my dfs progress - Sharp Aquos Crystal

Received my boost aquos crystal today. Was hoping to dfs it to page plus as easy as the moto g, but was unsuccessful. I was able to read all normal values using dfs, just not write.
Process:
Entered diag mode using ##diag#.
Installed sharp drivers. (I will attach).
Updated 306sh drivers using Device Manager in windows. Select driver "I know location" or whatever. Chose "show all drivers". Scroll to Sharp Corporation. Select USB diag driver.
Open in dfs. ( I got my Spc code from boost by registering my device on their website to my account. Don't worry, they dount make you pay. Choose your plan, create a new phone number or whatever needed. Doesn't matter... They call it MSL code.)
Entered Spc in dfs and was able to read all info.... But nothing I wrote saved.
In the phone's ##diag# screen, I'd I selected the serial option, I installed the drivers... Same results.
I also force installed my moto RAZR m xt907 drivers (also msm Qualcomm) but same results.
Hope this helps someone with something.
let me know if the link works https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B2YrFGY95PiIeklOT1VVRU5QVGs&export=download

Hey guys I just found this thread. I am a CDMA Programmer and I wouldn't mind tinkering with this phone. Did it come with stock drivers embedded in the phone? Most do or sometimes you need to get adb driver packs for it. I am willing to help as I have DFS, CDMA Workshop, QPST and more. Please lmk what the current progress is on your end and I'll go ahead and share what I find when the phone arrives at my house. Let's get this rollin again!

Ok I just ordered a bad esn one from eBay. Is it easy to get the msl code for it aside from activation? That's gonna be a big pain the @$$ if it's not like the Samsung or HTC.

OK guys so I just got my Sharp Aquos today and I have to say, WHAT A PIECE OF ART!!!! But I have started to work on it now. Did have some issues with it but I got it working. Managed to get into a hidden menu to do a RTN reset of it and now trying to get Diag Drivers. I got my MSL courtesy of an hour of research that surly paid off. So next step: connection to CDMA Workshop! Let me know what drivers you have found that work for this for the coms.

CDMA WS / QPST Not Detecting Phone

I have read a few threads where people claimed to have made a connection with Sony Ericsson Xperia Play via CDMA Workshop and QPST. I have visited the official site from Sony and downloaded the drivers. Still no luck picking up the device on QPST or CDMA. I have installed Gordan's Gate's drivers and still no luck. Can someone point me in the right direction to getting the play detected? I have the R800X version already unlocked and rooted...
Note: I can successfully flash my device to CM7, and the other custom stuff. Thank so much to Ash, Mills, Doom and everyone else with so much helpful information....

simple buddy all you gotta do is open your phone dialer like if your gonna make a call and hit ##3424 and ht call itll take u back to your home screen its normal if it does attempt a call u did it wrong
after that if your using win 7 itll auto download the drivers this is to make a DIAG port if using diff os not sure look for the drivers on google
after that go into your device manager on your computer and look for what port number it gave you and go back to cdma and connect read and write spc is 000000 no extra steps are needed for the spc code
ps try to do it running stock rom because some users remove DIAG on customs roms why alot of people have trouble
Oh no! I have to install windows 7 because I am currently on windows XP (don't tell nobody!). I have been to the sony site and downloaded the PC companion and all 4 driver sets hoping it would be enough to get QPST to recognize my device. Still nothing, I can however connect with fastboot, flashtool, adb, but no luck with QPST detecting the phone no matter what I do.
If anyone out there have XP drivers for QPST that will detect the Xperia Play please share!

try these out make sure you got usb debugging on and hit ##3424 and hit the call button itll take you back to the home screen and when it tells you to locate drivers unzip my rar file and put them like on the desktop or something and try it out
qpst has nothing to do with it for the most prt you need drivers for the DIAG diagnostics mode only then will qpst will detect the phone

Your drivers are missing .inf file and ##3424 isn't working for SE phones.

LIKE I SAID GRAB THE DRIVERS AND HIT ##3424
if it connects perfect to cdma workshop so will qpst
want more proof?
Okay it looks as if you both are right lol. I just realize my laptop don't have a Com Port and that may make a difference. I will install the drivers and ADB on my desktop tomorrow. Since I am running CM7 I will use the shell command to get to the enable file.
Thanks for the pictures! I noticed that I had the same stuff you had Edo except the Com port device. Oh and in stock I was able to do the 3424 code, but in CM7 it made a phone call lol.
Thanks Blag when I did the echo enable command on my laptop it booted me out of adb but I didn't have a com port lol.
Thank you guys for so much help!

You know, guess I'll have to quit it.
My phone's USB PID is E15D and it's not listed anywhere in inf files and I can't even start instalation via device manager. When I manually edit PID in inf to E15D, instalation fails with message install class is not present or valid.
EDIT: OK, after more editing I successfully installed it, but QPST still can't detect it (it's GSM R800i).
EDIT 2: Got it working in the end thanks for your drivers
huh those werent pulled from my computer they were downloaded from website thats how i was able to install the drivers there not attached to my phone in any way

I am the only unlucky person in the world! I think it is because I am still on windows XP. I will no longer put off installing Windows 7. Them drivers are not working for me at all. I just get the sony ericsson device with adb drivers showing up in my device manager. The other devices there are SEC HUSUB and they always have that problem symbol, the one with the yellow question mark. I try to install the drivers from their location and I get the message they don't have any information pertaining to the hardware.
Thanks though!
you have to manually edit inf files.

Virgin mobile intercept and cdma workshop

When you connect a VM intercept into PC how do get it into modem mode? What ## code do I use? Ex: moment = ##8778# and the epic is ##8778# I've tried it but it did not work... I'm looking to back up my NV items and I have cdma workshop 3.7 any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA Premium App
Curious about this as well. On the Epic you do this to get it into modem mode and then you can read it.
This intercept the best I can do is get it with the drivers where I can just see it as a modem and not actually read the phone itself.
Hey guys..
I was having some trouble with this too.
Here is the solution:
1. (If you already have your MSL/SPC, skip this step)
You have to have your MSL/SPC 6 digit code. This is not easy to come by since you can't connect your Intercept as a modem to read it with Cdma Workshop or QPST. You could call VM and ask, but I doubt they'll give it to you.
However there is a workaround:
Download this APK:
http://www.mediafire.com/?jjjynwp2y65ephj
It's a little app called ConnectBot. Once installed, in the lower left hand corner, where it says SSH, change that to "Local".. Then put anything in the text box you want.
When the command prompt comes up, type the command "getprop ril.MSL" and hit enter.
This should give you your MSL/SPC 6 digit code!
2. Dial ##PORT#, enter your MSL/SPC, and make sure both options are set to "modem" and not "pda"
3. You are gonna need additional drivers to access the phone as a modem. On Windows 7, it tries to install, then prompts you to download "Samsung PC Studio 3"
DO NOT INSTALL The one it suggests! Instead install this one:
http://www.mediafire.com/?k7pxzu3uc03nepn
This program will install the drivers you need.
Any questions just ask,
Kev

The 6.2 driver set has signed versions for these device interfaces so no force loading should be required and they should install automatically when the phone is connected in BP Tools mode with USB debugging enabled.
Make note of the port number assigned to the COM Port as that is the port you will use for CDMA WS or DFS or any other QC based NV access tool.
The QC Interface is the Motorola QC Diag Port.
Right click and choose Update Drivers then choose Do not load drivers automatically. Allow me to choose from a list of available devices.
Scroll down to Ports: COM/LPT and then Motorola and then Motorola QC Diag Port.
It will warn about unsigned drivers, just click Install anyway and it will load the driver and show up with a COM port number assigned.
Use that COM port for CDMA WS to edit the NV.
If you continue to have problems, I suggest reflashing the firmware or just the modem and fsg.mbn in fastboot, and starting over.

THIS WORKS WITH THE LATEST UPDATE!!!! THANK YOU dreamliner2012 FOR RUNNING IT THROUGH AND CLARIFYING!
THE ORIGINAL METHODS STILL WORK FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO USE RADIOCOMM AND DFS INSTEAD!
ALL CREDITS TO CELLZEALOT'S THREAD AND ARNOLD SNARB'S POST
GIVE THEM YOUR PROPER THANKS!!!
this was done with stock bootloader, rom, no root, official EVERYTHING
video tutorial HERE
heres the quick rundown -
1: get the Motorola QC Diagnostics driver to install. hard with Win7 x64, but be diligent it does work.
2: boot your XT907/XT926 into BP Tools mode (Vol Up and Down + Power, scroll down to BP Tools hit Vol Up)
3: connect to your computer *duh*
4: open CDMA WS 2.7 or higher (google)
5: connect to your COM Port and press CONNECT
6: click the SECURITY tab and enter 000000 as SPC and click SEND
7: click the MAIN tab and click READ *dunno if you need to but I did for safe measure*
8: click the MEMORY tab and select READ under NV ITEMS. dismiss the SPC prompt
9: First Item to read is 8322. Last Item to read is 8323. click SAVE and name the .txt file whatever you want, just remember where you put it
10: open the .txt file you just saved and under 8322 you will see 01 00 00 00 00 etc. change 01 to 00 and save the .txt file. DONT CHANGE 8323!!!
11: back in CDMA WS click WRITE under NV ITEMS. dismiss the SPC prompt again
12: find the .txt file you just edited and click OK
13: reboot the phone and put in your preferred Sim
14: in Settings go to More... under Wireless Networks and change your Network Mode to GSM/UMTS
15: SUCK IT VERIZON
happy days ahead for all!
don't forget that THANKS button :victory:

---from cellzealot on how to load Win7 x64 drivers---
cellzealot said:
Here is a screenshot of Device Manager on my PC on WIN7 64 bit with the latest 6.2 Motorola USB drivers and my XT907 connected in BP Tools mode with all of the interfaces highlighted.
There are 3 modems, 1 network device and 1 COM port that should be present and installed.
If you continue to have problems, I suggest reflashing the firmware or just the modem and fsg.mbn in fastboot, and starting over.

should be able to just take out the sim and change everything back in Mobile Network settings.
This is the same method that has been posted for a long time. The only difference is that the old method used RadioComm.

Edit: I have been informed that the RadioComm and DFS methods still work with the latest updates as well. I just thought I would post a different method for anyone who wanted an easier interface to work with.
if this isnt helpful to anyone, fine. then ill send a request to remove it. not gonna step on anyone elses tutorial-territory

Yeah this method is a bit easier, given RadioComm's daunting interface. What version of CDMA WS did you use? The website lists Free/Lite/Ultimate, but it's not clear if that's just determined by the key that you enter.

Its already a World Phone, there's no need to do this for any carrier outside of U.S, but yes it will

Yes, my GSM SIM worked fine on stock and based on stock roms, but when I tried CM 10.2 for xt926 (Android 4.3) it just couldn't find my mobile network. CM 10.2 for xt925 finds network but can't connect to them automaticly or manually, so I want to try this tutorial for CM10.2 for xt926.

There's a patch for the gsm but people are reporting no luck so far with CM 10.2 4.3 based ROMs on the Razr M. This method does not help that but if you find out otherwise id like to know
My phone xt926 is working on PacMans ROM. I followed these instructions. Did a full wipe including system. Installed the PacMan Gsm ROM. Everything but UMTS works. Edge data works fine.
UMTS works fine with the stock ROM. I wonder if of is a seem edit or build prop issue to get it working on AOSP ROMs

Flash Me, maybe?
I now have HSPA+ working on my phone with PacMan.
In case anyone is interested in either thanking me for being brilliant or roast me for sucking at searching for pre existing solutions, I'll post my steps here.
1. Flash to stock using RSD Lite and the newest Verizon files from here http://sbf.droid-developers.org/vanquish/list.php
2. Follow the instructions from either this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2389740 or this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2166542 I used the RadioComm method because screw drivers
3. Ensure the new gsm sim is registered and working on the network.
4. Download the your favorite ROM. I am using the PacMan 4.3
5. In recovery wipe everything including the system, cache and dalvik cache
6. Install Rom and wipe cache again
7. Boot, login, and download Viaero 4g toggle or press *#*#4636#*#* and change the phone to GSM/wcdma (prl).
8. Add this to your bulid.prop thanks to mattwheat at droidrzr.com. http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/t...et-data-and-smsmms-working-on-xt926-422-roms/
Edit build props to reflect this :
ro.carrier= T-Mobile (or your carrier)
ro.telephony.default_network = 9
telephony.rilV7NeedCDMALTEPhone = false
8. ????????
9. Profit
I hope this helps.
can anyone confirm if this is working with the 9.18.94 on the HD??
Problems!!!
I am using Win7 32b and I already installed everything moto drivers, the CDMA and put my phone on BP mode, but for some reason the program does not detect the port, why? What can I do?

Can you use attached - just use password oriax123 and choose scan. Then change method from NV to HTC. Finally click Read SPC - your MSL is the 6 digit code which is output.
Need to put phone in DIAG (##3424#) and then connect phone to PC. I used WIndows 10 x64, however, YMMV.

After entering the DM Command Service (##3424#), did you activate "DM" mode? Because if you didn't, the Basic Flasher won't find your phone. After clicking "Scan", log should show "HTC Diagnostic Interface" and a (COM X). Click "Connect" and you should see "Device Connected." Change Method to "HTC" and click "Read SPC". MSL should show up next to "SPC:".
When I ran this program, it threw a Microsoft C++ Framework error. Just click "Continue" and program will still work.

After getting the MSL directly from the Bootloader (Basic Flasher could not connect... and getting it from the bootloader took a looooong time) I'm now stuck with the NV tools. Same problem, can't connect to COM 3. (Or any other port.)

How'd you get your MSL directly from the Bootloader? I don't remember seeing it displayed in the bootloader screens. I couldn't get Basic Flasher to find my phone on any COM port until I activated DM Mode. If you did that and it still didn't see it, don't know what could be the problem. Are you able to run adb commands on your phone from CMD window without any issue?
