HTC Repair Question

Hey all,
I've just had my HD2 back from a repair where my screen died. It's nice that they've fixed it and all, but they haven't replaced the VOID sticker on the battery compartment!
Essentially they've voided my own warranty!!! What should I do?
Ta
Don't worry. Spoke to HTC - they said I had to just take a photograph with a date stamp and keep it just in case I need another repair. Hmmmm!
same here
I too had the same issue.
I gave it to service center few months back for the hard keys were not working and today the screen stopped working((actually it had a very very bad accident but it survived don't know how)). i went to the service center today they asked for how did the seal got broken and i told them that they only have opened the device couple of months back. they checked the their computer and WOW now my hd2 is at service center.Iwill get the screen replaced in one week as the device is under warranty.

[Q] Out of warranty repair

Has anyone dealt with out of warranty repairs for stuff that was your own fault? I think I broke my microphone due to water damage when applying my wet screen protector. I contacted Google and they said they will send me a replacement and I can send them my phone but it says if LG finds out that it has been through user fault I might incur charges up to the full price of the phone. I am not sure if they will add more fees because I accepted a replacement. Has anyone send in their broken phone and received a replacement? How much did you have to pay for your issue? Or should I just contact LG directly and send in my existing phone and have them send me it back?

Is Samsung service center trying to rip me off ?

I've installed Cyanogenmod 13, didn't backup EFS and phone doesn't have correct IMEI when I use stock ROM.
so, I sent my device to Samsung service center, hoping they fix it
they called me today saying that they need to change the motherboard because there's no other way to fix IMEI, and they want 220$ at least.
are they correct?
Maybe ?
What is the issue with your phone ? Why did they need to replace the motherboard ?
Yes, OP, they will have to change that motherboard in an official service center. GSMA rules currently forbid changing the IMEI of GSM terminals.
You'll get a new motherboard, with a new IMEI and a new IMEI sticker on the back of your phone.
Alternatively, you can take it to a shop that has a Z3X-box/Octoplus box, and have it flashed with a new IMEI. Should be ~$10.
This happened to me back when I had a Note 3.
changing IMEI is illegal, but $220 is so dang expensive for a motherboard. You can say yes to samsung, or you can buy another phone with broket screen (same model) then swap the motherboard...
Seems I'm lucky to live in a place full of hackers and pirates xD
I found several shops that use z3x box, will try to look for the lowest price offer
