[Q] Is There a talking caller id that works through bluetooth? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

I've tried several in the app store, including two that i purchased. None seem capable of speaking the caller id through the bluetooth headset. My phone rings through the BT. I have no problem listening to a phone conversation, or music, or netflix through the BT. Why is it that the sound from a caller id program cannot be played through the BT?

Nokia Hs-12w Orange SPV M600

I have the SPV M600 and I use the Nokia HS-12W. A2DP works fine and the appropriate wireless stereo and headset profiles are loaded. The problem is when listening to music and a call comes in, the music stops playing and I can accept the call, I can hear the caller but they cant hear me, I've checked to ensure the mute function isnt active on either the phone and the nokia headset but no matter what I do, the caller cant hear me. This happens about 4 out of every 5 calls, its gotten so bad I no longer use the headset for answering calls, just for listening to music. Has anyone seen this before or know why the mic doesnt seem to be transfering audio when I receive a call. Also this sometims happens even when I'm not listening to music and a call is recieved. Do I have a hardware fault wuth the phone or the headset? As i said, it doesnt happen everytime, about 80% of the time.

BlueTooth communication port

jawbone and windows mobile
when you hear via your bluetooth, what is opening for the sound to be transfer over to your phone? i ask because is it possible to always have that communication port stay open?
why? i tried everything that I can possibly to get caller ID from my jawbone to windows mobile. Is it because it's not stereo? I have search and install in countless app...even A_C, baudio, audiotransfer...whatever the case might be, i can never get the caller id to announce thru my jawbone. and yes, i set the settings to have it annouce via bluetooth and enable my voice command..etc..etc. any apps that was told to annouce caller id thru bluetooth on works with music audio. It would be nice to have the communication port alway staying open.

Announce callerid via bluetooth

Anyone familiar with an app/widget that will allow mt3g to announce the callerid/contact info for an incoming call via bluetooth?
not sure if it helps but I am using 32a with my car over bluetooth and i can see caller id on my car display. i do not use any extra software for that.
Sorry, I guess I should have been more clear. I want the caller id/contact info to be spoken over bluetooth, instead of being displayed. Like what SayMyName or TalkingCallerID do, except over bluetooth. Those apps say the callerid info but it comes out of the phone, not bluetooth.

ring through bluetooth (Voice Caller ID)

I love my new Sprint Hero, but I have one problem. 90% of the time I have my Plantronics 975 bluetooth in my ear.
Problem is the phone rings it does not pass through to bluetooth. I am a DirecTv installer and up and down ladders, in crawlspaces etc. There are apps in marketplace that change your ringer to read the Caller ID to you. However because this phone only makes my bluetooth beep and not ring with the ringer, I get the callers name read out loud through speaker, not bluetooth. That does not work when with a customer.
Any help???

bluetooth stereo headset with caller id

i need a bt headset that can show or tell me who is calling me.I ride a bike and i need to know who is calling me and to accept or deny the call handsfree.I now have a Jabra bt3030 and the Enhanced sms&call id.I can hear caller id reading sms/mail/notifications BUT not the caller's id.The jabra cant play phone's ringtone, only makes a beep when incoming call.
Anyone knows a bt headset that can do that and work for sure with x5 ideos?
You got me confused, are you looking for one to play audio or one with a screen to look at?
For something to play audio you need an A2DP one or stereo bluetooth - these have 2ch and also play the ringtones instead of just beeping. But at least in my case, in U8800 stock or custom, stereo bluetooth suffers from low range (actually VERY low, sometimes needs to be next to the phone to work, others 30-50cm away). I haven't tested it in official 2.3 perhaps the BT drivers there are better if it's a software bug - which I think it is cause sometimes it works 5m away for hours and then back to less than half meter for days.
For bt displaying caller ID on a screen, I tried one from Erricson and it only displays the calling number not the name, perhaps there's an app in the market that fixes that.
