@Envious_Data I've been away for a while but, this is a great idea m8. I also think; would it also be a good idea to 'link in' the rooting info (like creating a big data base)? Cause on a cursory glance through the Q&A thread there are tons of the same Q's being asked (especially on rooting .167 firmware. I did it in 4 steps without creating a rooted zip). It doesn't have to be fancy m8 just a thing like "Rooting info here " (Isn't a link, just text colour). Anyways good idea m8:highfive: (wish I'd thought of it lol)

How to Fix Noise Canceling
So from what ive tested this method hasnt failed me once.
Requirements:
Flashtool
How to use flashtool
Instructions:
1. Download a FTF of your choice which matches the rom of your choice.
2. Wipe your Data/Cache Via Recovery
Next couple parts will guide you through rooting for locked bootloader
3. flash pre-rooted 167 rom via recovery
(if recovery is installed)(if not downgrade to 314 root and install recovery
6. power off your device and flash the rest of the FTF (Exclude Data because it will wipe your internal storage )
7. From Recovery Flash your ROM of Choice
8. Noise Canceling Should still work, it has from my testing
Noise Canceling Does break when you flash another rom so you will have to go through this process again
This Guide only Applies to stock

I think it just fix signal in Taiwan coz I see it has different baseband.

Battery life in 3.12 seems to be much better than before in 167

So why does Sony only give that update to Taiwan? Not for all?
Btw: how can you feel/say 3.12 has better battery life?

To use for a long time at least 1 week and then we can conclude.
---------- Post added at 11:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:13 PM ----------
Just compare files' size in two rom, .167 and 3.12, seem it has no difference. Like I said, I guess it just an update to fix signal in Taiwan coz I see it has different baseband

But this baseband maybe can fix our batterydrain.

So, BIONZ and X-Reality officially are lost with a ULB?

[XT1033 INDIA] Issues with 5.0.2 solved in 5.1, as Tested by me

A. Phone, Router & Firmware info:
1. My Phone : MotoG XT1033 Asia [Nov 2013 Model INDIA]
2. My WiFi Router : DSL-2750U_ADSL_Modem (U1, IN_1.08)
3. Root/Mod Status : No Mods, Not Rooted (Normal)
4. Old Firmware : Lollipop 5.0.2 [220.21.28] Stock
5. New Firmware : Lollipop 5.1 [221.21.56]
6. Update method :
a) File "Blur_Version.221.21.56.falcon_umtsds.AsiaRetail.en.03.zip" downloaded in PC. (file md5-checksum = 94856deaaa3f23a1163120b362cbaef10, 208.7 MB )
b) File copied to phone's sdcard/Internal memory.
c) "apply update from sdcard" thru phone's BootLoader/Recovery menu.effect same as update thru OTA file, but safer.
7. Updated Date : Sep 12, 2015.
8. Status : Update successfully installed.
9. Post update actions : wiped cache partition (thru fastboot & recovery menu)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B. Issues with 5.0.2 solved in 5.1 (Sep-2015), as experienced/Tested by me
1. WiFi re-connection issues after disconnect, with Channel-13 or auto-channel, earlier in 5.0.2.
(eg: when enforced WiFi disable/enable or by moving out/in of Wifi range).
These issues are solved in 5.1, even with Channel-13 selected (either manually or auto).
2. When an incoming call, is not picked-up even after screen timeout time (say 15 secs), then ringing stops, & display switches off. Accepting the call after this is very difficult. This issue is solved in 5.1
3. Gallery Application fails/ Misbehaves.
Albums/Videos, shows blank squares/Tiles. Problem temporarily solves on reboot, but only for one invocation. This issue is solved in 5.1
4. Two Photo icons in App Drawer. This issue is solved in 5.1.
5. The phone lagging response issues seems to be improved, if not altogethor solved.
At least it is more responsive (response time faster), and smoother to operate, than in 5.0.2.
But the final verdict on this can only be provided after some extended time of usage (say few weeks or more).
Earlier with 5.0.2 it was horrible, especially as time went by, and I was planning to revert to stock Kitkat-4.4.4.
So I want to know others experience regarding phone resposniveness w.rt 5.0.2 in 5.1
6. I am not facing any early Battery drainage issues in 5.1 w.r.t 5.0.2, as reported by some others.
In my opinion, if only it is better. But not sure (feedback only with couple of days usage)
Anyway surely not very bad than earlier.
7. CPU SpyPlus now reports 300 Mhz as min scaling freq, as against 787 Mhz in 5.0.2.
I am sot sure how significant this is. But some people reported this as a problem in 5.0.2
The highest reported freq is 1190 Mhz.
Incidentally some people are referring to this update as 5.1.1 instead of 5.1, here in these & related forums.
I am only seeing Android Version as 5.1 in : Settings --> About Phone Menu.
with Baseband version = MSM8626BP_1032.3116.98.00R and
Kernel version = 3.4.42-g89906d6
So I dont know whether Motorola is released or releasing any newer version 5.1.1 other than this one.
I think people are confusing this with 5.1.1.
I would like to hear other experts comments regarding this.
Even i updated my moto g XT1033 (India) model yesterday. Was running on CM12.1 before so had to flash 5.0.2 stock and then got the OTA update directly.
The changes are minor but what matters is performance and RAM Management and Battery Life.
1. The performance as mentioned by the OP has really improved. Device feels snappier and more usable then 5.0.2
2. I see many people even after updating to complaining about memory leaks but personally in my device i have 300-400mb of memory free (I have downloaded and updated all the apps and many apps like facebook whatsapp etc are running in background)
3. Another major change that i was able to notice was the battery life has improved (comparing to both cm12.1 based /AOSP based/ 5.0.2 stock) specially the stand by time went to bed with 90% and woke up with around 84% (where in cm12.1 it was used to be 70%)
am personally happy with this update even though it was too late. I'd appreciate if motorola could push the 5.1.1 update too since that does not contain any major changes (security patches).
PS: YOUR BOOTLOADER WILL GET UPDATED TO 41:1A this doesn't mean you cannot flash or root. You can flash and root by the same procedures but make sure to use the latest TWRP AND SUPERSU ZIPS.
Hey OP thanks for the post.
Can you also check if the Screen going completely black issue has been solved as well?
If you check Adaptive Brightness in
Settings>Display and reduce the brightness via the slider the screen goes black. It's like the phone is off, but it's really not. (be careful, don't forget where the slider is so you can crank it up again).
Can you confirm if this is still present in 5.1?
Thanks a lot!
Do you experience any battery drain bug such as Google Play Store or the infamous mobile standby drain ? Would love to hear your feedback about this. Last time I've tried some 5.1 custom roms they had this bug, which prompted me to switch back to 4.4.4.
Thanks.
Hi guys, thanks for your reports.
Could you please comment about the "mobile data active" issue? Is it solved or, at least, mitigated in 5.1?
Thanks!

TWRP : Please select stock Non-theme version to avoid problems
SuperSU: After flashing TWRP with mfastboot through bootloader use this zip to get root
PS: YOU CAN FLASH ANY 5.1.1 ROMS OVER IT WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM

You only need to install TWRP on your device and enter recovery mode.
Once there, you go to "Reboot" and then "System", TWRP will ask if you want to root and will run SuperSU script.
When you boot to Android again, TWRP will update itself over Play Store.

Wow! I was worried that when the next update will come I need to flash stock recovery.
I don't know why but my Moto G with 30-35 apps installed (Facebook, messenger, swiftkey etc...) sometimes it's just freeze for like 10-15 seconds and that wasn't happend in 5.0.2.
Is Static Wi-Fi working?

[ZIP][Firmware/Radio][Baseband] Recovery flashable firmware and radio [2.2.1-X-0]

Code:
Disclaimer:
I will not take any responsibility for anything bad that may happen to your device.
Use the ZIP at your own risk.
This is a flashable ZIP containing all the latest firmware and radio components from official OnePlus OTA updates. Notably it contains the baseband. This is meant for those using custom ROMs, but still wishing to update the baseband and all the other extra partitions (custom ROMs only cover /system and /boot).
NOTE: This is no magic tool which fixes or improves anything, it simply updates the baseband and other extra stuff to the latest version from official OxygenOS.
It is tested with the latest official TWRP and Sultaxda unofficial CM13.0, but it should work fine with any ROM.
Please report any issue you may have and whether it works for you or not (meaning you were able to flash it and it did not break anything).
Instructions: Download the ZIP from the link below and flash through recovery.

Thanks a lot, this will be very useful. Just the other day i had an issue with the touchscreen (ghost touching when writing fast in swiftkey) that i thought was hardware and turned out to be software because i flashed back to oxygen before flashing the custom rom again and everything worked good again. Probably something got messed up because of flashing several custom roms and flashing oxygen probably fixed it because it flashed back everything like it was supposed to be
SO basically this can be flashed on any ROM and is an enhancement to the baseband right ? Should be helpful for me as i have never gone back to Stock since OOS 2.1.3 lol

Did it work? Earlier i extracted modem from 2.2.1-x and flashed but nothing was changed. None of the ROMs are wiping modem partition, so if someone has ever upgraded to 2.2.1-x,he shouldn't need it. We have yellow line for network connectivity in almost all MM Roms and I thought it might be something related to marshmallow. If it works, that would be awesome. If you have any explanation for this, please share.

More than an enhancement it's an update of baseband and other firmware stuff (all official, nothing custom made by me), useful in cases like yours. It should work with any ROM indeed.
..Ok someone hast to be the first to ask stupid questions =)
What's the use of this .zip? What benefits do I get out of it?
Concerning radio, on Oos I noticed in Battery detail I always got a solid green bar at signal strength. On sultan's cm13 it varies, but mostly yellow or worse signal.
I thought this also means worse battery life, battery drain. I asked this in the corresponding thread and someone answered that it's just a cosmetic thing, radio isn't changed with custom rom or essentially the same so there won't be additiional battery drain.

dont remember if it was me that said it was cosmetic (i said it, but i think it was on cm13 official thread, not on Sultan's) and it really is. I get like 1% battery drain on cm13 which would be impossible if my cell reception was equal to having those orange lines when the phone is deep sleeping. And you can easily check that by turning the screen on after a period of inactivity, just look at the cell icon on the statusbar right after turning the screen on, it will be at full signal (in my case, because in my house i have full signal) even though it shows orange lines on battery stats

Ok.. I generally get more battery drain overnight. I read in many posts normal drain would be around 5%.
What bothers me is that the battery drain is kind of unpredictable for me..I don't know.. I'm always careful with apps and functions that drain battery. I also use greenify.
Flashed nano gapps. In Profiles tab I disabled sync for most stuff.
Now mm has this new doze mode...Is it equal to deep sleep? Also tasker app told me it would be a bad idea to enable doze for tasker, so I disabled it. Does this mean my phone can never get into doze, deep sleep just because of one app that's not optimized?
Also under Apps i can't find a way to get all currently active apps in mm.

I think most people here are very obsessed with battery life and use stuff that has to be very well configured, otherwise it may cause extra drain (im looking at amplify for example). I dont use any battery saving apps and have excellent standby time. But i think its mostly because i have very good cell reception. Cell reception has a major impact on this phone. And at night i turn off wifi and data (i see no use in them being on, i just turn them on when i wake up). Just today, on 8 hours of sleep i lost 1%. But i have seen people with bad cell reception have really bad battery life

You can use Better Battery Stats to see whats draining your battery and to see if your phone goes into deep sleep, when it goes and so on.
Well, I flashed this firmware/baseband, will report if I see any changes. :cyclops:

I let tasker handle these things. I scanned "cell coordinates" while at home and told tasker only to switch wifi on if these match.
So if I'm not at home wifi is deactivated. Signal scanning is going on anyways so there's no additional drain like it would be if I relied on gprs location.
Data is always off, tasker only activates it if I start certain apps like browser and gets disables it if I close the app.
One thing that's always on is bluetooth...maybe I should make a routine where it gets deactivated overnight and activated again in morning.

I tried that and got strange behaviour. App tells me it has to be installed as privileged app but the auto install routine failed. Somehow it seemed to work anyway as I was able to enter the app and got some stats.
Now ofter May 17th update I only get to auto routine install screen. It also says I can copy the .apk in /system/priv-apps...Looked in there and better battery stats apk is already in there.
About this thread
Ok, I updated the first post to try and clarify a bit what this flashable package is for, since I think there is/was some confusion.
To quickly answer doubts like "what do I gain?": if you flash it, it updates your baseband and some other firmware stuff to be on par with the latest OxygenOS version. You may want to do this for many reasons, but it will not magically fix any data issue on MM ROMs (still you can try if you feel it may help).
So, files on this thread are from last version 2.2.1-X.
Maybe it's not the right place to ask but once radio is updated, is it permanent ? If i flash full 2.2.1 rom from here : http://downloads.oneplus.net/devices/oneplus-x/ will the radio change or it allways keep the lastest ?
Thanks
Will this fix the CM13 T-mobile cellular data bug? (On CM13 roms, when leaving Wi-Fi, cellular data does not connect. Instead it shows "LTE!" and cannot be fixed unless I manually turn off and on cellular data or airplane mode, or restart the phone.) Additionally, does this change any settings related to bluetooth? I was having poor bluetooth connectivity on CM13. Switched back to Oxygen OS and everything works perfectly. Would like to go back to CM13 though for MM features. If anyone has any info please report back. Thanks!
Thanks for this, just what I was looking for...
But what should the baseband version be after flashing this, as I'm pretty sure mine didn't change?
(can't remember what version of OOS I was on before moving to custom roms as it was a while ago now)
Will always keep the latest from the last oso you have installed just before you current custom rom.

Maybe it's not the right place to ask but once radio is updated, is it permanent ? If i flash full 2.2.1 rom from here : http://downloads.oneplus.net/devices/oneplus-x/ will the radio change or it allways keep the lastest ?

If you flash stock ROM it will overwrite the radio since it contains everything. This is actually based on the official OOS zip.

Thanks!

This is not a fix for any bug and I saw no clear report of improvements after updating with this ZIP or flashing stock prior to custom ROM, but you can try, it may help. Honestly I am not sure if any of these firmware pieces contains anything for bluetooh, but again you can flash it if in doubt.

Thanks for this, just what I was looking for...
But what should the baseband version be after flashing this, as I'm pretty sure mine didn't change?
(can't remember what version of OOS I was on before moving to custom roms as it was a while ago now)

I didn't check either before flashing latest stock, but now you should have .4.0.1.c7-00013-M8974AAAAANAZM-1

---------- Post added at 12:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:26 PM ----------
I tried that and got strange behaviour.

Paranoid Android 6.0.1 [Xperia Z2]

Sharing you the Good News from PA Team.
We are launching brand spanking fresh. All new features. New team members. New everything and we have made sure that everything that we are releasing has been polished to our best.
The main features and enhancements that you will probably end up noticing are our custom Quick Settings tile reordering functionality, floating window support, immersive mode, the new on-the-spot interface and CM Theme Engine.
Quick Settings tiles can be managed with ease - you can reorder the tiles by simply long pressing them, remove them by dropping them in the trash bin and add them back in from the add panel. The hidden tiles will be out of your way when checking the notifications but will still be usable from the add panel without any hassles if you want to do that all of a sudden.
You can make an application float either by long pressing a notification and tapping the floating button or by tapping the floating button for the application in the recents list. Additionally, you can make peeking (heads-up) notifications open floating windows by enabling that behavior in the "Floating peek" tile.
Those are not the only changes and features we have added. There are a variety of improvements to CAF devices (OnePlus, OPPO and others) which add custom kernels, advanced gesture and buttons control and more to provide a great experience on those devices. Of course we have spent a lot of attention on making all the visual details look right and on making all the functionality work right.
Over the months we have gained a bunch of new team members. We are now ready for all varieties of work - be it low level, aesthetics, user experience, motion design, testing or anything in-between. What we strive for is the best and we are stronger than ever to reach that.
On Paranoid Android 2016 launch we are supporting popular Nexus devices (6P, 5X, 6, 5, 4, 7 2013, 9) and the OnePlus family (One, 2, X and 3) along with some Sony devices. The lineup is this way to make sure we release the best possible experience on all the devices we release for. No compromises, pure greatness.
We highly recommend everyone to use OpenGapps full version (do not use stock). Nexus 6P users need to make sure their vendor partitions are up-to-date (6.0.1). Our Nexus 5X builds come with a prebuilt vendor image so no worries for you folks!

unloked bootloader is necessary
1 copy the zip in the sd card (the rom and the gapps)
2 reboot on recovery (use advance recovery highly recommended twrp)
3 make backup (just in case if anything goes wrong) then make a full wipe (dalvik cache, system, cache and data)
4 flash the rom zip, have done this, flash the gapps
5 then reboot system, it takes some minuts thats all.
good look:good:
Hum... Im getting Error 7 and I cannot find any "assert" line in the "updater-script"... does anyone know how to fix it?
what about camera?
Camera works, and launches quickly. It supports 20MP resolution in 4:3, but only 720P 30FPS video.
Phone handset mode doesn't output audio, but speakerphone works.
NFC is not working.
exFAT support for the SD card seems to have disappeared, so you'll have to be formatted as FAT32.
Recovery disappeared after installing.
Installing the SuperSU zip file after installing pa_sirius-6.0.2-20160731-signed.zip and GApps appears to have failed, which means that I have an unrooted device, no recovery mode, and no way to get either back without going to a factory image.
Other than that, seems smooth.

Any reviews?
Rom is smooth. Has some useful features such as the long press quick settings management. I like the battery icon (lol, yeah). otherwise looks like AOSP except for CMTE. Camera is better than all custom MM roms I have tried but picture quality is still poor. Focus works though which is a plus. Can definitely be daily driver for people who aren't big on camera quality.

[6.0.1][K920][kingdom_row]CyanogenMod 13.0 for Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro - Support and Help

Since the development thread is closed by OP request( sad but true ), and personally building a "port" of the ROM, i'm glad to help everybody as i can, with this thread.
It doesn't mean to be a development thread since i only build and implement some changes, but just to share comments, issues( like xposed one ) or just ideas to people who own this device ( CN or ROW ).
As a reminder you can find my builds here: LINK or just use OTA function in ROM.
And a big thanks to @frantisheq and @Electry for the works on CM13, and for the next, CM14.

Are someone try to flash Vibe Z2 (NON PRO) with this ROM?
don't do it, you will probably brick the phone.
K920/Z2 PRO only
Uploaded new build!
Should have Dec 5 patches, have a nice day
Try to install the latest build together with xposed. There is a boot loop with CM logo...... It seems to me there was such kind of problem......
That should be fixed by cm ? . Will apply the xposed fix in next build.
Thanks to inform me about this!
Tapatalk
updated build, with xposed patch, hoping now works fine
The latest build works fine for me. I installed it with xposed.
Hey @malaga82
I have a strange feeling that the new ROM is worse in performance compared to the previous build. It has way more stutters and sometimes the system UI resets and changes my wallpaper to the stock one. Anyone else facing such issues?

Could you please provide more details about this behavior and I try to reproduce it? Now I have not such kind of problem. But I can say that the UI sometimes has strange behavior. For example, the horizontal size of quick settings can be more widely than the size of the screen.
maybe it's something related to CM repo's and they will fix "soon".
give some days to see if they fix anything, i'll provide a new build.
In additional to my previous report I would like to add that the latest build cannot hold loading. At the previous build from 16 Nov I can run at the same time a navigation application and a video registration application. Now I cannot do the same because the device is rebooting due to overheating. I tried to figure out what is going on and found that the high limit of CPU0 temperature is set up to 85 C (it seems to me it is low....) and I cannot change it – try several tuning tools. And it is not only one reboot – there are several reboots….. After its a Bluetooth pairing was lost….. And I can repair a normal work only wipe cache & dalvik through TWRP and pair a Bluetooth once again…..
i'd like to have more feedback if possible.
i'm thinking to try to build with the "old" kernel that have cpu voltage control and other features i included times ago.
atm we are a bit stuck with development.

Could you please prepare a build with "old" kernel? Who does not face the overheating problem can stay on the previous one
Solved games issue.
Hello!
Sorry for my English, I from Russia.
On roms later CM 13 2016.03.07 in file: build.prop, increase the value: dalvik.vm.heapsize= from 512m to 768m. This led to the errors in game Real racing 3 (insufficient free memory, missing textures, game crashes). With value 512m games work fine.
If install Adreno drivers from ROM CM 13 2016.03.07, game Gear.club also work fine. The difference can be noticed immediately after starting the game.
I also sent this message to frantisheq.
Happy new year!
Solved games issue.
Additional information to the previous post.
I was looking the file: default.prop, and the parameter ( dalvik.vm.dex2oat-xmx ) is set to =512m. System parameter ( dalvik.vm.heapsize=768m) overlap kernel parameter. Possible, if rebuild kernel with the value 768m, all be fine? I don't test this.

The phone doesnt go in to silent mode by pressing the volume low button.

I'm almost positive this was the behavior in Hydrogen 1.4 on the OP3 I'm not 100% if this was the case on OOS though. So it was more of an "oh right" thing for me. >.> I quoted the wrong person... oh well

I saw on google that this is done by Minimal ADB or by recovery stock, right?

What exactly is the problem installing TWRP? What happens, error messages, etc. What version TWRP? Your OOS version is over 2 years old. So you may need an older version of TWRP.
But more importantly, why mess with these old and obsolete versions of OOS? My suggestion would be to install current 5.0.8.

Hello again, I'm already on OOS 3.5.3 Android 6.0.1. I came back in this version because of the games that were not updated. I searched and saw that TWRP would be an old version, had the latest version installed and I had problems with the system backup option (I could not do it, it was giving error) and the storage was not showing on the PC. My last question is about what it would be and what it does (FIX DM Verity) and whether there is any version of magisk for Android 6.0.1 on OPT3.
