[PSA] Wanam Xposed users and 4.4.4 - Sprint Galaxy S 5 General

Just a friendly heads up.
Was messing around with 4.4.4 /customizing etc. Something with the Wanam Xposed module breaks all the radios. Not entirely sure what happened, but I'm currently downgrading to 4.4.2 in an attempt to fix it. I've already done a fresh install, tried reactivating/resetting programming to no avail.
Oh well. This is why we back things up, right?

Can you be more specific? 4.4.4 couldn't be smoother for me.

Was messing around with Wanam xposed and it borked my radios. Did a full restore to 4.4.4 and it worked again.
..went to confirm my suspicions and with Wanam and same thing happened. Could be coincidence, but when I messed with the status bar settings and rebooted, i had no radios. It would "connect" to wifi, lte, etc but data/voice would not work.
Edit: Other than that.. it's working quite well. Super snappy/responsive.

Odd. I messed with almost every setting for the statusbar on 4.4.4. Theming didn't work at all as 4.4.4 has sewed up almost any chance of theming, but it sure didn't wreck the phone. I dunno.

I'm on 4.4.4 and I've themed and customized my status bar using Wanam and have absolutely no issues with my radios.

Share the wealth, bro! What are you doing differently?
No matter what I try with the theming by Wanam, it won't convert upon reboot.

I noticed that when changing the color, after changing the color, you have to press Preview then press Apply. Don't forget to make sure that the theming option is On too.

Nope. Didn't work for me. I later tried 3 different stausbar apps from the repository. Nothing.
I'm trying to simply change them to white, instead of stock grayish.

G2 Xposed issue

Did some searching but couldnt find an answer.
I'm running a D800 (att) variant. I am rooted and have the xposed framework installed. Any time I use any Xposed module, it makes my clock widget stop responding. This is with either the stock clock widget or DashClock. Reboots don't fix the issue.
Any ideas?
Thanks!!

Tried removing all the Xposed files and running it again? I had some issues and that worked for me (wasn't a widget issue).

[Q] Brightness Adjustment in Notification Panel keeps coming back

Hi I've been having this problem since updating to the official 4.4 KitKat for my N9005 and it has been persisting even after flashing Omega ROM as well. In my notification panel, I disabled the Brightness adjustment bar through the Samsung Settings and after a few hours, the brightness adjustment meter will appear in my notification panel again without me changing anything. Its really annoying and I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem or knows how to solve this? I have Wanam Xposed installed if it matters.

I think you need a 'test' to have a 'control' experiment. My point is, uninstall Wanam Xposed first and see if issue is fixed, even tho, i don't think wanam should cause this, however i like the brightness option so i never tried to remove it.
If removing wanam doesn't fix it, then try reflashing ur current ROM without full wipe
If still doesn't work, reflash with full wipe
Still doesn't work? Change ROM.
And also, if you feel it is an issue in the ROM, ask in the ROM thread, you will have better luck getting a definite answer or even a fix there. Cheers!
Thanks for the reply! It actually happens both on stock NA6 and Omega so I thought it was a Stock thing but I'll try to experiment I guess.
Sent from my SM-N9005
This started happening to me too since I updated to KitKat. I'm on unrooted stock, without wanam or anything else.
Oh so this must be a Samsung thing. How irritating?

ART refuses to turn on?

Hello fellow N4 users,
I noticed few threads about ART actually running quite well on our device and I thought I'd give it a go aswell. However when I go into Dev settings and select ART instead of Dalvik, my phone just simply reboots and nothing is changed, the option is set to Dalvik again. I'm rooted on stock ROM. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
The same happen to my phone on rooted rom. On my S5 art works fine, I don't know why it won't enable on N4.

So there's completely nothing to do atm except waiting for 5.0?
I've notice this used to happen when I had xposed framework installed (xposed is not compatible with ART).
Do you have Xposed installed?
I feel like a real noob... You're right art is not compatible with Xposed... Thanks for pointing it out.

Viper4android not working [LP]

Hey guys .. Really didnt wanted to open a new thread but i was reading through many threads in the past days and didnt find a solution. Ive installed viper4android as system app and changed selinux to permissive. But it just doesnt work
Is there anybody facing the same or is there anything i missed?
Thanks in advance
This is what driver status says...
Btw im on lp 30b with stock kernel
I'm getting the same problem on my ls980 (Sprint var.)
I'm running a lollipop ROM, (Resurrection Remix)
This is in lollipop 5.1, however.
Very sad though... I LOVE viper. Probably one of my biggest reasons for root, besides custom ROMs and Xposed.
Hopefully this will be looked into.
---EDIT---
My driver status is listed as abnormal, and not enabled.
Probably means I'm even worse off than you

I'm on D802 lollipop and viper4android installed. It worked very nicely for few days. But suddenly stopped working. I've tried reinstalling many times and even added the build.prop settings mentioned in one thread.
But now it just doesn't work. The status says abnormal. And whenever I open the app, music stops playing. Hope someone can help us.

Check my guide for poweramp and v4a, it might just be the thing to fix it.
Thanks man. It turned out that somehow my selinux had become enforcing. Changed it to permissive and things work as expected.
Check ,,Use ,,NuPlayer'' '' in developer setting.
And install SELinux Enabler script via recovery : http://blastagator.ddns.net/dorimanx.php

xposed

Can we flash xposed via twrp or flash fire ?
Do it. At your own risk.
If you do it please let us know the results and which version you flashed.
I was also wondering about Viper4Android. I could really use the boost and equalizer.
Can you either nandroid back or flash a stock image if things go south? Can you even flash zips in TWRP yet without issue? You're rolling a big pair if you can't do either.
Is there an xposed for Nougat? Rumor says no. Rumor confirmed.

Surely doesn't seem to be time to try this yet! Too soon and there's no safety net if something goes wrong.

To be honest, there's really not much benefit at all to rooting yet. Yet people spend hours upon hours of aggravation trying to do so, with many of them that shouldn't be anywhere near an ADB command.
It's the same story with every new phone. The "root commandos."
Xposed isn't working for Nougat I thought

It's Working Now. Don't Use Material Xposed Installer. Use The official Xposed Installer APK which is 3.1.2 Currently. Otherwise None Of The Modules Will Work.

I was just thinking the same thing... i've almost always rooted and modified my phones.. but I think it was usually for a specific purpose or need..
the older phones I had were running touchwiz.. which i HATED to use.. so was so eager to get ROM with more of a stock android..
Or how I would love having some of the features of Cyanogenmod.. like "ScreenShot" or Reboot menu ... but with the V20.. it has screen shot built in beautifully..
I know it was also nice to be able to install titanium backup and be able to delete a lot of the stock bloatware .. but the V20 doesn't have much.. plus I can disable most of them...
I do wish I could find a rom that may run a little faster... I have noticed some Hiccups with this phone.. and 1 or 2 random reboots.. but honestly i'm sure if I went with custom software or modifed with Xposed.. i could see that more..
It would be interesting to see what some of the reasons why people on here have rooted the V20.

Mega ROM On 7.0 Stock Kernel With SU. If You Have TWRP, Back Up Just In Case. Download Xposed Installer And In Settings There Is An Installation Option, Choose Manual (This Will Save Downloaded Files So You Can Flash Manually From SD) go To The Main Screen And You Can Get Both The Official framework And The Uninstaller. Consider Looking Up How To Unbrick just In Case

I never did root my V20. I'm on the Note 8 now and can't see any benefit of rooting it, either.
I'm really fond of Android Pay. I'm pretty fond of my phone working as it should all day every day. To one degree or the other, you lose that with root. SystemUI tuner will do quite a bit of Xposed's work, and I'm not so annoyed with ads that I feel a need for Adaway.

Dl the APK, sdk24 arm64 version of xposed, and the Uninstaller. Install the APK and allow the app to install xposed through recovery. It will begin install, prompt to reboot in recovery, obviously select okay. Then it's an automatic process. Initial boot up time takes a while so be patient. Everything should be good to go after that. Good luck!
BTW I'm on h918, stock 10q.
I have YouTube adblock, boot manager, xposed torch, and stay awake for now. I feel like a nerd being excited about xposed. This is making the v20 even better!
