No point, this is an incremental update and requires the base 5.0.0 ROM to work
Kudos again to the 'some people' for being selfish towards their own people and not sharing/capturing the 10mb soak test update!
Disclaimer: they dont have any obligation to do so
Indian variant is now getting direct upgrade to 5.0.1 anyone getting the upgrade first capture the OTA file before flashing

+1 for not sharing ota but no one shared for Indian users too, till date not a single person proved that they got LP soak in India, n neither any of them shared the ota links...this is the reason have converted to Braz framework n now I got 5.01 ota too..
Edit: I can say Braz framework is way much better then Asian n m having no issues n no mood to revert to Asian.

Direct upgrades r still far cuz m having 2 Moto G 2013 {one rooted n on Braz framework LP 5.01 n another one is untouched + XT1068 UNTOUCHED} nothing official intimation till now, but sooner we all will get it for sure ...cheers

he can make a twrp backup of 5.0.1 soak test so that anyone can flash this. But I knw this is india no one is going to do this. That's why i flashed the Brazil 5.0 twrp backup. it's simple to do & i cn revert back to kitkat anytime.

Change file name to Blur_Version.210.12.40.falcon_umtsds.AsiaRetail.en.03.zip than Move to sdcard. Do not put in a file. Go to System Update. It will detect the Update and install it in 10 minutes. You can see in the Pictures. Before and after About Phone.

it does not revert back, where did you hear such a thing? you cant uninstall the update unless you reflash the stock firmware.

I just got a message from MFN saying that I can get into the soak tests. Attached a pic as proof. If you need the OTA zip captured, sign up for the Motorola Feedback Network at their forums. I don't have access to my phone right now. That's to it.
For the benifit of the community, I request anyone who's got their XT1022 at the moment to capture the OTA zip. Ask questions here, don't worry of Motorola. They can't do much.
Noobs: A soak test is an initial update given to users to test whether it works. It won't harm your phone. (Yes, I know what you're thinking. You'll get the lollipop update. Yay!)
After you sign up on the forums, sign up for MFN. Instructions are given there. Then use this link. You'll get an updated version of the Update services. Ota package is available on xda for both moto g which doesn't requires root.
any one got soak test update. I know it is not lollipop soak test. after completion of 24 hours of soak test invitation didn't get highlight reel update. very disappointing Motorola.

Per the instructions you are supposed to keep MFN communications confidential. Furthermore, it is not an Android update/upgrade Feedback Opportunity. Start time for Motorola Feedback Network opportunities are always fluid. Rarely after we send out invites do selected users get an email that an opportunity is starting. The sharing of mis-information really hurts the masses.

Don't worry bro.. Android 5.1 is around the corner, February release imminent...
Maybe they are waiting for 5.1 to hit to roll the latest into the OTA... Lollipop is still very buggy ATM, memory management bug is a headache...

if thats the case we will get update in march like other oems..especially zenfone.because motorola will make builds for 2nd gen moto gs xs and then 1st gen,,then we will come,,,same case as in android 5.0 and then google will announce android 5.1.1 5.1.2 and then we will be waiting more...then a new release..and then more waiting for 5.2 or 6..and this way it will be 2016 and motorola will announce to stop the support for moto e 2014 model..and we will be in kitkat..

Can you confirm that this OTA fixes the left-right audio channel swap present in headphones in soak OTA XT1068 (i.e. left audio channel is right and vice versa)?

Seems that the LTE version will be updated first, XT1068/64/63 will follow. And India comes first, europe is often one of the last regions. As far as I know they use the IMEI as a category.

Same with lollipop, the soak was the final. So I´ll do the same and wait until a really nice custom rom appears that fits my needs.
