How to access my encrypted device (Glass/digitizer damaged) *solved* - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a problem my glass and digitizer is damaged, I was able to access the device thru the "lg on screen" program, everything was fine, so I got it sold on an auction site yesterday, so I thought I would do the final and usual procedure to first encrypt the device and wipe device, however after I did encrypt the device I am no longer able to access the device thru "lg on screen" program, I am not able to login on the device since the screen does not respond to input, and usb says there is no device detected so I can't use the computer to input the password.
I did advertise that LG on screen did work when I sold the device, also, I do not feel comfortable selling a device with a "crackable" password with more advanced users to access my private data...
Is there any way I can input with the device ? I just need to write the 4 digit code so the device can login then "lg on screen" app should work again... WHat should I do ? I just want to wipe the device clean..

X7500 and Ms Security Configuration Manager

Hi all!
I'm a proud buyer of the Advantage X7500 and I develop some apps for it.
However I have a problem: I need to provision the device with the "Security off" level of security. To do so, I download from the Microsoft site the "Security Configuration Manager". But when I start it, and I connect the HTC, it remains on Querying device configuration all the time, and I cannot provision my certificates/level of security. Does it mean that the device is locked? I dont think so, I buy it without brand directly from a HTC reseller.
Thanks for reply
Kisses,
Mari
Solved.
I update to WM6 and tried again: unlocking went fine.
Admin, you can lock this

Destroyed screen how to access files on phone's memory

I just had my elf's display damaged beyond repair it is just white with rubish black, no text or message is shown.
Is there any way i can get my files from the phones memory? No prob for the SD but for those on the device memory is that i am worried about.
I have removed the sim there is only a 5-digit device pin. Tried to type in blindly, no effect.
Any suggestions? can i unlock it by typing the device pin from a pc with activesync?
Thanx!
can you install apps via activesync?
or use one of those remote tools to control the mda through windows?
like this one: http://www.mymobiler.com/ ?
no, i have to unlock the device by typing the device pin on the device first...
this unlock code, do you have to enter it when you remove the sim or also then, when a sim is inserted? if it isn't needed with a sim inside, then why not try that, that way?
i could imagine there is a way to unlock the lock with the right code via terminal and an usb connection, but don't ask me, i have no idea about that atm. might be a far catch here...
Unlock device pin?
- Take out your sim card
- Download MyMobiler and use that to control.
Whats there with the pin?
You can click the phone using a screen.
Talking about the screen, is it a touchscreen problem, or your whole LCD is cracked?

[Guide] You CAN unlock your Streak 5 after "network locked" (10 failed pin tries)

[Guide] You CAN unlock your Streak 5 after "network locked" (10 failed pin tries)
Great news everyone. I can 100% CONFIRM this works as I just did it on my Streak 5. The streak 5 I have was "network locked" meaning someone tried to put the code in 10 times and perm locking it to AT&T. (Normally carriers cant do anything and yea, go ahead try to go though dell or send it in...)
Anyways I used http://www.unlockstreak.com/ It costs 29$ for a registration code to unlock, using their software. (Which is the software you find all over google)
Now here is the trick. Once you get your code, You would put the code in like this: REGCODE,unblock
its IMPORTANT the ,unblock part is all lowercase! Then run the unlock phone option. You will go into fastboot mode as instructed, it will run through. (If you get a Java error or server error, turn off your AV or Firewall. I had to "pause" kaspersky to do mine)
It should come back saying its unlocked. Now let the DS5 reboot, then run the unlocker again WITHOUT the ,unblock in the regcode. It should send the image and say "waiting for reboot" However.. your PC may gripe saying "unrecognized usb device" Dont fret, just cancel the thing, then pull the battery out, pop in your sim card, boot up. It should be unlocked now fully. =) I know my T-Mobile sim is working in mine now. So this is 100% confirmed working by me. =)
So leaves us the community a question.. it seems to "unblock" the attempts for a network unlock code is a fastboot flash image file.. doesnt touch the rom any or so that you do. Would be cool if a dev could look into that, seems this program all it does is send an image file that resets the code attempts, reads the code and also applies it for a user. So makes me wonder.. if you already know the code from dell or so, should be a way to fastboot send that info yourself without having to pay 29$
Anyways still worth 29$ to actually manage to unlock it after it was permanent blocked to the network.
If this helps you, please consider using the alt link here
http://curebit.com/x/5fTsB (Which will give YOU 3$ off and me 3$ back heh) Seems however they only do this offer for 1 day per order. So I ask if you DO order, post a reply with a new link to allow other members of XDA to enjoy the discount and help make it cheaper for everyone. =)

Is it work with code purchase fro another site or only with code purchased from unlockstreak?
Not sure, I mean it might work with another site and you can always try in the app since the app itself is free. However I think their app since it goes by registration code to utilize the program...

So, is it posiible to find another app, which are doing the same. Because, i have a code purchase from another site, but it did not work. Show the mesage that unlock done and Please purchase an unlock from our website. And phone still locked.
Then maybe just use the stuff from the site I posted. Least I did confirm 100% that a network locked DS5 did manage to unlock and undo the 10 tries thing. Might suck to buy another code, but least you would be happy it worked.

Lumia 950 Xl Dual Sim Locked in recovery mode

Dear All, I badly need help. Actually, my phone, regularly owned and connected to my Microsoft account, pretends it is in Recovery Mode Protection. It happened after I restored it.
The facts:
I did not remember to have activated this protection
When I try to check the IMEI of the phone in account.microsoft.com/devices/ it tells me the protection is not active
When I tried to follow the online suggestion of disconnecting the phone from the account, to obtain the unlock code on the webpage and to have it sent to my email, both these two things did not happen.
In summary, I have my phone locked (I suppose it is an error in phone software), removed from my account, and I cannot have the unlock code, nor ask Microsoft for it because, to them, my phone is not locked.
When I ask for support they bounce me among Accounts, Windows and Mobile support. Three weeks have passed, nothing happened of the case I opened with them.
Could you suggest me anything I could do, or get me to the right support to have my phone fixed?
I can provide the purchase proof of the phone.
Thank you in advance!
Kind regards

SIM card is locked after entering the PIN

Hey!
Weird problem.
I was flying from one country to another. After landing, I tried to connect to a local provider. Weirdly, I couldn't connect to any of them, but I tried really hard. So, I did a restart, and after this, there's an issue. My phone recognizes SIM-cards, but can't unlock them. Tried the SIMs on different phones, same s##t. Just my X Compact can't unlock them.
I turn it on, device asks for PIN, I enter it, it asks again, I enter it, doesn't ask anymore.
"SIM card is locked." stays written.
Airplane mode on/off, same thing happens.
*#*# codes are not working on this device.
Sometimes I can trick the device if I'm quick enough, and I can still search for providers, but can't connect to them.
I haven't found anything online, sorry.
Do you guys have any ideas?
If it would be a hardware problem, then it wouldn't ask for PIN all the time, or would it?
Thank you!
