I recently dropped my unrooted and stock S4 i9500 running kitkat. From outside it had no significant damages and the drop was not very high but everytime i turn it on it is stuck in an infinite boot loop. I have tried so many methods from charging it, taking of its batteries, and trying to reach recovery mode and download mode. None of it works, it can't reach recovery mode so i can't do a factory reset, and when i reach download mode i cannot press the volume up button and in the end it will go back to the boot loop. Do you guys have any suggestions for a newbie over here?

Check the push buttons for damage , specially the power button may be stuck

Galaxy S4 Won't Boot
I've been unable to boot my phone past the "Samsung Galaxy S4" screen for the past few days. When I was using it a few days ago, it suddenly froze and then it got stuck on the logo-screen ever since. The phone was not rooted or modified in any way.The phone's warranty expired a few months ago, so I can't ship it to Samsung without paying ~$100. I suspect that the phone is soft-bricked, but I've been unable to un-brick it.
It's a Fido Galaxy S4 SGH-I337M.
Things that I've tried:
Flick, wiggle, and hit the power button to potentially dislodge a stuck power button
Flashing the stock firmware (I tried this several times)
Selecting "Firmware update and initialization" on Kies
I attempted to boot into recovery mode to clear the cache, but, I'm unable to boot into recovery mode. (I pressed the home, volume-up, and the power button until the blue screen on the upper-left corner appeared. Then I let go of the power button)
Flash TWRP in-hopes of being able to access recovery(It was a longshot).

If it froze without you doing anything and you cannot boot it anymore then I am afraid you have hardware damage.

Is there anything that I can try to revive my phone?
It all started with trying to flash TWRP recovery and it keeps going downhill. Long story short I couldn't boot into download mode I tried every button combo none of them worked especially the volume down because all it did was bring me to a recovery menu all in Chinese. Well now my phone is stuck in boot loop if anyone can help me I'll surely appreciate it.
Hi, I have a Galaxy S4 I9500 and I'm using GEAR CM13
The ROM was working fine until a while ago, but now suddenly there's a bootloop. Last thing I remember doing was accidentally holding the power button a bit long (while trying to lock the phone) so the power off/reboot menu came up and and then I tried to exit from it, but the menu didn't go away and the phone entered into a boot loop
Now, the Samsung i9500 logo just keeps flashing every 5 seconds. I'm unable to enter into recovery mode. I can enter download mode but it just exits out of that after 5 seconds and starts flashing i9500 logo again. I read about a hack to remove battery as soon as I enter download mode and it worked. It stays on download mode now. ODIN recognizes the device. What can I do using ODIN to fix the bootloop? Is there any ODIN flashable zip? I'm on the latest [20160711] build. I have important data in my device. Please help me recover it
I know I can reflash stock ROM and from there, reflash GearCM13 but I do not want to lose data as much as possible. I'm trying for fixes which do not wipe my data partition. I will go ahead with the standard method if I do not find a fix to recover from bootloop without losing data.

I would suspect the power button first (probably stuck). Some hits to the power button using a solid, hard surface will help.

Hi i'm currently stuck with a problem. This problem started i entered download mode and got a prompt saying "Installing a custom OS can cause harm to this device, do you want to install a custom OS?" I clicked on no and now my phone just keeps going to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, powered by android screen. I have tried many solutions but none of them work. I have tried booting into recovery mode but nothing happens, when I try to boot into download mode it just goes back to the splash screen. Please Help! :crying:

You want to press VOLUME UP, power and home buttons. Hold until you see Samsung then release. You are booting up in download mode by mistake.
Hey everyone, I recently got an i9505 that...Is unable to boot and stay on. It doesn't get past the splash screen and reboots itself, the only way to let it stay on is booting in recovery mode or download mode. I tried flashing various Odin packages and PITs, but nothing changed, except for the fact that before it wasn't able to boot in recovery, while now it is. I tried booting with another battery, but the result is the same, and the problem isn't the power button since it doesn't reboots while in recovery or in download mode. Any suggestions to make this old thing work again? Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English.

Start by booting into recovery mode. Then clear the cache, after restore factory settings. Reboot the phone and give it 10 to 20 min to boot.
