LRX22C - Nexus 9 General

I am hoping to update to LRX22C (5.0.1) this evening. I'll post any findings I have once I've done that.
As I am on TWRP and using SuperSU, I will have to a manual flash and reapply TWRP and SuperSU.

Need help re-rooting on 4.4.2 KOT49H

Android version: 4.4.2
Build: KOT49H
Nexus 7 2012 Wi-Fi (Non-data/Non-3G version)
Wug's Toolkit: 1.8.0
So I flashed all three of these files on the my ReadytoFlash! folder, excluding SuperSU 1.51 in which I didn't flash.
All my root check tests with apps like ES, SuperSU,and so on are failing.
Is there anything I did wrong here?
I haven't rooted my N7 2012 since 4.2.1/4.2.2
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a custom recovery installed? If so, try flashing supersu zip in recovery.

[OTA] XT1032 4.4.4 Retail US

here we go
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/40676435/Blur_Version.210.12.32.falcon_umts.Retail.en.US.zip
4.4.4
Moto G (gen 1) (Consumer Cellular) just updated 4.4.4
Thanks pal, changelog?
I just got the update. I think Motorola is getting ready to update their Moto devices to Lollipop.
Im on CWM
Is it weird that I got the notification for the 4.4.4 update even though I use CWM instead of the stock recovery?
When I got the 4.4.3 update, I installed it via the OTA and didn't change from CWM to stock recovery. Nothing seemed wrong. But from what I understood you shouldn't be able to get OTA updates if you have a custom recovery?
I'm on Philz recovery. Unfortunately can't install the OTA. While installing error appears saying that there is a problem with verification Exchange2.apk...
Does this work with cwm? I tried with twrp but no luck and for some reason I can't fastboot stock recovery
Only stock recovery and untouched /system partition
So not for me

I've got Philz Recovery and I can update with the update zip.
My system partition was unmodified (The Exchange error like it happens to Legomina was caused by a system modification).
Have a rooted device with xposed. OTA does not apply either with stock recovery or philz. Does anyone have a full SBF instead (I hate OTAs anyway, they never quite work for me)?
When the full firmware image is available, it will be announced here:

Thanks for this! Updated using this. My falcon was rooted using Superboot. So the recovery was stock. I was using xposed modules. I followed these steps:
1. Downloaded the file in OP
2. Copied it to sdcard
3. Booted to recovery
4. Selected install update from sdcard and then selected the update zip
5. Done! :good:
It took around 5 minutes for all this process. Thanks a lot @tony_evl :highfive:

x1032, Amazon, Global version
I just bought my x1032 Moto G from Amazon. The global GSM (international) version. I learned how to and I unlocked bootloader, flahsed TWRP 2.8.1.0 as my recovery and rooted yesterday!
Currently running 4.4.3. What do I need to do to install 4.4.4?
Total noob here. Moto G is my first andrioid device

No, that's not weird. You get that notification, you can even download it. But it won't get installed :silly:
Does anyone have a flashable .zip ROM or a system dump for the 4.4.4 update?
But my 4.4.3 update installed seemingly correctly through CWM. I didnt witness anything out of the ordinary like any bugs.

If anyone else is also looking for a flashable zip ROM, there is a collection (including 4.4.4 version) in here:

Root 5.1.1 idea

5.1.1 idea for routing. 5.0.2 kernel extract from spell with flashtool, then root with kingroot, and then extract the 5.1.1 kernel flash. I'm using this method for old xperia z

Just for first stage boot like recovery.
But it might work. I'm pretty sure it did for me.
Why not upgrade to 5.1.1 using a pre-rooted zip?

Just install NUTS Dual Recovery then flash SuperSU
King root does not work for r/w, installing NUTS Dual Recovery will fix this

You can't install dual recovery of you're not rooted.

There is a installer which uses adb (with a PC of course) and he has kingroot, so yh!
Thanks for the edit
Link to the method you mentioned?
I tried nuts installer, didn't work because I don't have root. Bone stock 5.1.1, LB.
Tried kingroot app, didn't work. It also says on the kingroot thread that it's not compatible with 5.1.
I arrived at the conclusion that I have to downgrade, root, install recovery, then flash a prerooted image. Would love to know if there's a better way.

Hi irishrally. I'm sorry to hear that these methods aren't working but you can try to flash a 5.0.2 custom kernel and flash recovery too with fastboot then install root then flash the original kernel from a 5.1.1 ftf. Try this method and come back to me!
Thanks,
Mohamed
Edit: I am making a FTF for you with only a kernel i will link it here when I'm done.

Whoops. Never read that you are on a LB. Yes, if you are on a locked bootloader then you need to downgrade and root. install nuts dual recovery via pc, then flash a pre-rooted zip.
sorry for the confusion.
Thanks,
Mohamed

You are correct, you have to downgrade to get root access and then you can flash a pre-rooted 5.1.1 ROM.
The reason for this is the later ROM have patched the exploits used to get root access, that's why they don't work if you've already upgraded.
After you've got root don't follow the prompts to upgrade to the latest version or use the official Sony tool, doing it that way will lose root and custom recovery and you'll have to repeat the process all over again.
After you've got root use PRFCreator to make a pre-rooted flashable zip with custom recovery and flash it from the custom recovery. Use XperiFirm to grab whichever 5.1.1 version you want to use, probably a Customised one for your locale so you don't have the operator bloatware they'll add. I'm making an assumption here but if you're on the forum wanting root access I'd be surprised if you wanted bloatware.
You'll have to do this each time there is an update but that's just a cost or inconvenience of wanting root access.
I am UB. Can i install the nuts recovery via pc and install supersu from the playstore and will work?

If you had UB. Just fastboot any kernel with recovery (eg. androplus kernel). After that reboot to recovery and flash preroot zip LP 5.1.1. Simple.

I had same issues with losing root when i flashed the cf-root file direct through odin. Best thing to do is flash Twrp recovery through odin, then flash the superuser file via Twrp. Thats best way for permanant root. Good luck

Edit: after twrp-ing supersu beta 2.74 finally root is working! Thanks.

Galaxy Tab S2 (T817T) Marshmallow Update

I found this on T-Mobile's site stating the update would be available starting today. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-23647 Don't have my tablet to confirm. Has anyone with this tab checked for the update to confirm?

Thanks for confirming. I stumbled on the link just trying to see if I could find some eta on the update.
Just updated. Now time to root.
I saw this on T-Mobile's site a couple of days ago, but I'm on the fence about updating. I updated my Note 4 (910T) when MM came out and I'm used to it, but they removed the ability to alter the quick settings toggles (Samsung disabled system ui tuner) so you can no longer add hidden features like mobile data or VPN. While I can grudgingly live without it on the Note 4, I find it too handy to do without on the 817T. Unless someone finds a way around this, I'm staying put for the time being.
Just updated my T817T to MM.. thanks for the info. Updated and rooted as well with supersu 2.74

How did you root your T817T with MM? Did you already have TWRP and it was retained with the update and you just flashed SuperSu?
I flashed twrp 3.0.0.2 for t810 it works for marshmallow and then I flashed super su 2.74.
It was not retained after update. I flashed it via Odin again

I have no issues with xposed .works perfect for me with wanam's xposed V86 for MM
Success!
Since I had installed TWRP and rooted, I could not update to MM. I re-flashed back to stock 5.1.1 with Odin and then was able to update to MM.
After the update I flashed the T815 TWRP with Odin (make sure you don't auto-reboot and boot into TWRP right after flashing to make it stick). Then I flashed the SuperSu 2.76 ZIP from TWRP.
So I now have a stock rooted 6.0.1 ROM. Everything seems to work fine for me. I can use LTE and even enable the mobile hotspot.
