if ur win7 is 64bit, try to reinstall the redmi note driver as 64bit.
and use other version sp flash tool(better is v5).

Most likely driver problem.
Download : https://app.box.com/s/3am86rml3vq1hm7c6pqw
Extract and navigate to folder:
\All MTK USB Driver 2014\All MTK Drivers\New inst. win 7&8x64\
and install drivers according to your system.
If it doesnt solve problem, try other folders. Above one worked for me.
Also, try removing and reconnecting USB cable several times until you see red/yellow bar. It worked for me!

Firstly you have to install update.zip extract it from the rar/zip you have download and copy that file in the root of your sd card.
Also check if you have download the file properly and there are no spaces in between the name of the file.
And lastly try using a 2+ recovery.

try a different recovery version and follow the steps leoposas wrote in his thread
Did you flashed the downloaded file directly or did you opened the zip and deleted any stuff in that?
Sent from my LG-GT540 using xda premium
No, I didn't modify any files in it.
What is your recovery version
Sent from my LG-GT540 using xda premium
The "bad error" is probably an indicator of a corrupted zip archive. It maybe got corrupted during download, or during transferring to phone. For download try using different browser or a download manager. For transferring to phone make sure that coping is finished without any errors.
It's a problem with a microSD card
Are you able to install it now

How to convert kdz rom to zip rom

Hi, Can anyone tell me how to convert kdz rom to zip ROM?
Sent from my LG-P700 using xda premium
Firstly u need to extract KDZ file with LGExtract. It will extract cab file and dz file within. Then u needs to extract boot.img and system.img with DZDecrypt, but to get boot.img u need to use 0.5 version. For system.img use 1.0 version. If u have that 2 files, download dsixda kitchen and follow what screen says

Sry, you meant you can't extract cabinet file? Remove cab file integration in 7zip and it will open in windows explorer.

Yes. I have done so, but I still do not unzip the file. cab. I have tried the following in cmd:
D: \ LG \ lgextract-KDZ F180K20K_00.kdz
after it is completed, I get the file F180K20K_00.cab
Next, I used the command:
D: \ LG \ 7z x (or e) F180K20K_00.cab
and I get the error message: Error: Can not open file as archive
After all, I've tried many versions and 7z LGExtract but they all failed. So what is the reason? Does windows version?
p / s: sorry for my english is very bad.

I've read that thread before. But I can not unzip the file. Cab with 7zip or winrar.
In case 2, used to extract UpTestEX.exe. KDZ ->. dz, I can not unzip it. 2 dz by DZextract and DZDecrypt tool.
The reason is that the OS version or ROM version?
Sorry, I just recently see that you're trying to extract F180 (Optimus G)'s firmware. These methods are only for first generation of L series (L3, L5, L7). It certainly won't work on newer phones. (Yes, although the format is still kdz, the extracting method will differ between devices).

No. You don't use anyone ROM in computer. You only can mod, cook it. Demo just on the phone. The dev-app can use Android Studio/eclipse.

From Cyanogenmod to original google rom

Hello, Can somebody help me, how to return from Cyanogenmod to original google rom on Nexus 7 (2013).
Thanks for help.
You should of made a backup of your original rom. If so just back up it in recovery
If not connect it to the computer and use the nexus 7 toolkit to flash stock ROM ( its like that for the nexus 4 ) so I'm guessing itd be the Same

Sent from my C6833 using xda app-developers app
Very easy. Go here to download the stock ROM. There's a "flash-all.bat" batch file within that will do a full wipe, restoring the stock ROM as well as the stock recovery. This doesn't relock the bootloader, so afterward you can reflash a custom recovery if you so choose.

But, Have I to install JDK, Android SDK to do this?
Or just plug-in device to PC and use .bat ?

No need for the JDK or SDK. You'll need something like 7-Zip or WinRAR to extract it the file, then extract the file again. But after that you'll be able to run the batch file from its own folder; it'll have everything it needs.

Saw this post when trying to find my hard bricked solution. My phone is dead no lights nothing. When I put the battery in and connect I am getting Qualcomm as stated in all the posts 9008.
It is detected using QFIL but I do not have the correct files I believe. I need
rawprogram0.xml
patch0.xml
prog_emmc_firehose_xxxx.mbn
I am not sure what to do here. I have downloaded some files but I believe the wrong phone type.
Help...... please

I am in a similar situation as you. What I found out is that the *.tar.md5 file can actually contain mbn files. I used winrar to extract them. It still did not do the trick for QFIL as it is missing the xml files.

Did you ever find the XML files?
I have the same exact problem and was going to extract the mbn from a stock rom, but that's pointless without them.
