Gameloft is giving away free games for apple, google devices all this month. Everyday is a new free game. The last 2 days were apple games, and today is a free HD game for android. Its dungeon Hunter. Its pretty much a Diablo II game for Android. Thanks! When I followed that link, the offer was on the screen, but the default device (the original Droid) was selected. As soon as I changed the selection though, it switches to Asphalt 5 (which I don't think is free).
So I reloaded the page and just left it on Droid, typed in my phone # and it sent me the link to download Dungeon Hunter (though, it makes no mention of HD after you download it). Looks great though!

Hi, i just wanted everyone to know that the sony xperia play game Star Battalion HD works perfectly on the htc tmobile g2.
Just switch the controls from controler to touchscreen.
Unfortunatly you cannot buy it from your g2 on the gameloft site. I got mine from somewhere else. Version 3.1.6.
Its a really sweet game.
Add manifestation as a gameloft friend. I want to team up and play this online with someone. It is the first co op online multiplayer android game.

I think you need to contact GameLoft...
you cant buy it is because their doing exclusivity with games apps on xperia play the same way they did with droid 1 until Google release the Nexus one.
Wow, I tested the device and am loving it. However I didn't see too many games for it. And clue where to find them?

Not too much is out there yet. If you search the Market for "Xperia play" you should find a few. I suspect that the big slew of games will come with the E3 in two weeks.

although a lot of the gameloft games still lag e.g. backstab which is exclusive for the play at the moment...

same here no lag on any gloft games, maybe ashpalt 6, but only a little when things get mad lol

try killing all active applications before launching the game.
I had frame rate issues the other night with asphalt6 and after killing most active tasks it ran fine.
If you go to the Xperia Play app, either by launching it or opening the slider, you can hit the Market button at the top right of the app which will take you to the Android Market. It does a search for "XPERIA PLAY optimized" and gives you the results.
There are tons of normal games that work with the gamepad also.

I believe they are just on their website. Or if you have a Verizon PLAY, they are available right in the VCast store if you wanted to use that instead.
one thing id like to see if a sorta xperia play website, with forums and community features.
like the N-Gage had.
i dont know where to go for news on the xperia play. is there a official blog i just cant find?

I prefer from Gamelofts website.
You can add the price of purchase to your phone bill, meaning you do not have to give credit card details to random person on market place.
One reason i have never bought anything from marketplace is that you can not purchase through phone bill.

Not specifically xperia related, but I thought the community here might be interested.
Amazon's free app of the day (9/29/2011) is Symphony of Eternity. It's an RPG in the style of 16 bit greats like Final Fantasy VI. I played a few minutes of it, and it seemed pretty cool.

It is kinda Xperia related too, since you can use the Xperia PLAY controls for some of it's maneuvering.

That's far, far from the truth IMO. Eternity isn't even the finest released by kemco since Eve of the Genesis was released. Then there's eternal legacy which has been extremely ambitious and rewarding, then an absolute deluge of quality action rpgs from gamevil. Gailardia brings some classic dragon quest style gaming in the mix, and there's likely even more I could grab from my list when I'm on the full version of this site.
Point is, Xperia PLAY has quite a nice arrangement of RPGs for being as new as it is.

Amazon App Store free app of the day is great.
I've got so many useful apps, paid games and Xplay optimised games for free from it.
Amazon aotd needs a separate voting system to oust the sh*tty apps speedily.
I wish they didn't limit the offer to only US. Anyone knows how to use it from Europe please?
