I activated it and even received a SMS from airtel, confirming the activation. But when I check the balance, it still shows me my 2G balance. Also, when I use Internet, the data is being used from my 2G pack only. And hence, I am getting 2G speed only.
Is it because I activated this while I already had a 2G pack active? Please help, friends.

While I activated it,I was having around 50mb 3g data, after activating the offer I got the message of success, but it isn't being showed in my data balance, instead it still shows 50mb.However I have used around 500mb at a speed of 300KB/s.so I mean to say that the offer's data is not shown in data balance....!

firs of all change the network to 3g and then if you are still getting the 2g speed then use all of your 2g data and then you will get the 3g data. The 3g data will not be shown in your balance but it is there .I suggest you to keep your airtel balance zero in case you don't wanna take any risk

I think what you suggested might work. After I use up my 2G Data, hopefully I do get it.

Strange I used the SIM from my Vodafone Datacard and it works fine in my Jasjar.
I can also make voice calls, however there is a much higher charge

I have it working. Set up a new GPRS connection in settings/connections with APN=internet and username=web and password=web.
Works a treat. U in the status bar means it has detected 3G, G in the status bar means GPRS only.

I don't have it I'm just telling you what i've found after talking with some friends that have it (but not on a jasjar).
It all depends on if your sim card is ona data only price plan, if it is then you wont get voice calls, give vodafone customer serivces a call to confirm

Thoose settings are for vodafone portugal, in other countries you have to check their webpage and confirm...
In portugal pay as you go and monthly are the same settings... if you have an clubimate account you can download the settings for your operator...
I already download the settings.
I have the right configuration because it works with my regular phone sim...
But with this sim i have huge price on data trafic.
I also owna a vodafone 3g data card and have a fixed price for 10GB montly..
I just switch the sim on jasjar to the dataonly and it doesnt work....
With my regular sim it works fine....

I even can make voice calls and this should be a data only very nice...

As this was discussed a while ago can someone please confirm that I can use a Vodafone 3G Datacard simcard (data only) with my O2 XDA EXEC (currently used with a O2 simcard) ?
When Vodafone Datacard Simcard is used with XDA EXEC as well as data, can I use it :
1) to sent and receive text messages
2) Make and receive Voice calls
Of course data is the most important requirement but useful to know if I can do other things too.

i recently got a unlocked mytouch 4g to use in my country (Belize)... phone works great but when i try to access mobile data it shows connected but there is no data availability on the phone.. i have had it flashed and still have the problem.. any info on it out there??

Make sure the sim card is the same as the US sim card. When i went to india, mobile data wouldn't work for me either (calls worked), i have no idea why because the sim card was the same as my T-Mobile one. Try asking the carrier

yea i had it taken to the carrier here and well they weren't much help but say that it was the phone itself.. the sim card are the same... the only thing that is left is to flash the radio which i will have done later today
The radio won't matter. These are most likely wrong APN settings and/or incompatible carrier UMTS bands.
Did you check the APN?? What letter is showing ej E, H, 3G? Am think is wrong APN bc is was incompatible band you could not make or recive calls

I've been using it on tmo since yesterday. Solid signal, very stable so far. I ran speedtest this morning and got 56 up\26 down. The speed is crazy fast.
To get the Note 4 working on Verizon:
1. Change the APN setting.

2. Change the network mode to Global in Mobile networks (same place where you set the APN)
3. Change the voice mail number.
-Open the Phone app, click on the 3 dot Menu button, go to Settings, select Call, select Voice Mail Setting, and change the number from *86 to 123.
-I use Google Voice, so I just switch mine to Google Voice.
4. If touch tone DTMF is not working for you, try to turn of noise reduction or change the DTMF from Short to Long.
5. To get rid of the annoying SIM message in the notification. Tap, hold the message and select App Info then force close it. Do this every time you reboot the phone.

Good to know. I'll be taking this bad boy to Asia next month. Sounds like it'd be a no problem sticking a new sim card as long as I get the APN down ?

how to remove Verizon bloatware
I'm using the Verizon note 4 with the T Mobile SIM card and it works well, it connects to 4G LTE, but I cannot use mobile hotspot because its integrated with Verizon's services. All the APN settings are fine but it says mobile number not found.
Does anyone know how to remove all of the Verizon bloatware? Things such as the Playstore and settings even have Verizon bloat. Data Usage tool also does not work either.
Also to note, whenever i reboot the phone a permanent notification apoears saying something like, "Sim card is not Verizon," which can only be removed if you force close the activation agent. Its annoying that Verizon left its mark throughout parts of the phone.
Is it possible to make this a Regular galaxy note 4?
(Another weird thing is that the settings menu cannot be switched to carousel mode which the T-Mobile version can do.)

I think T-Mobile sims for lte should use
fast.t-mobile.com
also make sure you do have LTE in your area.
I did it on Galaxy S5 for someone and it was fine.

I'm not near a computer at the moment but i tried uploading screenshots of the APN settings. I am in Los Angeles and get about 15mbps down and up. Remember to set the radios to global as well.

To get rid of that notification, press and hold it until the App Info window appears. Hit that window then you'll go to the Activation Agent app settings. Push "Force Close" and it will disappear.
Nice and easy but the only problem is that you have to do this every time you restart your phone.

Does your phone have a clean esn from verizon or is it considered a "bad esn" (lost phone)? Just curious if they work outside verizon with bad esn.

It depends if your market uses LTE band 4. Probably though.
Also, it looks like (once root is achieved) you'll be able to add more LTE bands.
Do we lose frequencies when we use a verizon phone on tmobile? Doesn't seem to have band 12.

Shouldn't be an issue since AT&T and T-Mobile primarily use band 4. The other bands are for additional bandwidth if there is congestion and T-Mobile uses band 12 in limited markets.

Do you know if i can use data with sim 1 and sim 2 in same time, or the sim 2 is just to have another phone number and not specialize for data.
I have search, and it seems tha the sim 2 is not in LTE for the data but only GPRS/EDGE, that does not really interest me, does someone has test that ?

4G Data works on both SIMS! The SIM where data is enabled will automatically switch to 4g/3g/2g and the other SIM will revert to 3G/2G. There is no restriction on where you wanna use 4G.
This is same with most of dual SIM phones as of now.

I have op8 pro in2023 with Android 11 with two sim cards
1st one for call and it use 3g network and 2nd for internet by using 4g lte...
One I am going to do call by sim one , I immediately lose the data connection permanently just like there is no signal in sim2 at all !
I can recover that by restart or simply by activate and de activate aeroplane mode!
Please any suggestion

But the 2nd sim should resume his work automatically after the end of call from 1st sim right? Mine did not work at all till i restart or just activite and de activte the air plane. Mode.

I've got two sims also. Tell me what setup you have , I know you mentioned sim one is for calls and 3G? And sim 2 is for data only? I don't see an option on here. I have a global setting for 3g 4g 5g etc and then I also have a default option to state voice or data for each line as a preference.

I used every method to solve this issue through 4 days and I really hate One plus for that annoying BUT
some one told me I should activate the VOLTE through setting , but unfortunately I didnt find this option too !
