[Q] Please Help ! ! Enable USB Debugging From Pin / Pattern Lock Screen

Fellow XDA buddies...please help me on this one!
My colleague is locked out of his Galaxy S4 running Lollipop that has a pin / password lock that he inadvertently set and doesn't know what it was set to
We've Tried:
- Android Device Manager: After getting on the phone with a Samsung Mobile Tech and having them conference in a Google Tech... getting out of a pin lock screen is no longer compatible with ADM on Lollipop as it doesn't display the password input without first unlocking the phone via pin ...
- Samsung Find My Mobile: He never setup the Samsung Account/App on his phone before the forgotten pin issue ...
- Lollipop doesn't seem to have any vulnerabilities / workarounds to get past the lock screen when pin locked ...
- I have tried to use the Stock Recovery to apply the files suggested here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2308130 and here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/general/bypass-t3035553 and cann't get past the Signature Verification ...
- USB Debugging was never enabled so the adb exploits I found that involve SQLite or removing the key file do not work ...
- I have exhausted all the methods here because it doesn't have have root access or a custom recovery installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2620456
So without USB Debugging, Root or a Custom Recover (which requires root it seems), we are stuck!
I think the best bet would be to enable USB Debugging somehow while locked or from an upload we can make through the Stock Recovery or ODIN...
We would greatly appreciate if anyone can help!
Thank you,
-Chris
Usually the only option is a reset from recovery. Which will erase all user data. Pics, files... Etc.
That's the point of the pin lock... To protect your privacy mostly.
I have not heard of any other way to bypass the pin lock. Well, flashing firmware again works on most devices, but same result. All user data gone.
Flashing a new ROM through Odin I don't believe will work. If I recall correctly Odin doesn't wipe data when installing. Therefore, the only real option is a factory reset if you don't wish to root or install a custom recovery.
The only thing that you can save is files stored on the internal storage.
Apps, sms, contacts etc are gone. That is if you didn't make any backups.
If you want to save the files on your internal storage:
- Flash custom recovery (twrp)
- Wipe /system partition.
- Reflash a rom.

How to fix Clear credentials disabled/grayed out???

Hi,
I have a N910C Exynos (oem) on Lollipop and i´m tryning to wipe my credentials but in the Security options the "Clear credentials" option is disabled/grayed out. How can i turn this option on??
Explain and Things that i already tried:
Problem starts after i tried to root my galaxy. It was already in 5.1.1 (OTA installed) and when i tried to root i got a boot loop.
- I did the factory reset wiping cache and data/factory reset and still got on boot loop
- Tried to return to original condition installing by Odin the 4.4.4 stock version but got sw rev check fail .... 2 binary 1 on android screen and Fail status in Odin
- Tried to install 5.0.1 and same thing
- Installed 5.1.1 normal.
- After boot up, Clear credentials (as some other features, like lock screen) was already grayed out
- Tried to do a downgrade and Fail
- Tried to do the encrypt and decrypt the SD card, but same thing
- Tried to unlock screen with samsung find my phone, change to pattern mode, choose a pin code after pattern, reboot, put the wrong pattern on porpouse but it never ask for the pin so i could try to use google account to reset
- Tried to uncheck and check every admin
I tried pretty much everything that everyone write on this forum and internet. Nothing seems to work.
Is there any third part app to clear credentials or anyone has any idea how can i fix this F#[email protected]# problem??
Plz, Help

When the clear credential is grayed out means there aren't any credentials to wipe. Basically, what is your problem?

In Security section some options are grayed out with this status "disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage"
The Encrypt device option have only Pin and fingerprint on, the rest is disabled... I saw that if i clear the credentials it would fix this problem...

So, try to explain better your issue via posting some screenshot or writing more clearly.
Do you mean the Screen Lock Type?
-from Lock screen and security > Screen Lock Type
I think you previously encrypted your device and now you are having issues, have you tried to get access to your old files?

I´m new here, can´t post any links to my photos. Sorry if i´m not been clear, my english is not that good. I´m from Brazil. But i will try to explain more clearly here:
1 - I go to the Settings > System > Security
2 - In Security tab i choose Encrypt device (codificar dispositivo)
3 - Then i click to choose the lock screen option
4 - The 3 options are grayed out, just the PIN (senha) and Fingerprint (Impressão Digital) are enabled
I just got the phone. Brand new. Then i tried to root but got stock in boot loop, so i installed the stock rom and then i saw this problem.
I have never encrypted the phone nor the SD. I can access everything in my phone but this options. Knox are diabled to, since i tried to root and got Knox status 1.
The only way to highlight the 5 screen lock options is if i go to samsung find my phone, click in unlock screen device. Then the phone gets unlocked and i got a pop up to choose a new screen lock. But if i choose, for an example, Pattern, i draw the pattern, choose a pin code, but as soon i finish it all options get grayed again.
And in the lock screen i can draw the wrong pattern as many times as i want but i don´t got the option to use de PIN to get into device.

Oka, now i've got your problem. Try to check if all the Android Certificates are enabled. Settings > Security > Other Security Settings > View security certificates

Ok, the path is a a little bit different for me. I´m in the Security -> Trusted Credentials... Here i can see 2 tabs: System and User
In system there ar a lot of credentials and they are all enabled, in user i have none.
Just a heads up: I already tried to disable all of them one by one before. Didn´t help
Did you ever get this figured out? I have tons of certificates installed and turned on. Some are from China, Turkey and in other languages. I want to remove them all but Clear Credentials is greyed out. I'm using a Samsung S5 on v6.0.1 (not rooted).

yesterday i factory reset my sister's galaxy grand prime VE duos SM-G531H/DS
its now asking for the owners gmail account but i and nobody knows what was the gmail account used in this phone (no body remembers it)
i have tried many ways available in the internet like installing an apk which brings the setting menu and i did a factory reset from there but still it is asking for the previously used gmail account.
Some Info:
Model: SM-G531H
Android Version :5.1
Security patch level: March 2016
frp lock is ON so cannot flash any custom recoveries or Roms
phone is not rooted so cannot delete any google apks
usb debug is not enabled and cannot enable it
i have not yet tried flashing the stock firmware again.
will flashing a stock firmware solves this problem ? or is there any other easy way ?
Try doing what you were doing with the settings menu and try to activate OEM Unlock on the Developer Options! Tell me if it worked

Help: Removing PIN from TWRP and System

Hello,
I need help: my note 7 asks me for a PIN when I start the system (Android) and also when I enter TWRP, and I want to remove these PIN requests.
In the 1st rom change (from Miui to pure Android - HavocOS), I did, in the following order:
-format data
-Wipe: system, dalvick, cache and date
When the system started for the first time, I configured the fingerprint sensor together with a 4 digit PIN and it is this PIN that I have to put in the system and the TWRP.
I tested other roms (Bootleggers, crDroid) and it happens the same. I've tried other recoverys, including OrangeFox and the same happens.
I've also tried reinstalling the rom by doing only format data (not doing Wipes) and doing the same.
I received the device with the rom: MIUI 10.3 Stable (10.3.5.0) [PFGMIXM]
The model name is: M1901F7G.
The Android version: 9 PKQ1. 180904.001
What else can I do?
Try not to setup pin after flashing rom and see bro...
I have managed to solve half of the problem: it is no longer encrypted and in TWRP it no longer asks for any PIN.
But on Android I do not accept the PIN that I set up along with the digital print, tell me that it is wrong.
Now the problem is to use PIN + fingerprint. I set up a PIN and when using that same PIN, tell me the PIN is wrong.
If you do not configure PIN, I can not use it without problems, but I lose access to the use of the print sensor
I rooted my device and installed magisk on the stock rom miui 10.3.5 for redmi note 7 will i receive ota updates?
and if not in order to flash newer miui versions of the rom do I need to flash vb meta?

i am in the same situation man, i don't understand what is the problem and what is wrong...
In my case it was bad configuration, because I set up safe boot and this way I mistakenly assumed that this was related to encryption, but the error was only mine.
Check if you have set safe boot. With safe, always-on boot (a pin, a pattern or a password) every system boot and every time you enter TWRP.
Sorry my English.
