I have a Galaxy S4 (jflteatt). I want to port certain elements of other roms to a GPe rom for my device (this rom is AOSP).
The elements I wanna port:
CarbonRom Privacy Manager
Cyanogenmod Theme Engine
ParanoidAndroid card recents
ParanoidAndroid Peek
ParanoidAndroid Dynamic System Bars
All the roms are compatible with my device. I want to port these over because of the locked bootloader -- I cant install custom roms with safestrap but i can install a modded GPe one.

I have been unable to find GIT repositories for any of these features. Furthermore, I have been unable to find any good way of porting these features.

my question is can AOSP become a base rom, ty b4
Anything can be a base rom (normally unmodded)
a base rom is selected be it stock cm aosp pa & then themes framework changes & mods are added to it
My question is whether it would be possible in the rom XNote create a theme based on cm11 with the AOSP (already great) because the AOSP is all very black and amazing kitkat serious issue, it's an idea. Thanks and attached capture settings cm11. Thanks!!

I am using a hacked Chinese version of PAC-ROM 4.4.4 Dev, as we now have no maintainer.... and now all existing builds have been removed from the official PAC download site (why, I don't know??). So the hacked Chinese version is all I can get...
1) Just wondering where I can find "Driving Mode" in the PAC ROM 4.4.4 ?
2) Is it possible to change the icons in the Weather Panel, as the original PAC (JellyBean) you was able to change these icons to colour versions... The basic outline version doesn't look as nice....

Hi All,
Doesn't matter now, I've removed PAC-MAN rom, as I find PAC too buggy and unreliable for now.... Gone back to DU, offers similar features if not a few more and appears to be more stable.

I am looking for an answer or a possible solution for "Why Themes are no longer working in Android L"
Details >> I've tried 2-3 Roms (Touchwiz Android L versions (leaked and official both)), There is an option for Themes and in that only 2 themes are present by default.(Basic and Natural). Now no matter what i do i can't seem to get the custom themes to work. I've tried simple installing, Going to root and adding them there and changing proper permissions or simply flashing "Launcherthemes.zip" that contains all the custom themes. But after all that is done and i reboot my phone and then go "Themes" Section, only default themes that were present at the time of the flashing of the rom is present.
Any help guys? Am i missing something ?

The install process for ROMS located in the android original development threads seem to be different than installation for roms in the Unified development section. It seems the unified roms require a custom recovery like TWRP to be installed (which I do not/ cannot have). Do the unified roms work with safestrap like the original roms do? Is it possible to install CM based roms on my s5 with safestrap?
Can someone explain the difference in the installation process? For this example, lets use stock based tw 5.0 BOC4 (from original development) and CM12 (from unified).
Furthermore, can someone explain how I would go from stock based tw 5.0 BOC4 to CM12 and back again?
