anyway,
i recently broke my screen as well, went to o2(im from uk btw) and the person there told me it would roughly cost me 100 pounds (about 200usd) to get it fixed.
i have the universal for about 1 1/2 to 2 years now and im not sure if its worth getting it fixed. the batt is also rather dead as well.
i would like some input on this. would it be not cost effective to get it repaired or just sell it off with the broken screen?(if so roughly how much ill get for it?)

If you're in the UK I'd say take the phone to the Carphone warehouse it'll cost you 45 quid and take around 2 weeks but it's definitely worth every penny!

went to CPW justnow and they no longer do repairs on it.
called up o2 and they told me the charges would run about 160quid to 200 which is totally stupid.
guess my option now is to ebay it.
you can order the lcd on ebay for 100€. dont know what this is in pounds.
exchanging the lcd yourself is quite easy. there is a manual in the forums telling you how to do it. otherwise you could just sell your universal on ebay. i think max prize you can achieve is 120€.

After searching for 2 weeks now, everything i can tell you is that the only case u can get for this amount of money is the ionic guardian at ebay.co.uk or anazin.co.uk . every other case will get much more expensive cause of the intense shipping costs.

Ye, there is a problem with every better case. It is not available in Europe for decent price i.e. two diztronic cases with shipping to Poland costs 50$... I will continue searching untill Monday. If i find sth good i will message You

It seems that the new s4 has a very sensitive lcd screen i smashed mine on the inside without even noticing it by just sligtly bumping on a wall while having the mobilephone in my side pocket.. :crying:
What i wanted to ask..I actually own the GT-I9505 model and i was wondering because i found the screen&digitizer assembly for GT-I9500 much cheaper than the other one if there is actually any problem with using that assembly instead of the other one that fits my model.
The seller assured me that there wont be a problem but i have to make sure so that i dont spend 200 euros for nothing...

I suggest get from the Samsung service centre only as they will fix it properly and u won't have any issue I have suffered with my Google nexus once going for little less cost lcd

You can't cheap out and get an LCD display as they don't exist for the S4.
A typical Amoled + Touchscreen replacement would cost somewhere between $200 - $250 dollars (USD) from a reputable mobile phone repair shop.

Hello guys, I am in desperate need for replacement screen for korean s4 SHV-E330S. I already contacted korean Samsung for help regarding acquiring original display and whether it is compatible with GT-I9506 but after seeing a picture of GT-I9506 display I dont think they are compatible at all. Does anyone know where can I obtain a replacement screen strictly for SHV-E330S?
Here are few pics of its insides if it gives you any help.
If anyone is interested here is a verified item from ebay. Costs 119$ and it is original shv e330s screen.
