Buying a used Galaxy S5 - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all, I'm in the market to buy a used/new samsung galaxy s5 that's unlocked. guy at sprint told me to make sure that the phone is not tied to a phone number.
How would I know if the phone is unlocked and also not tied to any NUMBER.
Thanks

From what I have READ, there's no such thing as unlocked cdma phone? Really?
So there is no way to use a verizon cdma phone with sprint?

Are they both 16GB? If so, do it.
Tmobiles s4 > Atts s4
Why? Tmobiles isn't bootloader locked and works perfectly fine on att. Just similar unlock (6$ or so on eBay).

Yep, you're better off with the T-Mobile one.

After buying an ATT S4 with a locked bootloader (MF3 - should have done more pre-purchase research), I just switched all four lines from my family plan to T-Mobile, after years with ATT contracts. TMobile is paying the ETF's, will cost about 1/2 the monthly ATT cost, and gave me a $165 trade in on my S4. And, now my phone has an unlocked bootloader (went for Nexus 5 at $400 instead of S4 at $640!)! ROM heaven, free at last ...

[Q] Model Number

Does anyone know the model number for the Verizon Note 3 ? I called Verizon and they do not know (and I searched this forum).
I know it sounds silly but I need the model number to order one where I work.
SM - N9005V

I believe it's SM-N9005 but you still need to make sure it's the Verizon variant cause I believe that model is used on other carriers but I could be wrong.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
I have confirmed with Verizon that the model number is SM-N900V

[Q] Unlocked Tmo Note 3 on Verizon? any chance?

I currently have active Verizon line, and an unlocked T-mobile Galaxy Note 3. Is there any possible way to get the Note 3 worked on Verizon? it's SM-N900T, and i can see it supports CDMA also.
Thanks
No, Verizon won't activate it

It may work, but it may require running VZW kernels or radios. Same hardware though, so there is likely a way.

[Q] Does the jfltespr work on tmobile network?

I'm thinking of switching to tmobile, does anyone know if our device will fully work on their network?
Also, does anyone know of any sprint phones I can purchase today that will work fully on their network, even any iphones possible.
There's whole thread on how to unlock the Gs4 for T-Mobile so yes. And search more.

No not fully, you will not get LTE. Sell your Sprint phone on EBay or Craig's list and buy a Tmobile phone for full functionality.

What do you mean? I just answered that, this phone works on Telus and Koodo. Telus uses Bells towers, Koodo uses Telus towers, therefore there is no carrier aggregation as every carrier uses same towers and just pays a rental fee to have more coverage to the third party radio tower owners.
