[ROM] RASTAPOP [Android 5.0.2_r1 LRX22G] [PRODUCT_DEVICE := flounder] - Nexus 9 General

I built rastapop for the nexus 9 and just wanted to share it.
http://d-h.st/zzr
Download the gapps from here:
http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/?rom=banks&device=gapps
@rascarlo I'd like to have your permission to support the nexus 9 and make an official thread if thats ok with you. Us flounders need some rasta love too!

Good work!

Please do it. It should go in the original section. Let me know how can I help. Contact me by email if you need

I love you, man, I really do. I've tried to build one in the past (from the first lollipop tag rascarlo's git had) for my flounder and failed at all levels... That thing bootlooped and I gave up immediately because I don't have any time ATM...
Now I can be faithful to rastapop on both N4 and N9.

Quick question, will this work on the LTE version?

I think they share the same device tree if I remember right. Could give it a shot. I forgot there was even an LTE version haha If you do let me know how it goes

Need Testers for Dark Paranoid port!

I don't use my phone often, only to check Twitter, and tumblr.. I need more testers for my port that I have done. I have talked to Daxxmaxx about this over twitter, he is allowing me to publically post it only if I refer you guys to the Original thread.
SO, I just ported my first ROM *Hooray*
I'm using this right now but I need other people helping to see if it's good, smooth, and what not.
Here is the ORIGINAL Rom thread for the Galaxy Nexus : Dark Paranoid Android

I couldn't post it to dev since I'm under 10 posts, since all I do here is Lurk. anyways if you are going to help please reply if you've downloaded or will try it out. Have a great day!

Just a suggestion. Add in the original post this is for the Nexus S and not the Nexus S 4G. I snuck a peak at your build prop to find out but others might not be so lucky and do a wipe on a Nexus S 4G only to find out they can't install it.
Good luck!

This port was based on which version of PA?
Sent from my GT-P6800 using Tapatalk 2
Same question as above.
Can we also have early reports please? I'd like to help you but since I rely heavily on my phone at work (GPS, agenda, basic functionality) it must no reboot every sec.
Does it includes some of DaxMax tweak for epsilon and the like or have you made it a "stock black PA" ?
Thanks for your work anyway.

I would be careful creating threads before something is built and booting, there's more than just downloading repos to getting a working build.
Just sayin.
If you need help with anything hit me up, working through various builds as well
I'll also test.
Id try it
I'd test it for you as well. :good: :good:

Best thing might be having this moved to general until a build is out. Then we could troubleshoot/go over build errors on record for the benefit of all. I was going to just put out the PAC builds, but we could do it together (in general) as it tends to be one of the easier ones to start with.
It building now it's just kernel issues. And alrighty I'm sorry for that >. <

Post that error again, and your roomservice.xml(can use Pastebin for that). I dont believe your kernel source is where it is supposed to be. Look in /kernel/samsung, is there anything in there?

You dont want to change the boardconfig. You're gonna want the klte kernel folder in there where its supposed to be
Post your roomservice.xml from .repo/local_manifests. You prob just need to sync a klte kernel repo to your tree
Aside from a few build errors(overlay/base package stuff) you should be able to essentially sync and build once your roomservice is figured out. It's not yet a supported device so its not gonna write it for you, thats what youre running into

PARANOID ANDROID FOR OUR BELOVED XPERIA SP
I am currently downloading the source code for the PA 5.1 And this is my first try ever in building a rom . it might take upto a week to set it up fully so please be patient because i have an epically slow internet connection.
Also i'm having issues with github in general . I have tried to learn its general working but i'm not sure . Any source or anyone intrested to teach me?
Also i'd like to thank @Furrydaus for his awsome guide for rom buildup. It was a great help. :good:

Take your time bro, eagerly waiting for it! And let me be your tester if you want any
Good luck and take your time

Just so you know that i'm very serious about developing the rom and i have tons of free time at hand so ill be active too. :highfive:

[NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP]Android M Dev Preview System Port

TESTING HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR THE TIME BEING. WE HAVE EVERYONE WE NEED CURRENTLY. WHEN THE TIME COMES THAT WE NEED MORE, WE WILL LET YOU KNOW.
This thread will be used to notify the members of XDA as to our current progress. Once an official release is ready, this will be converted to a Q&A thread. Currently we are working out some kernel issues and will let you know where that leads us. This will also be where we look for testers as we expand to other variants of the G3.
UPDATE: Currently our team is looking for a name. Since it was formed from random community members, we have decided to come back to the community to ask for suggestions as to what we should name the team. I would also like to state that we are currently testing a kernel that may get the M Preview booting. So wish us luck.

Yeah, really it doesn't need to be changed to the new format, but it would need a whole new updater-script, which I am not as familiar with as I would like to be due to time constraints and other priorities. So if @timmytim or @autoprime could take a look and help me out (if it's not too much trouble, of course) that would be awesome.)

Hey mate.
No, not me I'm afraid, but the dev who did this has done a handful of other builds from source it seems. I think the AOKP one in the dev forum is his which was smooth as. With the exception of no NFC.
Can't wait to flash and see what is working with LOS 15.0 though.

Did you factory reset after install this happens sometimes a factory reset normally does the trick.
Did this work for anyone didnt boot for me.
I wonder where are device sources for that build... There is no oreo branch sources for lithium that I can find... Although of course I just do not know how to look for them. Or maybe the developer made compatible tree, vendor and kernel himself and haven't had time to upload yet
What's strange is that that man builds a workable (if it is, I don't know) oreo build for Mix and doesn't share anywhere ... I would've done immediately :victory:
Anyway it is good news at least that someone's working on it albeit not yet successfully!

We can be 99.9% sure that we'll at least get a working Lineage build, and almost certainly one for RR too (Papps has already said it's coming). I know the OP2/3 have booting Oreo builds, if not fully functional just yet.
Pretty sure that if this actually worked it would already be in the ROMs section, as you said, but I tried it anyway. No luck. Factory reset, installed along with the GApps zip from the 24/8, using TWRP 3.1.1.2. Just sits at the MI boot screen. Maybe it'd only take an updated TWRP to boot, but as it stands it does nothing.
