How is the lag? Is it better or worse than the last release of cm11 for note 3 exynos?

Its Better than cm11. But i didnt try Last release.

Ok then. As soon as mobile data works, I'm flashing cm12 and posting logs.

SPen works with very big delay (possible kernel derp)
And some power.universal5420.so improvements (thanks to @RaymanFX), so now BACK and MENU buttons isn't clickable when screen off. May be need some tweaks in kernel or params to properly boost cpu (values was given from stock power.exynos5.so).

Is this release capable of mobile data?

I've flashed last release and seems good enough. Mobile data doesn't work, though. Some occasional crashes, laggy UI, etc. Couldn't get the flashlight working. WiFi works great. CPU settings were absent. Battery life is good. Didn't sense any drainage.

new lollipop cyanogenmod12 rom
Really it does lag very much. Please make some tweaks and send d stable version asap. I just installed it today. Nothing works.. no mobile data no flashlight n not even camera. I just returned back to my lollipop veitnam rom

Compared to cm11 it's very smooth. Mobile data, flashlight or camera doesn't work. I couldn't get the brightness control working.
Also, can anyone tell me how I should get logs and which part of it?

Im tired of crappy roms for i9000 help me find good one

As in title i am frikin tired of crappy unfinished or clone roms sadly i am not so pro and do not have time to make custom rom myself that would fit my needs. So then I want KitKat rom that will NOT have:
- black incoming call screen for who knows how many seconds (occurs in CyanogenMod 11, SlimKat 4.4.2 build 5)
- a bug making smarthpone send the same sms message gazzilions times ( occurs in SlimKat 4.4.2 build 5)
- a bug that makes airplane mode drain your battery in monstrous speed (occurs in SlimKat 4.4.2 build 5)
- random restarts (occurs in CyanogenMod 10 and 11, SlimCat 4.4.2 build 5, Paranoid Android)
- frozen screen that is not possible to unlock for who knows how long even if you ram that frikin power button like pro gamer (occurs in CyanogenMod 10 and 11, SlimKat 4.4.2 build 5, Paranoid Android)
- laggy pattern unlock screen (occurs in CyanogenMod 10 and 11, SlimKat 4.4.2 build 5, Paranoid Android)
So yea I do not want this.
What i want is:
Tiny lightweigh and blazing fast android rom without tons of crap like pie menu and other stuff you will never use for anything other than showing off to friends. And thats it so i hope you will help me find such rom kindly sir's.
By the way I will not buy it and don't even want to hear excuse that the black incoming call screen is occuring because of hardware limitation. This is a bullsht and you know it.
+1 if i may add,the multi screen on everything feat would also be nice

Sorry but I do not understand what answer you have in mind. I did write with huge bold letter that I do NOT want a rom that has any of such bugs and they are not questions they are facts that I did obeserve by using this roms. To make it simple, roms I did mention do have such flaws and thats why I am looking for other ones.
Try Mackay rom 4.4.4. I'm satisfied with it.

Have a wander through the thread in my signature and see if there's anything that can help, but none of us can give you a definite answer
Thanks I will try mackay
Maybe kit kat ROMs aren't for you? Least
not just yet until development has come a notch further. I've tried Mackay kit kat and cm 11 and cyanAOSP and omnirom nightly. I found omnirom and cyanAOSP to be my favourites so far. I suffered the shortest call delay with these two. About 2-3 seconds which isn't terrible, it takes that to hear it ring and take it out of your pocket , But omni ran the best for me with the least amount of bugs and crashes. All these builds have had updates since I last tested so could have improved a lot maybe?? I'll be testing again soon cus I love the 4.4 bling. But I also love speed so for now I'm using xbean 4.1.2 which is a beautiful ROM.

I prefer to stay on builds with regular updates. I'm currently playing between OmniROM and Paranoid Android. Both updated regularly. And their running quite well for KitKat. KitKat feels very pleasant to use in comparison to older android builds. Maybe not a snappy as older ones, but defiantly smoother.
L-Droid v.2.2.2, Kit kat 4.4.4. The best one that I tried
CyanAOSP 4.0 is very fast and good for games

Mokee OpenSource ROM

I've not seen this ROM mentioned for Moto X before... but here it is:
http://download.mokeedev.com/?device=moto_msm8960dt
Details about this ROM:
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion...
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application: http://www.mfunz.com/en/developer-application, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server!
Some benefits of Mokee:
Phone & Messaging
Quick contacts look up, speed dialing, caller location and other useful features
Colorful Themes
Unleash the creative side of you, customize how your phone looks; make it cool, make it colorful!
Smart Controls
Increase your productivity with Active Display, Lockscreen Notifications and other shortcuts
Power Saver
With our unique battery saving strategies, get the most out of your phone's battery
Snippet from a review at techgeekal.com
"Some would accuse me of wrongly placing mokee OS above giants like PA and CM. But I shall give you the reasons why I have done that. First and foremost this ROM has all of the features the above mentioned CM11 has like dual SIM compatibility and being absolutely bug less. But it comes with the added incentive of a number of other features that CM lacks. Things like Multi Windows, List view animations, Halo, Active display including various others are not found in CM natively but in Mokee OS these work absolutely perfectly. Now some may even say that PAC and Carbon too have some of these features, but they lack dual SIM support which is why this is currently the ROM to beat. Its got everything you can ask for, from features to stability. And they are constantly adding new features which makes it even better."
I'm going to flash it now, and will post my opinion shortly...
First impressions:
1) Buttery smooth, polished and snappy; CM11-type setup process. Some native Chinese options appear right off (not of interest to me, but I wanted to mention that it was easy to select English as the default...)
2) I'm using an XT1060 Verizon Moto X. And while the ROM states it's for the msm8960dt, I waited several (uncomfortable) minutes on first launch before it detected a cell signal. All seems fine now. Strength is on par with CM11 4.4.4. I haven't used the ROM long enough to know if Mokee shares the same problems as CM11...
3) Really nice OTA interface, with frequency choices as to how often it checks for new versions to update.
4) The ROM throws up the error that ART is not officially supported, but you can easily select it in Settings/Developer Options and reboot. If you haven't done this before, I was quickly reminded that it takes FOREVER to convert all of your apps to ART...
5) Supports Cyanogenmod Themes - nice touch. I love the Flux theme (all but their icons - I substitute Velur).
6) I seem to be able to scroll up and down pages with this ROM faster than any other I've used before. Render time is incredible.
More soon...
And about 1080p back câmera record?
1080p option...though they must have their labeling backwards...that should be for "rear camera"...

I used PA 4.4.4 gapps and it is working beautifully.
A little lag here and there but not a deal-breaker.
Now I just need to test gps and if it has no issues, this will be my daily driver for now.

I used PA Gapps, and google keyboard force closed. Then wipe data and cache, then install rom, and doesn't install gapps, and reboot to rom. And the rom contains gapps. Hmmm...
I used PA 4.4.4 gapps also. I don't stay with other ROMs too long, as Verizon seems to really be sensitive with signals when I'm not on stock... so I didn't get to test the Active Display function. Either way, Floatify, DynamicNotifications, and NotifierPro are all great solutions for any ROM. I did notice lockscreen notification swipe panes on Mokee were functioning and nice though.
A few very minor issues with a couple of apps...I couldn't get BackDrop Root Pro, for example, to recognize that BusyBox was indeed installed.
I would likely have kept it if it weren't for the signal.
PS - I cant recall exactly where, but I believe if you install the ROM and then go to Settings / Mokee Center / Extras, you will see that the ROM will allow you to download and install gapps right from there...

I am using the release version of Mookie, not the nightly build, with pa_gapps-stock-4.4.4-20140629-signed.
I did a complete wipe including system folder.
So far I have two single issues after using this rom all day and they are minimal.
1. I had a f/c when I received my first call after installing the rom. The issue has not repeated itself after several incoming calls.
2. Btooth does not seem to be sending music data to my car stereo, which usually displays music information.
These two issues are all that I've had after a full day of use.
A couple of things.
Battery life is good. Seems a little bit better even, compared to stock, at least fot me. Still the best battery life I have had so far is with Krypton.
I used the camera, gps, bluetooth, wifi, wired and wireless headstes and had absolutely zero issues.
Call quality is good, as well as volume. There are no speakerphone issues. Gps locks very fast and stays locked.
CM11 themes work perfectly. And camera seems to be working fine.
I love the little touches added to the rom.
All in all, I say this is superb, and for a new rom, it feels like it is ready for prime time.
ROM is running very smooth without any issues...using gapps 6.30.2014 with an unlocked, non Dev, VZW Moto X. The theming is very nice too....

Translation has been corrected on yesterdays release, it now displays front and rear cameras correct resolution.
But rear facing camera has been limited to 320x240. It is the front facing camera that can record up to 1080p.
Photo resolution seems to be ok.
Battery usage looks higher now, on last release.
Im gonna try this, thanks!!
Doh! After updating to 7/12 I'm having signal and GPS issues.
Going back to previous version to see if it is resolved.

Because the developer is not here....there's no kernel source code linked....there's a very specific set of rules/guidelines for posting a rom in the development section.

[Q] Cyanogenmod 11 and 12?

I have some newbie questions:
- I was wondering why there weren't any CM11 version for the S4 (T-Mobile) on cyanogenmod.com?
- Also, how can I get the stock Lollipop icons on the CM12 nightly?
- Will there be a stable version of CM12 eventually or will it only be nightlies?
- How stable are the nighlies?
Thanks
CM11 was a unified project I think. Meaning that all CM roms were under the JFLTXX project..
Stock lollipop meaning? If you want a pure android experience, go with a GPE rom.
Devs start working on Nightlies once the rom has reach a stable status, as far as I know.
So it's Alpha>Beta>RC>Stable>Nightlies.

That's what I thought too from my experience with CM7 some years ago. But I can't find the stable build. But I've decided not to use it because on a ongoing bug with the microphone having a very low volume. I tried two different fixes to no avail. Other than the fact that it's a phone and the microphone is kind of important, I record song ideas on my phone.
Stock lollipop I mean just the icons that come with lollipop. CM12 changes a lot of the icons to their own.

A nightly build is a neutral build. These typically take place when no one is likely to be working in the office so that there are no changes to the source code during the build.

If you want stock icons, go with a GPE rom. It offers the pure android experience. Exactly like google developed it.

I did not know that! I'll have to check it out! As far as icons are concerned, they're just icons. If I like CM12 I won't let that come in my way. Plus I haven't found GPE version that works well on my phone (for Lollipop, not KitKat).
That being said I still don't know if there ever was a stable release of CM12. And what is a snapshot release?

AntaresOne and Alucard's optimized CM12 builds seem to be stable. I flashed it on a friends s4 and it works fine.
The GPE rom builds by Danvdh are pretty stable. I have no issues here. Been very stable and problem free since the day I first flashed the rom. Also has nice battery life. Battery stats once reported up to 14 day of battery life wheb idle
Edit: You can find a description about nightly, snapshot, rc, and stable in the cyanogenmod device selection. If they didn't change the layout. But I know for sure there were descriptions of what each of those terms mean

Thanks!
For Danvdh indeed it seems to be a great ROM but I can't use is on my phone. I have a bug that I was never able to get rid of no matter what type of wiping I used or what kernel I installed and I'm unable to get the logcat through ADB to report the bug properly. I install it and everything runs smoothly until the screen shuts off after being idle for 10 minutes. Then I wake it up and instead of showing me the lock screen it tries to show the home screen, then the screen goes blank, then goes black, shows the home screen, goes blank, goes black and so on until I reboot it. Once it's rebooted, on the lock screen I get a UI System has crashed message. The phone is then ususable because I can't get further than that. I would love for it to work as it would give me GPE and Lollipop!

On my phone it's working really really fast. I don't know how they did that. The only thing is that it's based on 5.0 so with the bugs that were originally on 5.0. I hope it'll be updated to 5.1. But otherwise it's great!

After trying "all" ROMs for UMI Zero I'm using the SuperLeggera. Until now It was the only ROM that works normally. After one month of use only two reboots on "iddle WIFI". With other ROMs including (!) EMUMI the UMI reboots no less than one time per day.
Perhaps with CM11 and Android 4.4.4 we have even a better behaviour. After 5 hours (I know it's too soon) the only strange thing is that I cannot change the default keyboard.
For now:
- No reboots
- Very Fast
- SmartCase works fine
- Antutu got 32097
Good Work. If I can help with specific tests let me know.
When restart the widget's won't load ?
....sorry, it work's, but widget's needs to be reinstalled. It not worked because I made restore from rootjoy.
No Reboots (Finally!)
The first Rom without reboot on wifi idle.
When the already identified bugs fixed, will have the best rom for umi zero(i guess)
Great job (again)
Best ROM?
Status After 5 days:
Reboots: OK (zero reboots!)
Bluetooth: Ok (connection to Moto 360, Car and notebook)
Gps: Not working
Video: don't record
Wifi: Ok
Very stable and fast. If gps and video recording can be fixed we'll have the better ROM for UMI ZERO, I think
Port to ZOPO ZP980+
Hello Arcatarc,
after trying several ports for MT6592-based phones for my ZP980+, I tried to port your ROM, as the specs for the UMI Zero are quite similar.
The only thing I did in a fist attempt was to change the kernel in the boot.img. After flashing the prepared ROM, the phone booted! Wifi and Bluetooth aren't working, but hey, it's a first step into the right direction!
I will try to fix more things by copying files from my stock ROM to the CM11-ROM at the weekend.
---
After all I managed to get wifi working. Bluetooth and GPS don't work up to now. Maybe there is some expert who knows what to do to make these things running.
Recommended Rom?
Arcatarc, what ROM you recommend? I'm still using yours CM11 but i need the Gps... revert to superleggera?
Hi all,
Any Update in CM11?
All features are working on superleggera without reboots?
I prefer much more an asop rom than superleggera style. Much more customitzation and options. But the second is working perfect atm. Do you recomend me to change? is cm11 stable?
how about battery? only getting 3h screen time max with superleggera and greenify.
I dont care gps because never use it. (btw in my superleggera it's not working)
thx
Battery
With CM11 the battery shows the correct values .
The battery temperature when the phone is "iddle" is 19º but when using some apps, for example browsing with chrome it reaches 30º.
These values are acceptable for the battery health?
CM 11 development stopped?
It means that CM 11 will not have further development? Switching back to "SuperLeggera"...

CM 11 for UMI it's the only ROM without the Reboot problem that's why I have great expectations.
Meanwhile I'll try the new EMUMI to check if the Reboot problem is resolved.
Any updates on the Cm11 for Umi Zero?

Rom progress?
After 2 weeks with EMumi completa installed after the CM 11 with same usage I'll share some points:
CM11
No Reboots
Fast
Battery 12 hours
No GPS
EMumi
2 reboots
Fast
Battery 32 hours
GPS: Fast Fix, but lost position while driving
Better Camera
It is possible that the problems with CM11 will be difficult to resolve and UMI team seems to be lost with other ROMs with older problems...
For now I'll keep the EMumi completa. Thanks for the excellent work!!

About Cyanogenmod 11 for Umi Zero
Hello Arcatarc,
I tested the EMUIml update for Umi Zero. Do you plan to moderate CM11 for Umi Zero because of the issues? Even though I installed EMUI and it worked on Umi Zero comparing with graphic and light CM11 ROM, CM11 is much better and user friendly for daily usage.
On Emui even though I have tested and flashed with differend Basebands you have mentioned again my Network signal is too weak. It is not like that on CM11. I have strong signal i good 2G coverage and the 3G is more stable than on EMUI ROM.
The most furstrating issue of CM11 is battery drain, Proximity Sensor issue during call, Video Record (can't record). Everything works without lags and very soft on CM11. It is not like that on EMUI.
Is there any chance to take care for Update the CM11 for users like me?
Thank you

Lineage/AOSP very stable?

Hello everyone.....
If I went through every post I could probably find the answer to this question, but....im due to go away for a week....and as a serial flashaholic, I want a very stable (calls, texts, browsing, camera and video camera and the odd game) Rom....i in reality want a nougat Rom, but it's gotta be aosp/Los Rom that will not crash or bugger up....
I don't use GPS or swipes or any other bits, been there done that... just want the above....and a good battery too....
Can anyone help???
GARY

One of the best Nougat ROM's out there is ViperOS by Luke, search for it under Exynos Development. Great battery, decent camera you can use GCam Mod for way better quality) and no bugs whatsoever.
Currently running Ivan's latest Lineage OS 15.1.
Will give this a go....cheers bud
