New firmware 23.0.1.A.4.30 according to ptcrb.com - Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact General

I was checking ptcrb.com, looking at the mobile versions of the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and it seems there is a new update certified:

Anyone knows if we can download and flash this firmware with Flashtool?

I wonder what's it for. I haven't had any problem as it is but. people are complaining about not having multi user but what I really care for now it's root. don't get me wrong news some times are good and we will see lets hope it's something good

Strangely, XperiaFirm lists this update for Xperia Z2 Tablet SGP512 Japanese VMo version:
Code:
Device: Xperia Z2 Tablet (SGP512)
CDA: 1285-4559
Market: Japan
Operator: VMo JP
Network: JAPAN-WIFI32G
Release: 23.0.1.A.4.30 / R3B
Size: 1,14 GB
I'm currently downloading it but a bit afraid to try on my Z2 Tablet as even PC Companion does not notify this update...
Someone can confirm if it works?

OK, just to close this: it works!
So this 23.0.1.A.4.30 firmware (exact same as Z3) is heading to Z2 Tablet at least...

Thanks for your sharing! I'd like using the general nordic for my sony phones.
Max
Small note: this version is the most generic of them all. I updated mine using EMMA today , and it moved me from Vodafone Australia right to this one.

I got a 1270-7280 Z on loan from a Sony device loaner program, AFAIK just available in Canada & US. It goes through some intermediate company though.
So seems a good bet to be pretty generic.
Thanks for this.

Most likely. I'd exclude the baseband though. Might as well just flash this one though. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2452166
i think its also worth putting in the OP that you need both files
Please fix for the signal wifi....
Sent from my C6603 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I can confirm that this works on Sony Xperia Z (C6606). I flashed from the latest T-Mobile 4.1.X (i forgot) to Greece 4.2.2. Still maintains 100% functionality. 4G LTE is still available. This would be the recommended FTF for all those T-Mobile Xperia Zs with locked bootloaders. In FlashTool though, I checked exclude Baseband.
This firmware does come with a lot of bloatware though, including Mcafee, wisepilot, neoreader, and several others.
This was done with flashtool-0.9.13.0-windows.exe
When phone booted up it actually gave me a selection of either USA or Tmobile and I chose tmobile and it downloaded the settings for SMS/MMS. everything is working flawlessly, thank you for the post.

Yes, VMo EU4 is the one that is being sold in the Benelux. However, please note that this one is only for the Wi-Fi 32GB model (SGP312), not for the Wi-Fi 16GB (SGP311) and LTE 16GB (SGP321) models.

Many thanks; mine are te good model : Wi-Fi 32GB model (SGP312), and at the time of purchase, it was a little more afordable on redcoon than others shops.
Got the update today via PCC. Only thing I've noticed so far is that using BT and WIFI at the same time is more stable and the shutdown time is drastically shorter. Anyone seen a changelog?
These links don't work anymore. Could someone please reupload them?

[FTF] Xperia Z1 Compact D5503 5.1.1 stock firmwares

The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is an Android smartphone produced by Sony. The Z1 Compact has a 4.3 inch display and is released as a cheaper and smaller version of the Xperia Z1 which features a 5-inch display.
The Japanese version of the Z1 Compact, dubbed the Sony Xperia Z1 f (SO-02F), was unveiled on 10 October 2013 and was released on 19 December 2013 exclusively for NTT DoCoMo. The international Z1 Compact was subsequently unveiled during a press conference at CES 2014 in Las Vegas on 6 January 2014 and was first released in Sweden on 24 January 2014; entering more markets in February and March 2014.
Like its larger sibling, the Z1 Compact is waterproof and dust proof, and has an IP rating of IP55 and IP58. The key highlight of the Z1 Compact is its 20.7 megapixel Exmor RS camera, paired with Sony's in-house G lens and its image processing algorithm, called BIONZ. The phone also comes with a dedicated shutter button and has an aluminum uni body design, with a glass front and plastic rear. The product white paper for this device was updated in mid-February 2014 to reflect the use of plastic on the rear panel, rather than the initially reported glass.
