the photos arnt great (taken from gf iphone) but i took my phone out of its cover and quite a bit mark ... looked like a water mark was in screen i thought i cracked it some how even tho im super careful with phone, within 10 mins it had began to shrink and thats when i took some pictures.. its completly gone now but what was it? i had the phone 10 days!

nope i was using it on way home from work , it put it in its cover when i travelled from car house (kept in hand) then on the sofa for about 5 mins while i got changed then went to plug it in as battery was on 7% and noticed it

[Q] Nexus froze during long call - would not boot again

Loving the Nexus 4 (stock JOP40D + root) although I'm having some issues with the phone sometimes rebooting randomly (1-2 times a day)
and today it turned itself off during a long call (after about 45 mins) and would not boot again.
I pressed all combinations of buttons, plugged into the charger and it would not turn on.
Left it aside for a few mins, pressed power+vol and it booted normally as if nothing happened.
I then went to check the battery settings, and noticed a strange gap (screenshot) like the ones I was getting on my S2 after this kind of reboot.
Any ideas of what could have caused this?

Thanks. Could that really be the case though? It didn't feel hot in my hand

I'd RMA it. I'm getting an RMA device for a "faulty battery". Many Nexi have shipped with dud batteries. Not sure if that's your particular issue, but call Google.

[Q] [SCREEN PERMANENT DAMAGE AFTER 5 REBOOTS][Looking for a fix)

Hi XDA, i´m new in the forum, and i just want something of help, i have my G2 D800 for 6 months, always Stock, until i got bored and installed VANIR AOSP Rom, i was watchin' some videos and the Galery app started to Fail, the only solution was reboot, failed and failed again so i reboot 5 times, then the cellphone frezzed with a screen like the TWRP recovery back but without the letters (im givin just an example) then rebooted with some lines on the right side of the screen and never dissapeared ( i left the phone 30 min OFF thinking that was a warming problem), now the problem is that i live in Bolivia, so i'm not Able to get a Warranty Repair, the only thing i can do is identify the problem (with yours help) buy the parts on Ebay/Amazon and repair with a unautorized repair guy here......

I really don't know what could be causing it but maybe when you held your power button down you damaged the cable/connector for the display??
Or you somehow messed up your OS with the reboots.

[Q] LG G2 - cannot make/received call after a short fall in the water. any advice?

hi everyone,
after almost 18 month of enjoyment it appends : i fall with my phone in the water!
i dried it the best as i can. I even opened it (see picture 1). Unfortunately now it's just half working because it cannot make or receive any call.
Looking carefully to the inside of the phone, i notice a part of the chip is altered (see the Red circle in picture 2)
=> Do you think is the right reason for this problem ?
=> Do you know if it can be fixed and how ?
I also notice that
- the batteries are drain in 7 hours (15 before)
- the phone is hot (temperature)
- the phone reboot by itself
I think those 3 symptoms are a consequence of the cellular services running for nothing (see picture 3)
=> Do you think I'm Right ?
=> Do you know how to dis-activate the cellular services ?

Something has obviously been fried. Probably need motherboard replacement that wont be more cheaper than getting a new second hand G2

WiFi and Bluetooth not working

My phone is a Cubot One running MIUI 4.8.29 custom ROM v6. One day, my WiFi spontaneously ceased to work. I thought it was a temporary glitch, so I rebooted. It worked again. Then, it spontaneously ceased to work AGAIN. since then, it had just been off and when I try to turn it on, it just greys out for a few seconds and switches off again. The same thing happens to my Bluetooth. However, twice, randomly, about 4 months ago and 6 months ago, it notifies me of possible WiFi networks. It stays like this for a couple of hours, then returns to the aforementioned state. I have tried a full reset several times with the stock ROM and others to no avail. I've been using mobile data since then. I don't know how this has happened and I am wondering if the altered build properties of the custom ROM have anything to do with it. The WiFi-pertinent ones are attached. Please help - not having Bluetooth or WiFi prevents me from selling the phone. Thanks all!
