Yo I would be careful out in Mong Kok or Golden computer arcades areas, you will be hard pressed to find an SD out there unless someone has bought some from the states.
Exy is what you would find as Korea is not far off from Hong Kong.
TBF my EXY was bought from my local dealer in SAI Kung off the east coast.
My whole family buys of one authorised dealer in that town for the last ten years no issues and no problems he even offers to buy back old tech at a fair price.
I can't guarantee you the prices I get, as he he is a family friend, but I can offer you his address and you can try and see what he has?
But like I said becarefull of the copy market.
I live in the UK and everytime I have any issues I take a picture of the reciept send it to Samsung UK as he is an authorised seller so the UK Samsung have dealt with my issues quickly without any hasstles so the international guarantee is good!

buy it at the airport. HKIA has a phone shop near the cafe / lounges.
the exynos version is far superior than the snapdragon.

Nah bro! Thx for the advice on mongkok and golden computer square! Was planning to go to mongkok to buy one but after seeing your advice and seeing that the fake one is the one that has n910f tag, i will be much more carefull when going there..
Btw thank you for the offer on the authorised dealer, but if i'm planning to buy the exy version i will be buying through expansys or other authorised shop. Thx!

Is there any price different between the shop at airport and other shop like fortress or expansys due to tax or duty free?
Was planning to buy the snapdragon one because more developer supports (it has cm12 already!). But might change my minds.. Thx for the reply.

Hello the airport is a safe option it would expect to pay a little more money.
The model of the phone would be SM-N910U same as the exynos 8 core unit SM-N910C.
I've not tried the snapdragon except in a shop and both are good but even everything I expect read maintains the exynos version is better considering its the primary handset used in Korea. I would expect people to pay about 7000k in HKD dollars or roughly U$900. Might be cheaper but don't know never bought one at an airport. But I got mine last year for 6500k so it should have dropped in price. Also look at the edge as it might be out by now.

The one being sold in fortress is the galaxy note 4 duos, sm-n9100 which is fine. It's pretty much identical to the regular snapdragon note 4, but just be aware which model you are purchasing.

I know for a fact that the Hong Kong Version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 use the Exynos SOC rather than the Snapdragon. As the model number for the Hong Kong Version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is SM-N910H.
The best place to get one would be in Fortress or Broadway as both of these store sell the official retail Hong Kong Version.
My only question is would the Hong Kong Version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 be Region Free?

eBay sellers are so Fxxking greedy.......

Here is the whole story, I have been searching for the tab 7.7 a long time until i stop on these two list of the same tab 7.7, one sold by seller in singapore and the other one is sold by seller in Hong Kong, and both were selling it for $658.00 + free one day shipping. So this Saturday(03/03/12) i checked on the two listing again and found out the seller from singapore change the price to $758.00 , and the seller from Hong Kong stays the same, so with out hesitation, I made the purchase with the Hong Kong Seller, and right now(03/05/12, 3:00AM PST) I received msg from hong kong seller, telling me that they ran out of the 3G model and ask me if i want the WIFI only instead and refund me the differences, and just as i was typing my answer to them whichs : (no i want the 3G version), I check ebay again by the same Hong Kong seller, but the price increased to $758.00 , and here is the interesting part....... it's still available and there are more than 5 in stock...... so I sum up the whole thing, hong kong seller saw the price change on singapore seller, so he lied to me and told me it was out of stock, and now want me to pay more....... anyone can give me any suggestion?
Get full refund and they shouldn't be able to change the price like that. Avoid buying from there if it's that problematic and scam-like. Check out popular computer/technology forums, usually have a market place, XDA has one too. I buy computer parts from some forums and I see phones, tablets, pc/console games, tv's and a lot other accessories. Make sure they use heatware or other transaction feedback site. They offer the ability to see past sales/purchases also user feedback along with positive and negative feedback counter.

I just did a quick search for "P6800" through the Google Shopping search and found it listed at Integron Technologies as in stock for $594.99 plus shipping. Since they are in Florida, like me, I would have to pay tax as well but otherwise it seems like a good deal.

Oh, and I just did a seach on ebay and found this for $649.00 plus free shipping with the item location listed as in California.
Thx for all the replies, They just got back to me saying: "Don't be confused, we raise the price cause we ran out of stock so ppl won't buy it at that high price, and the item you look at is already ended." I told them to put me on the wait list whichs gonna be another week man I HATE waiting!!!!!! but for sure I'm going to get it!!!! and thank you all for the replies. cheers to all of us that r using the tab 7.7 !!! YAY!!!
Its too bad =[

I dont know but I am getting mine in the states just before I head to China, because it looks to me like its mostly North America and Europe that our getting it.
Depending on how many units google manages to ship in the first few weeks and when they start shipping. If the supply keeps up, you can expect to see Nexus 7 in every electronics bazar. The Chinese are just as excited about it as we are. Ask your local guy to bring you there. If the supply is tight for any reason, you'll still be able to get it from Taobao, their version of Ebay.
You should bump this thread before you leave for China, the situation would be a little more clearer by then.
It took the New Ipad about 2 months to flood the Mainland market. But they sell it officially in Hong Kong so that's an important factor.
Sounds like you have been there some, do you know if you can still access cloud servers in mainland, possible vpns?
Questions go in the Q&A section
Happy to tell you
I am living in Shanghai, I will be happy to tell you when it will be in the electronic markets. I asked my guy yesterday, told me he hopes it will be here end of July, mid August but he was not sure.

I live in hong kong, would be happy to see if it arrives at the end of july too.
I hope its localized version, and not just ones they bring back from the states (water product) which will be more expensive

I don't know. I have never had an android device. But this tablet is also big in China and there will be more information on everything once people get their hands on them. My ipad and iphone can surf the net no problem with a VPN that costs 3 dollar a month when I'm in China. I don't forsee any problem in that department.

The words on Chinese android forums are, Jelly Bean already supports Chinese, simplified and traditional, natively. Obviously the bundled apps et cetera would be US centric, instead of localised with QQ, Taobao and what have you, but the system can be set to Chinese without problem.

Who cares about the Chicoms, what about Taiwan?
Not much to "up" about, I'm afraid. No official news yet. As for imported models, as someone already pointed out, you can stay sure you'll find plenty 2-3 weeks after US release in the various electronic bazaars.

Bumping only makes sense once the shipping starts. China is not going to get it before the listed countries do.

I am pretty sure you can get one from a C2C website "taobao". But you need to pay extra money since it is just released.
Anyone that understands the Hong Kong/China market/culture will tell you to never buy the early "water" (HK slang term for imports) batches that arrives, because the almost certainty that they will jack up the price to at least double the asking price compared to buying it elsewhere (such as the US). The Chinese people are notorious for cashing in on early adopters.
The price will also stay high until it is released officially in Hong Kong and/or China, when from that point all "water" (import) versions will see a price crash, dropping to cost cheaper than the Hong Kong/China official price. When it reaches this stage, the main argument is that imports don't have a warranty, whereas home released versions do.
TL;DR version, if you can get from the US or other google listed country via friends or whatever, do it and avoid being ripped off for being an early adopter. Unless you want to pay about $4000 HKD ($200 USD) for it when it's only worth about $2000 HKD ($200 USD).
there's a white Nexus 7 IO version on sale now.. for $5000 HK
which is probably smth like $500 lol
Thank god I live in the UK. Don't pay through the nose buying an overpriced N7, which kind of defeats the purpose of its cheap pricing in the first place.

[Q] UK Note 4 Owners!

Where should I buy my Note 4 from? I want a SIM free one in black but unsure as to whether to get Snapdragon or Exynos model or where to buy from for best price.
Any suggestions?
Recently bought an international from Amazon that is Swiss code. (AUT) 910F
First step is be sure the frequencies match your preferred carrier(s). I wanted to get the Exynos version but it didn't match with my carrier very well. (AT&T)

I got mine from Carphone Warehouse. I like Carphone Warehouse because I knew it was going to be a new and genuine Note 4 and it was unlocked too so I can use it on any network. They have really great prices for pay monthly deals and I trust them the most. Carphone Warehouse only stock the 910f (snapdragon version) though. I recommend Amazon too but Amazon UK also only stock the 910f if you're buying directly from Amazon.
I'm not sure where I can buy the N910C from that is legit?

Availability in Hong Kong

Dear All,
There seems to be no news on the availability of the 6P for Hong Kong. Anyone have any news on the availability for HK.
Thanks.

Unfortunately i don't think anyone knows anything about Hong Kong availability, i have friends that work at Google in Hong Kong and they don't know
furble,
Considering Nexus 5 release in Hong Kong was one of the earlier cities to get them back them, one would think Hong Kong would be one of earlier cities to get stock since Huawei has a decent presence in HK.
Yeah that's what I was thinking, but you see all these release dates and preorders in other countries and no news for Hong Kong.
Like i said, i asked my friend that works at Google Hong Kong and they told me they asked around and noone knows anything....
Hoping it comes out soon, my current phone is 3yrs old and this is most likely my next phone
dying to know this myself as i'm based in HK too. Huawei has a really big retail market here in HK so I think there will be a set release date with no need to preorder from google. Retail shopping is so big here.
I guess it most likely will be available this year. ?HK is not a big market and it probably won't make a dent in their small inventory.

Ye, it won't make a dent in their market with Nexus phones but there is a lot of authorised Huawei retail stores in HK which will stock them locally. Judging by that, there should be stock on release date.
Nexus phones aren't big here in HK but since its Huawei, and their presence in HK, it should do pretty well.
I remember Nexus 5 wasn't even for sale on any big retail stores. It should change this year.

That was what I thought when the N5 came out. I thought the retails shops didn't have them but they did stock them. I just asked and did have them in stock. Huawei HK website doesn't even mention the 6P so don't know what they are doing now. Like it was with the N5, the retail stores sold them at a premium compared to the Google Store. This will most likely happen this time around with the 6P. Google, make them available in November 2015!!!!!
Hey guys, so I was getting impatient too. I recommend you check out price.com.hk for list of shops that take reservations. I pre-ordered with CW Professional shop in CWB; they provide official warranty and I can pickup the 6P between Nov 3-6. I can't wait!

Madeo,
Nice heads up on the find but watch out where they get their stock. Is this the 6P China version? HK version? North American version? I'm thinking their getting the China version which I don't know if there is a difference on the software side.
They said "100% 原裝正行, 中港聯保"
The official Google page have a sign up for news, but that's it.
I'm also waiting for official release in HK.
The Nexus 5 was available to buy in HK, it's just that most shops would rather sell you Samsung/Apple products instead. In the end I bought my wife a Nexus 5 directly from Google about a week after release.
We have to wait for Madeo to receive his handset from CW and see if it is legit or just wait it out. I have a hunch it will be available in November 2015 from Google Store.
How much is it and which model did you preorder?
Don't buy from retail store...

The prices are always higher then Google Store. I remember they priced it at $3800 for 16GB and $4300 for 32GB for N5. Further, they are usually opened and demoed before purchase by the consumer. At least we know handsets from Google Store are sealed box.

Looking back at my purchase history, I bought a white 16GB for HK$3,198 on Nov 20 2014, it arrived about about 3-4 working days later.
Google price will always be around the same as Fortress/Broadway shops, but you don't get any extras (screen protector usually).
Luckily there wasn't any defects on the phone but I think it would have been very easy for Google to pickup and send a replacement anyway.
I bought the Aluminium 32GB for 4688$HK ; that's the expected official price from the playstore hk. I'll let you guys know as soon as I pickup my device. Google will probably release the 6P in HK late November or early Dec but I can't wait; my current phone is dying on me.

Madeo,
Yes, who knows when they will start selling in HK (Google Store). Since, CW sells it at the Google price then it is all the better for the consumer. My Desire 820 alarm is all whacked. It comes on only a few time during the work week which is killing me.
Sin Dat and other local places
Dear All,
Anyone check out Sin Dat for the price and availability. Also, any cases or tempered glass screen protectors available in HK yet.

Has anyone used eGlobalCentral UK?

Just wondering if anyone has used eGlobalCentral UK to order the Galaxy S7 edge (G935F) non-dual sim version?
Did it come with a UK charger? Their price is fantastic but I don't want to buy it if it comes with a european charger
Please see the below post for consumer information about this web shop, tldr; they are a bunch of scamsters, they will take your money and not deliver a product!
