Ain't that a bit much work for new IMEI's?
I found the easiest way to (temporarily) fix the IMEI is like this: http://meandmywiko.blogspot.de/2016/04/wiko-rainbow-repair-fix-invalid-imei.html
Only thing you need is root (delivered on stock at CM13). If you still have problems to get through to your phone: My phone recently went totally black ( no charging lights, no nothing ) and I fixed it like also descripted on the blog.

[warning] backup before flashin official jellybean

I flashed the official jellybean available on faryaab's thread via mobile odin pro. Here were the bugs
1. lockscreen was missing
2. press and hold power key for 2 secs and phn turned off( no epm)
3. my pc didn't recognize my device
i reflashed without injecting ever root and still the same bugs
now i was stuck on the rom and my pc and odin wont recognize my phn even in download mode
thank God i had a cm10.1 backup available and i restored it using temporary cwm to get out of the situation.
So keeping in view my experience i highly recommend that
1. keep backup of the last rom u are using before flashing
2. flash with mobile odin and inject ever root so you can flash some custom kernel/rom
my pc is still not recognizing my phone
i will flash stock gb and restore cm10.1 over it to restore my baseband and will update the post later
i flashed it over odin pc and no problems must be problems at your side

one file is missing in your efs folder
you gave to have root access to do this
you will need root explorer
in root explorer,go to your 'efs' folder, in the efs folder, open the 'imei' folder
then press option, then click 'create a new file'
remane the file to 'keystr'
open the file with root explorer with text editor
write 'ON' in the file.save and exit
set permission to rw-rw-rw
thats all.
reboot ur phone into Sammy ROM. check if u have lockscreen and power button option.
if you don't wanna do that you can flash jb leak and you'll get your lockscreen back.

hell with the official roms!..why worry when u have wonderfull devs on xda?..go flash neatrom or disaster rom v8 or militant etc etc and see which one you are satisfied with!..in my personal opinion and use,i found disaster rom to be more stable than the samsung official firmware!not even a single bug encountered in a weeks use!

[Q] Problem creating a TWRP Custom Recovery with Odin

Hi everyone. I have followed the YouTube video by Chris Nacca (http://youtu.be/Ov6BXOu7SwA)that uses TWRP 2.5 custom recovery (file: openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.2-jfltexx.tar) on my unlocked GT-i9505 S4 using Odin 3.07. Unfortunately, despite the message from Odin indicates all worked fine (<ID:0/004> RES OK !!), on rebooting my phone back into Recovery mode, I am greeted with the Android character telling me there is an Error and then "dying" and saying "No Command".
The phone isn't bricked as I can move the highlight bar through the various menu options at the top left-hand side of the screen and reboot back via my stock ROM but clearly the Custom Recovery hasn't been installed correctly and, despite the Message screen in Odin showing <OSM> All threads completed. (success 1 / failed 0).
I have a rooted and unlocked GT-I9505 with a baseband reading as: I9505ZHUZME1. Anyone got any ideas or advice as to what may have gone wrong as if I can't sort this out I can't move to a custom ROM. :crying:
Many thanks in advance, Jim

Thanks for your reply. Being new to Android, am I correct in assuming that I merely download the last .tar file from the page you provided the link to and install it as I did the TWRP custom recovery file using Odin? Am I right in believing this will leave me with my Stock ROM but I can then do a Nandroid Backup and move to a custom ROM from there when I am ready?

Sorry small correction
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2281367
use the above link which is PHILZ recovery
Edit : u have to have ur phone into download mode which u can go by
power off device unplug press volume down home power all together till u get download mode and connect to device
the file extension will be .tar use it on PDA at odin and flash it
then u can take a backup of the entire current firmware and keep it to safe place like PC Hard drive and move to ROMS

Thanks. One (hopefully) last question: The link you provided has both *.zip and *.tar.md5 files. I presume you mean I should use the latter, and do I need to remove the last portion (.md5) to make it a *.tar file or use it as is in Odin 3.07?

Sorry, back again. I have done as you suggested (twice) and still can't get my phone to install a custom recovery. While Odin once again reports a successful install (as it did when installed the TWRP custom recovery), when I reboot back into custom recovery mode after installing PhilZ Touch custom recovery (as indicated by the blue text on the start-up screen), I no longer get the dying Android figure as I did when installed TWRP custom recovery, but the screen goes to a black, vibrates and then the phone reboots normally (which is a relief). So, needless to say - I am stumped. Can you or anyone else offer any suggestions?

Definitely a rooted phone. I have SuperUser on it and a range of applications from Titanium Backup, ROM Toolbox, GooManager etc all confirm that they have root access.

Also download a app from play store "root checker" and see what its saying
possibly the recovery is not getting installed on phone coz of some root access
Edit : Superuser etc can be there from play store without root also wont work thought

Happy to try but could you point me to how I get back to stock firmware and then reset the device? I thought I was still using stock firmware (rooted I understand) so I think you must mean that I need to unroot my phone some how, reboot and then use the rooting process you just posted before install Philz recovery. Would you mind describing a little more - I know I have taken up a lot of your time but greatly apprecriate your help,

U can download the stock firmware from ur device I9505 will be abt 1.4 gb
once downloaded extract in a folder then flash using Odin pda - need to select .tar here again as u did b4 for recovery flashng etc
This will flash a Firmware and u will have stock phone unrooted
from there reset the device from ur phone which will remoce all the bad files etc and all the data also from ur Internal phone memory
after that as told Root and install recovery hope fully this will work without issues

Okay, got all that. I am surprised that you can flash stock firmware back on to your phone as I was under the impression you needed a custom recovery installed before you could add a custom ROM. Is that purely a "safety" precaution and I could bite the bullet and install a custom ROM now (should I be silly enough to try)? I do have may SYSTEM, APPS and USER data back up. Obviously I will loose everything on my phone doing this but can I expect that I can restore the APPs and USER data from my existing backup but not attempt to do this will the system files in fear of recreating the current problem?

Yes u can flash stock with Odin no need to install recovery for that..Custom recovery is needed mostly to flash custom Roms more or less u can say
and this method is 100% safe as long as u do properly
make sure u have 60% plus battery on the phone dont disconnect while its running / installing
and dont re install backup u have taken b4 with system files etc myte create plm
rather use titanium / mybackup pro app just to backup messages/ apps etc and save it else where or SD card for later use

Hi, I have done as suggested and flashed the stock ROM and performed a hard Reset. I didn't expect the flashing of the ROM would leave all my apps and screens as they were. Is that normal? I did confirm that the baseband number had changed, which is has. I then moved on to install the root as suggested and all seems to have worked well with the red Android figure appearing. Unfortunately SuperSU is complaining of not having the necessary binary files and Root Checker doesn't seem to be able to determine whether I have rooted phone or not as it just sits there complaining that my system seem slow. Any advice? Thanks.

Hi, yes I tried SU from play store - same issue. I also reset from the Backup and Reset option on the phone which did delete all the apps etc so to the best of my knowledge, I followed all the steps as described by you and on the various pages you gave me links to.
I have just tried SuperUser. It noted the binaries were old but when it attempted to update, said it "failed" to gain root access. Despite getting the confirmatory Red Android after the root process, I now wonder if it didn't go entirely as planned despite trying 2-3 times....?

Here is what I used on both jb and kk. I went to twrp home page and downloaded the latest version (img.tar) and flashed it via Odin 3.09. I then downloaded downloaded the custom ROM and flashed using the recovery. If you are wanting to stay stock with root download the latest version of superSU to your SD card and then flash using the custom recovery.
Here is one thing I found out after updating to KK when holding the buttons to boot into recovery only hold them until you see the text "recovery booting" (or something similar). If you continue to hold, the phone will bootloop and actually turn on. Hope this helps.

Second, you said: If you are wanting to stay stock with root download the latest version of superSU to your SD card and then flash using the custom recovery.
I don't understand what you mean, can we root it without flashing the firmware? only using the latest version of superSU to my SD card and then flash using the custom recovery. that's all.
Other questions:
Oneclic root software can it work with Note 3 N900T 4.3 T-MBIL , Such as: VRoot_1.7.4. or kingo Android root ?

Twrp: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2
(Make sure you download the correct version for you OS. Kitkat or Jelly Bean. If it were me I would make sure you are updated to KK.) Make sure the file you download is the one ending with img.tar and flash with Odin.
You do not need to flash a custom ROM to achieve root. You can use the base android version and have root. If you want to use a custom ROM there is no need to mess with SuperSU as almost every ROM will have it prebuilt in. If you are ONLY wanting root without changing your ROM then you will need to flash SuperSU using a custom recovery, I prefer twrp.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
Here is the link to get the .zip file for the most up to date version of SuperSU.
Here are some instructions:
Flash twrp using Odin
Enter recovery mode (if not sure how to do it, Google it) Make sure you only hols the buttons until the words "recovery booting" appear and then release.
Once in twrp you can then flash your ROM or SuperSU. If you do not know how to use twrp just look it up on YouTube.
Once you have twrp and SuperSU OR a custom ROM you should be rooted.
WARNING: Rooting your phone with my method WILL trip Knox!
Extra questions: I did research and did not trust the companies performing the one click root. It's up to you on who you trust. I have no experience with the one touch rooting, but as long as they say you device is supported by them then you should be good to go.

2 days ago i flashed twrp on my pure stock note 4, i did backup my rom including EFS using twrp and then flash kyubi rom with nameless kernel, it all went well. just now i wipe data ,system, cache on twrp and restore my backup stock rom and it went well too...and then i try to flash stock rom using odin so i can get back the stock recovery mode for OTA update when MM releases.. the flashing was a sucess and phone booted but my data inside werent wipe.
so i went to recovery mode and saw this dm-verity verification failed on the bottom i proceed to wipe data and reboot my phone, its all working now no problems except i cant reset my phone with the setting inside it will just bring me to recovey mode and stay there with that message.
now i did some research, some saying will bootloop and stuffs but mine is all ok no problem except i cant reset it inside the settings..
anyone can help me get rid of that message/problem?
If you format everything in advance format in twrp and then flash stock firmware this message will go away.
got the same problem. Then I went to a local store. They helped me. Here are steps
1. Pull out your battery, check your serial number (S/N:....)
2. Download smart switch, enter emergency software recovery..... Enter your serial number
3. Turn off your phone. Enter download mode or sth ( I don't remember it clearly. just power + vol down or up. just try it)
4. Smart switch will recognize your phone. Choose a firmware to download. then wait
5. Enjoy stock firmware
Use kies3 reinstall drivers, then use emergency recovery in kies to reinstall your current firmware or opt to update to latest or most recent release or version then follow kies instructions

Hello everyone
I have found a way to fix dm-verity and DRK issues and it works like official, meaning no errors in stock recovery and OTA works with Official firmware, the problem is related to corrupted/deleted 3 files on /efs partition. I have tested it on SM-N910C so I guess it works on other Exynos variants, perhaps even on snapdragon if the partition layout is similar? Kies won't restore DRK or dm-verity check because it doesn't write to EFS. I can fix yours if someone is interested via Team Viewer, you will need the following:
1. PM contact me for Skype ID
2. Stock rom, rooted (any root method)
3. Adb debugging enabled and drivers installed (Kies or SmartSwitch)
After repair you can enter your stock recovery and confirm there is no DRK/dm-verity red letters error.

please guide us the proceedure here .. i have a phone with same problem & i have to update it to MM ...

Mine still says fail. but it also says "need to check drk first" could anyone possibly help me im stuck.the phone loads up and everything. but when i try to root or anything or flash any other firmware than n910pvpu5dqi5 it fails about 4 seconds in to flashing on odin. ive downloaded every possible firmware specific to the SM-N910P but only one worked.

If you just unlocked your bootloader and thats it, your rom should still be the stock one.

At first flash lolipop stock ROM.Full guide is here. Then flash cm13 by @ED300.
Bro Lenovo a6000 plus firmware downloading link fail.
I have solution
Bro first of all test those sim cards in another mobile , if they were fine then you have two remove both sim cards from your device and then reboot to recovery and flash stock rom (if you have kk based rom installled then flash only kk based pure official stock rom only or if you have lollipop/marshmallow /naughat based rom installed then you have to flash only stock pure official lolipop rom ) . For flashing stock lolipop rom first extract that package and move system.zip and another country named file which one you want i recommend you to use your own country file , after that flash only these to system.zip and country zip via recovery first flash system.zip and then country zip and then super su . And after flashing stock rom don't forget to flash your twrp recovery ( for example- for stock kitkat flash kitkat based twrp.img and for stock lolipop flash lolipop based twrp.img and then flash any supersu.zip file ) remember the step of flashing twrp recovery again before rebooting otherwise you will permanently loose your twrp and root access .This simcard error comes from persist partition (you can easily see this option during mounting any file system in twrp recovery) . I am damn sure that you accidentally wiped this partition , but don't worry if this is not a hardware related problem you can easily make your device to work properly with your sims, Another tip please flash those stock roms without sim cards and don't insert sim cards until your phone turns on for first time after that you will switch off your phone and insert sims. Wolla you got your sim connection back. I am again saying flash stock rom only without any sim . If these steps dont work contact me via WhatsApp - +91 9205097520 or simply reply me on xda or mail me at [email protected] . I hope you understand the steps :good: .
And don't forget to tell me about your device problem
. Any time you want help iam ready for you guys.
sometimes the sim slot is loose for sims when we put in our micro-sim my telenor PK works flawlessly on both slot 1&2 while i couldnt get my Jazz/Warid one to work and the solution was to add a piece of paper on the sim over slot 2 to get it read otherwise im sure your issue was resolved by the previous person who posted
