So I am buying a s3 neo 19300I and I want cm 11 on it cuz touchwiz is kind off not my style. Is it safe to install a custom rom? What if I brick it ? What about this "KNOX"? They can probably easly trace that I installed custom firmware. But can I really brick it to where I have to take it to the store? Or I can fix that ? I live in Europe so its a normal version of the s3 neo not some duos ,lte or whatever.

Hi every body. I have bought a galaxy s4 I9506 with JB 4.3. So i see on différent thread that's difficult to root them and i don't find any custom rom for this. . I run actualy on french operator rom (orange) and i want to root my phone and install a new 4.3 or 4.4.2 rom ( official or custom). But for S4 9506 there isn't official 4.3 rom (i found juste Orange rom on Sammobile site). But i read that the S4 9506 was similar the Note3. So my question: does someone known if it's possible to put an officiel ( i prefere) or custom rom from Note3 on my S4 and the developpement to make that. For any answer thank's a lot.
Similar doesn't mean same, if you want a 400 euros of paper weighter then just do it...
But official 4.4.2 should come out in few weeks, and someone is working on CM11.
I actually had 9506 once and exchanged for 9505 just because of exact situation you face now

You can't do it. You have to install rom developed to your model.
Rom to S5 is developed to S5. But you can have ROM PORTED (but untill now i haven't found it) to your model or APPS PORTED.
But never you can install S5 rom on S4 or S4 Rom on S5.
It has different Kernel, different processor, different everything. but works commonly.
The previous poster is correct in that you can't install a stock S5 ROM on the S4. However, in the development sub-forum are a few ROMs that port over the S5 enhancements to the S4. For a good example, take a look at Imperium ROM.
The ROM is basically meant for Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505. I tried looking up custom ROMS for I9506 but unfortunately I was out of luck. So could someone tell me if it possible to install the ROM meant for I9505 in I9506 without damaging/bricking the device?
As per my knowledge there's barely any different between the two devices (i.e. 19505 & I9506).

when I first got my Samsung GALAXY S3 Neo GT-I9301I it has the 4.4.4 stock rom
then I tried CM 12.1 on it, it didn't work well but when I wanted to go back to the Stock I didn't find the 4.4.4 for my model only the 4.4.2
instead I found that the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT-I9300I has the 4.4.4 update
now I'm just wondering if I can tri it on mine , is it ok ?
Nope just install your 4.4.2 and update with ota update in settings
