i knew they gonna do that....there is no way they would hit sales with $500 price tag and considering it was on sale for $350. soon its just gonna be $350 without any discount.
the whole Cyber Monday bull was for a show.

You have to register first and then they send you the code.

That's because you need to go here (https://mdsupport.custhelp.com/ci/documents/detail/2/todayshow) and input the todayshow50 so Motorola will email you a code you can use on MotoMaker

I can say that I got the MotoMaker version, and with the root unlock some developers here have posted, I'm not really regretting not getting the DevEd. Having my color of choice is very nice, and with root I can remove all the bloat, thus removing the desire for custom ROM's.

I second the "you probably want to keep the Dev Edition", despite the devil on my shoulder that wants to convince people to sell me their dev edition at the $400 price.
I don't think codes can be used by anyone except the name and phone number that was used to register for it. I got 2 codes from the previous sale and still haven't been able to get an order through motorola successfully.

Expires on 12/24. I'm a G2 user, but I signed up to get some codes because my brother wanted a Moto X and missed out on both opportunities, so I was going to give atleast one to him, but then he ended up getting one himself.
I was going to get one and just try to turn around and sell it for atleast a $100 profit, but even on swappa, they really aren't going for retail even when unopened..plus I'm sort of lazy to have to go through with all of that crap.
I don't see it as being anywhere near as good as my G2, or even my S4, so I figured I'd give the two codes away to my XDA brethren!

We have another line that's a droid razr maxx. Debating on upgrading.
Is the 32gb version not available on verizon? I swear I saw it being available but a recent chat with a rep proves otherwise.
Also with my code if it's for 50% off why would the 2 year price be $29.99? Isn't half off 49.99 closer to $25? Still with the $30 upgrade fee $60 plus tax not a bad price.
The rep online wouldn't do an alternate upgrade so guess I'll have to get to a corporate store before the 24th when my code expires.
I'm almost considering just using verizon30 again on another droid maxx and doing the MOTOJB100 trade up.
