Are you here all crazy ? I tried to search everything and NONE link was working, and the methods were un-clear most of the threads were dead links, and also some of them were "wrong" so i made the best choice to open a new thread.
Any problem with that ? Do you now what "forum" word means ?Thank you for your time but don't answer if you think something rather than that.

Hi mate
Lots of people here including me offered you our help but you did not take the time to read , search or look out for the solution you need, the idea in all these “posts or forums” is to get feedback from other users, keeping the thread alive is the OP responsibility, keep it alive with valuable inputs, precise questions and not opening multiple threads filling the forum with lots of useless threads, that offer no information to other members who responsibly use the search function.
The threads i offered you are guides and sticky threads

Okay let's start again from the beggining.
I said on the early start of my thread which things or threads ARE NOT WORKING.
Let's move on,
nunein suggested to a towel root, which i said earlier had a dead link,so I COULDN'T done it.So not working for me.
Let's move on,
Next is Strephon Alkhalikoi which answered that i am blind and i didn't see the link which was there .That wasn't working before.
Let's move on,
Once again.
Then it's Kushan02 , that i giving me a thread with a 404 thread error. Which on the start was working but afterwards was moved.
Then in conclusion , there WAS a lot of answers for me to help me out, which i had ALREADY SEARCHED,and weren't working, so in conclusion i had to find another way out to root my phone.
That's why i tried to open this thread and ask for more opinions and ways, now that i have reported all the threads with the dead links or PM'ed the thread starter for broken links, everything are working good and well, and i have finally rooted my phone via the "re-uploaded" way of TowelRoot & Odin.
Thank you and a happy new year to all with less judgement. :fingers-crossed:

I have Froyo on a non rooted nexus is here a way to unlock and root it it I have been trying but it will not recognize the bootloader. please help .
Thank You
You can unlock it using fastboot, just like you could in 2.1, as far as I know.
From there, flash a different recovery, then use something like this quick rooter:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=686627
First of all, wrong forum.
Second of all, you're smart enough to figure out how to put an official firmware that's not released yet on your phone. So please use the search or read the forum stickies.

First of all I did not asked to be flamed just needing help If I made a mistake I am sorry but I thought this was a friendly helpful community or are you the bad apple ?
If you read the forum more, you'll find threads similar to this one, if you don't search no one will help you, especially for this very easy question you're asking.
1. Click on the Nexus One Q&A sub forum, that forum is for asking questions and getting answers.
2. There's a sticky, 3rd one down, it's titled "***Informative Links*** - Read before clicking "New Thread"". Click that, you should get to here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=618768
3. Right there on top, 2nd link is "Root the Nexus one Tutorial" with the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=612858 Click it.
4. Follow to the directions. If you have issues, ask in that thread.
Helpful enough? LOL

Please Read: New members (those with fewer than 10 posts) are not permitted to post to development-related forums. The developer forums are intended for experienced users and developers to discuss ways to improve technical aspects related to ROMs and Software. While you may be an expert, we ask ALL users to avoid posting questions about using or installing ROMs and software in the Development Forums. Well, I finding a bit difficult to understand your thread...I don’t see point of unlocking the Dev area unless you are in the field. As far as I am concern the dev area will not give me much, especially with the silly questions I am still to ask.
"...to test qualifications..." what is the point? Many like me turn to XDA to find an answer to a problem and likely will to have the knowledge to stand an examination.
To finalize, my idea with the thread was to provide some information, there are plenty of people going under with their phones due to stupid mistakes.
People stuffing the forum with “spam” threads should check themselves, do a full wipe and then reboot…if you know what I mean.
one additional suggestion: "[GUIDE] How to Flash ICS and Survive"

This is what really happened:
I registered [because i wanted to thank a post]. I logged in (after email confirmation) and searched for the thank button, but couldn't find it. So i went to google picture search, typed in "xda thank button" (there is always at least one person making a screenshot and a arrow on it) and found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1590190
and on page 2:
It works now - seems that one at least needs one post before "Thanks" is unlocked.
So...nothing for quiet readers like me

Why should I have made a new topic about it?
I usually search first at google, than xda (because of localisation) and when I still haven't found an answer there have already 3 hours passed and I might really have a problem/question noone else ever had before.
Forums are no chat. Every Question and their answers will be saved. Asking a question again and waiting for answers takes usually much longer than just google it.

I have searched the forums and cant seem to find a faster link to the MDL Odin software for the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 . I found one link but its taking an estimated 5 hours to complete . Does anyone have the actual MDL Odin zip for the S4 they can send that might be faster . Thanks in advanced for any help . Or would checking for a software update from MDB update me to MDL ?

There should be a link or two in the Odin Firmware thread created by Adam Outler, located in the Development or original development sections.

The problem is that its a huge file...and most download servers seem to cap download speeds pretty low now a days :/ even if you have fast internet. I miss the days when an odin file/stock rom was only 200-300mbs...I used to have TONS of roms sitting on my phone

For future reference, you might want to actually start reading threads in their entirety and not just skimming over the OP. Especially when you are looking for help with issues. Often, people will post the information you need within the thread and not just in the OP.
Using the "search" function within individual threads works well also.

That's all good, but I told you "exactly" which thread to look in to find the file you needed. Basically, you responded back to me that the file was not there or was named wrong (though not in those exact words). In fact, the links to the file were there and were named and identified correctly. It's your choice to only take the time to look in the OP of a thread when help is offered, but others might want that file as well, and saying it isn't there when it was needed to be corrected. That is one reason I responded back to you.
I don't ask for help often either. I use the search function and look through threads for answers all of the time as well. However, when I do ask for help and someone responds, I always make sure to take extra time to research the help and advice they give me before responding that they are wrong. That was another reason for the response to your response.
Anyway, hopefully you got what you needed.

Help needed. Can't update to 2.2.1 because phone is rooted

I rooted the phone and now can't update to the latest version Oxygen 2.2.1 automatically
Is there any way around the problem?
If you have rooted your phone, you probably also have replaced the original recovery with twrp. In that case, just download the 2.2.1 ota zip from the ota thread in this forum and flash it manually in twrp.

Yes there is a way around: search. Because this question has been answered BILLION AND BILLION times. Even if you are a new to XDA, you should know there is rules. You should know there is a search bar located in top right of your screen. There is a index on this forum which gives you link to @Spannaa's thread where he groups all OTA and Stock ROMs + a tutorial to update when you're root. I gave you all information needed.

There is no need to be rude, I actually searched several pages before posting my question, as I was pretty sure the question had most likely been asked before. Certainly don't think it's been asked BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of times.
But thanks for your help, I will be sure to do a more THOROUGH search next time I think about posting

I agree to him, you do not need to be rude, this community is about helping others so it is not a big deal if you typed the solution. If you look at it , it would have taken less less words than the long comments which you posted.
HOW THE HECK COULD YOU NOT FIND IT. You obviously didn't didn't search very hard my son
I concur,no way he searched.. it's always 1 of the 5 under OnePlus 2 general.
The fact that OP had his phone rooted indicates he probably has some basic knowledge of unlocking bootloader, flashing recoveries/ROMs..etc and therefore should be resourceful look up the solution himself be it on XDA or not. The point is with an easy, and somewhat obvious solution to such a common problem (tbh I too had this exact same issue when I first got the phone, but I knew then I had to do a manual flash) surely people will get frustrated when asked.

I agree we are here to help, but come on, a question that has been answered so many times, in many threads, doesn't deserves one more topic. It reminds me the fingerprints problem on CM13 when it didn't work yet: it was about 2 or 3 question about it per page: "is fingerprint working???", "does fingerprint working". Come on, there is search function, so why don't use it ? Imagine if we create a thread every time we have a problem with our device but this problem has already been solved. Imagine state of the forum after all those threads. And yeah, as said above, if this man as his phone rooted, well, I think he has some basics knowledge about OnePlus Two.

I debated not answering this post for two reasons:
(1) I count at least 3 separate identical posts from you in multiple forums and threads. Stop it. That's called spamming or cross-posting. It's unacceptable behavior.
(2) Just about 8 or 10 posts down from this one there is a thread that covers this exact issue, check out what it's title is:
Needing help with Safestrap Recovery, Will not boot to recovery
What you need help with apparently, is searching
Safestrap 3.75 was built for KK (KitKat) ROMs - Android 4.4.x
By your own words, you have Jasmine 5.0 installed, which is based off of OB6 - Lollipop 5.0
SImply put, Safestrap has never worked on Lollipop ROMs and never will. The developer moved on.
.
First off, I was not trying to spam or cross-post or conduct myself with unacceptable behavior. Secondly, I appreciate all the help and advice that I receive . What I don't appreciate is unwarranted criticism. I was only trying to find an answer to my problem, and if I can help someone else , I will do so. Again I appreciate all the help and advice that I receive. I hope that I was NOT spamming or cross-posting or conducting unacceptable behavior. I apologize to all if I was offensive.

The forum rules are right up there at the top of the list of threads. Here's some excerpts from those rules, which are pretty much the same in almost every forum:
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting or creating a new thread. Whether you have a question or just something new to share, it's very likely that someone has already asked that question or shared that news.
5. Create a thread or post a message only once.
As a large forum, we don't need unnecessary clutter. You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer, revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time so it might take a while before you receive an answer.

Imagine what a horrible mess this place would be if everyone posted identical copies of their messages 3 or 4 times in separate places. Most messages would be orphans with no responses, and interesting topics with many responders would be split into 4 unrelated conversations with many people repeating the same information with different chronologies, and largely being unaware of contributions of others. That is why it is frowned upon.

And yet you did. See forum rule #5
OK, you are welcome. I answered your question, did I not?
Asking you to follow the rules requested by the moderators and followed largely by everyone is not unwarranted criticism. It's asking you to follow the rules.
Posting the identical message multiple times doesn't help anyone. It merely makes the life of other people worse when they actually follow the rules and try searching for something.
You're welcome.
Spamming or Cross-posting have an extremely simple definition: posting exact duplicates of the same message in multiple forums and multiple threads. Hope has nothing to do with it.
I can't speak for all; but for me - apology accepted. Go and cross-post no more.
The forum rules are right up there at the top of the list of threads. Here's some excerpts from those rules, which are pretty much the same in almost every forum:

Being whiny won't make others jump to pitch in and help you any further with your problem. Nobody is asking you to be perfect, but to read and do a little research and not cross post. The answers to your questions are covered here very thoroughly.
