[GUIDE] fix connectivity on android 5.0! - Xperia SP General

Hello,
Finally a fix has arrived for android 5.0 which will allow wi-fi data, outgoing calls, ... to work again
Steps:
1: Make sure your device is running android 5.0 by mrsteve555: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...ader-users-t2868398/post56946968#post56946968
2: root the device by flashing this file: http://download.chainfire.eu/589/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.16.zip
3: Reboot your device and open up terminal emulator
4: type su, press enter and give it root acces
5: type setenforce 0 and press enter
6: WAIT untill the device asks you to enter your sim pin (this means that it worked)
7: turn on wi-fi (it might take a little long to turn on wi-fi though)
8: that's it
9: well not yet there is one step you can do to make it easier to change the selinux state, Download and install this app:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mrbimc.selinux&hl=en
10: again make sure your device is rooted
11: open the app and now you can switch between permissive (this mode is the one that fixed the issues) and enforcing (default mode: wi-fi, ... don't work on this mode)
FAQ:
What is not affected (what doesn't work): The camera (can't connect to camera or hot reboot when launching camera app), more?
What is affected (what is fixed): WI-FI, Data (LTE too) Outgoing calls, more?
Do i have to do this everytime i boot my device: Yes for now you do
On what build does it run: mrsteve555's build, there were 2 reports of it not working on bagy's build
Credits:
Mrsteve555 and bagyusz for the amazing rom

Which build are you using? Which one is more stable and faster?

When I tried su setenforce 0, nothing happened.. I mean it directly went to the next line in Term. It never asked for SIM pin and didn't fix the issues Did I do something wrong?

It is normal that it doesn't output anyting you should just leave it on the terminal screen and wait (it shouldn't take longer than a minute) btw what build are you using? the one by bagyusz or the one by mrsteve555?

My idea is to replace the lock screen data with an empty null data
and the phone will be restored to basic slide to unlock
and from here, you can access your phone and insert new password or pin or pattern...etc
without format or modify any data "settings, media, apps, Rom data ..etc"
So what is it ?
It's a zip file that bypass any unlock screen
-Pattern
-Pin
-Password
-Face
How
Just flash it with CWM
[BACKUP FIRST]
Why to use it?
So you forgot you pass? no need for format..
just download it on external SD-Card then flash it CWM
Happy bypass guys :good:-

This is good. I ever tried bypassing pattern by removing something from /data/system, it works. But as I remember it won't work for all roms (as I can't seem to bypass some AOSP based roms)
Nice
Nice idea. Does this work on Stock only or also AOSP ROMs? Don't they have different paths?

Yup. But would be greater if it is signed with Google's certificate. So, we can flash it even with stock recovery
Can this also be used to overcome the lock screen pin/pwd requirement of Androids stock encryption?
I think it could be.

works nice but:

Hmmm. The rom works flawlessly, apart from Bluetooth audio. Music plays in slow motion and off-key, with stuttering.
I tried fixing it myself, but I absolutely don't know what I'm doing. I tried replacing all libaudio.so's with the ones from a working CM11 rom, but that only caused a bootloop
Does anyone know where to find the original author's (Ivan) thread? I really can't wait for the next update...

If you have the proper baseband, Yes you can flash. Otherwise, NO!!
Just want to double check before flashing.
I have 5.0.2 stock D6503, rooted. Bell (locked bootloader)
If I launch into recovery using the Kinguser app (reboots phone into a recovery) ,can I flash this rom safely from there?
I've never flashed or done anything with the basebands. But just in case, how would I double check it is stock?
Thanks in advance!

Finally, thank you so much for the first aosp ROM
I can not get contact to a moderator, if anyone could move this thread to Xperia Z2/Android Development, this would be nice!
Actually, the pure AOSP builds have root rights, they only work via terminal emulator or adb shell. I managed to get Gapps and SuperSU working on my build by temporarily flashing CM12.1 boot.img to get to the recovery and flashing them. But it isn't exactly usable, as the Google config screen is constantly getting FC'd. Well, that's Sony for you .

Yeah you could try that too here, do you use Marshmallow as a daily driver?

Nope, I'd probably do but there are two major problems - the Gapps FC's and the delayed lockscreen. And I had to compile it TWICE, making the mistake of typing the NUMBER in and not the NAME, I've been compiling the generic version for almost 8 hours. So yeah, I'm waiting for Sony's Marshmallow or CM13.

As I said, I did not test it. Please test and report, I will change it if it's not correct.
It must be Testing because kernel 3.10 is warned highly experimental on fxpblog (fxp is a part of Sony Developer Program)
its stable! no bugs?
some screenshot?

Changed to testing, thanks for the information.
Okay, so here is my Impression with this ROM after a first use:
- SIM does not work for me (no mobileconnection in general)
- Wifi does work
- SD card does not work
- Camera was not tested -> could not download an app due to playstore missing and SD not working properly
Any progress?
