[App] Permission Manager - Ascend Mate 7 General

Hi,
for everyone , that are missing the Permission App in EMUI 3.0.
With this Huawei App you can unhide the Permission Manager
if you can't download the Huaweis App "PM Plus" from Play Store to enable the Permission Manager
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.huawei.pmplus
you can find the extracted APK from a Ascend P7 in the Attachment
you don't need root
i tested it on my Mate 7 and it worked

Do you know if there is a Emui 3 plug-in to set "first day" to count in data-traffic monitor (settings)? I haven't anymore on my p6 B707 emui 3. Thanks.

I installed the permission manager, now the battry is draining faster and phone heating up like it has an SD810
Time to consider uninstall.

Thanks. I've been looking for it for months

Don't install it. It drains my battery a lot faster now, although it does work. Need to know more about it.
I uninstalled the app but the permission function is integrated into phone manager anyway and it still gives prompts and drains it.

very useful, tks a lot
Sent using XDA One

it works on my LT-10 b324
no battery draining
block few apps from accessing my phone unnecessarily namely facebook etc
very usefully
at least give some option to our mate 7 since rooting almost impossible.

Whaaat? Rooting is piece of cake. Unlock bootloader flash TWRP via fastboot and than flash SuperSu.zip
And it's done. You have root.

can I save battery life by using permission manger ???

Hi,
I am using Permission Manager on my MT-09 with Lollipop (5.1..1) and the Bluetooth permission does not seem to work. I have set an application to "Allow" using Bluetooth yet when the application starts I have always a pop-up in which I must confirm the application to switch on Bluetooth.
Blocking with the Permission Manager usually works.
Cheers,
Anubis

I managed to get my battery drain under control. I think it was from some poor settings in the permission manager. Maybe being locked down too hard sees apps always looking to access the web and consuming resources more? I loosened up control and it does run better.

Huawei G7
Hi!
I have Huawei G7 with Android 5.1.1. & EMUI 3.1 . My device isn't compatible with this app. Is there any resolution about this problem? I want to manage app permissions.
Thanks.

If your phone is rooted and you can install Xposed, there is a module for permission management.
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.droidmate.permaster
Both our Mate 7 phones here are on 5.1.1 and EMUI 3.1 and the Huawei Permission Manager app works with that.

Granting root permissions

I rooted my phone using the only avaliable exploit root out currently and was playing around with an app called Du Battery Saver.
I noticed there was an option for controlling the CPU and making it lower while in lock-screen but it needs root permissions.
I have SuperUser and I have tried opening it up, but currently there is 2 apps I am using that are in the list and where ever I go I can't seem to find a way to grant root permissions to this app. Usually when I open the app, it just asks if I want to grant permission to it.. but this one just won't and no google search is helping me out at all.. no info on it whatsoever.
----------
Also off-topic, but I have Next Launcher installed and was wondering if there is a workaround when you restart the phone and it asks which application you want to use for the home screen button, I've google searched it and it seems its like a pretty annoying problem.
I was maybe thinking of deleting Easy Launcher and ToughWiz home so that it defaults to Next Launcher automatically. Would that be possible or would I brick it?
Tell me some more about your phone model etc...

Is SuperUser updated to the latest and its binaries as well?
It's a Samsung Galaxy 4S SGH-I337, the AT&T version
I'm actually not sure how to update SuperUser, it was installed when I used the MotoChopper exploit, here is the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252248
I looked it up on the playstore and it just said installed, no option to update or anything.
no options to update within the superuser app either.

ok, I know this is a very late reaction. But I googled this thread because I had the same problem with root permission for Du Battery Saver.
The solution is simple:
You have to activate SuperSu in settings first.
Then when you go to Du Battery and activate Lower CPU frequency you can automatically activate root ...
Hope this makes sense and is mayby of use to other people with same issue.

I've looked it up, can't tell you exactly anymore where you had to enable Supersu as I don't have it on my new smartphone yet (OPO).

If you want to save battery I recommend Greenify over DU battery saver for rooted devices.

There is no settings in the su as before to provoke permission what should we do

Block access apps to unnecessary parts

Hi everybody
Lately I installed some apps, and I've had to give permission to access unnecessary parts of my device that requested when installing the apps. For example:
1-a Dictionary have access to my contact.
2-a Car id finder read my phone status and identity.
3-a Toolbox has access to my camera to take pictures and video, whereas this toolbox has nothing to do with my images or videos.
So here's my question:
how can I block this kind of access after installing apps?

chinese honor v9 : how can I add google services ?

hello,
I bought the honor v9 in Macau last week. It is beautiful, but useless as google services are not available, so currently all I can do is use it as a paperweight
Is there a way I can add google account info, play store and services, or is there maybe a standard android rom I could use ?
I've tried adding the corresponding apks to no avail.

nicolas

Just type Google to hiapp and download the playstore.
Also you must download contacts and calendar sync and give all the permissions.
Google Play Store doesn't work
Thanks for your reply, I've tried that after a factory reset but it doesn't work. The play store doesn't start, it opens but stays blank, can only see it when i press the open applications button.
Previously i had tried to duplicate my honor 8 using huawei's clonephone app, everything (all apps) was transferred but no Google app works. I think it is because Google Play services is missing, and I can't find it on hiapp (and google doesn't show the honor v9 in my list of phones so i can't do it online).
Previously i had also used apks to install the whole suite in the right order, same problem every time. Some apps open but entering my Google id is always impossible.
I guess I should root the phone to install gapps, but given that it is very recent i haven't found and instructions to root this model.
I'm running out of ideas
Looks like that you shouldn't buy phone in China, if you want to use google services. Maybe you can download google play apk from apkmirror.com, for example and then install it from sd card?
Go to the Hiapp download GMSinstaller (will uninstall all google service instances and reboot). After that download playstore for the hiapp market and you are good to go.

Maybe you can install Google with Google installer for the Xiaomi device I think that might work
Very hard...haha, you open hiapp, install gms, open it, auto reoot, after you open hiapp again and install google play store, open it, done.
you can try GMSInstaller it works for me just fine
I guess Huawei started the confusion through removing the gmsinstaller app from the store. Here is a link from the Mate 9 Forum! Works perfectly on the V9

If someone have messed up with Senors, then flash this zip given in download

If all the above doesn't worked for you and still you want the fitness tracking app then you should install this alternative to u health.

Its better than u health in some cases: it gives the proper GPS support in tracking bicycling and running while UHEALTH doesn't able to find GPS and used motion sensors only .
So the choose is yours

Unfortunately same crashes on Z2pro AEX5.2
Hi everyone,
Somehow i made the app to work on AEX 8.1. However, for the heart reading the app uses camera and flash instead of actual sensor!?
Vijaypatildcz2, how did you read your heart bits?

Wow, it's great. So can you try to install old version of U-health app? In z2 pro theme cosme made port for castom 7 Androids. Just unpack on PC zip file and take U-health app. Probably it could work!
Because on LA14.1 I used cosme port and than I tried to update U-health app to version from ZUI 3.5 I had same problem with heart rate sensor - camera and flashlight activated instead of heart rate sensor.
Well actually I took cosmed app and installed it. Then i removed uhealth. Note that it is a system app so you would need to remove with root explorer or similar. Than I installed the latest app. Of course manually give all permission to uhealth and lenovo acc before opening the app.
