms in 2 weeks) before that problem occured.
So i just want to clarify whether changing roms could affect device hardware?
Thanks in Advance

If you doing all correct by flashing instructions, it will not affect hardware. I changed rom sometimes 3 times a day and all went well

Its most likely a hardware issue as you tried flashing stock firmware. Did you try flash stock modem?
