[Q] Remapping Function to Search Button (Wildfire)

Hi there all,
There might be some answer to my question somewhere lying under some other issue/title. But I can't think of close possibility, so m posting a new thread here.
It's about Remapping the 4th semi-hard Search button (w/ a magnifying glass icon) or any other button to default (or any other function).
I have WildPuzzle Rom 8.0.8 which working all fine except with some messed up Google App. One of those app is Google Search (com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox.apk) which initially was link to the Button I mentioned above. So whenever I used that little button (either on home screen or web browser), it crashes and FC. I try reinstalling Google Search app but failed/restricted to override.
I found out, GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk in /data/app/ folder is causing the problem, so I get rid of it with the help of Root Browser. After that Google Search app from market installed with no problem. No more FC.
That's the git of my current situation. Now here is the real problem. The magnifying glass Search Button lost default link to Google Search App. How do I remap it? I have installed Open Search & Voice Search, which I can bring up by Long Pressing that Search Button. But Single Press Search is gone.
I'm guessing I only need to either fix the link or place the right file in right folder. I can do simple coding (when necessary) if you can guide me a bit.
Thanks for anyone who can help me in advance.
Anyone can help?
Just remapping magnifying button to do default Google search thing.
Thanks.

Search button (menu long press)...

Hi,
I am just setting up an Xperia Arc S for someone and have a few questions...
Coming from an Xperia Play, I have a dedicated search button. The long press on the Xperia Arc S appears to behave differently to this button.
For example, when using Launcher 7 as my Launcher, the keyboard pops up, but the Google Search does not pop up with it. Typing on the keyboard does nothing.
When in a certain app, PlayerPro for example...the long press menu brings up some unusual search instead of the standard search in the app.
Is there anyway to fix the above to suit my needs?
Thank you.

i have a question: if i slide my finger from lg logo (on the bottom of the smartphone) until the softkey home, some icons come out, and the icons are for search on google and take a quick memo. i'd like to know if i can add other apps or links into that semi-circle, like unlock menu of jb cyanogenmod.
sorry for bad english, and thanks for the attention

You can modify Ringpad by Xposed+G2 tweaksbox.
If you just want replace Google, you can try "swipe up utility" "swipe up and lock" in Google Play

T-Mobile version of 6t missing features?

I recently bought the T-Mobile variant of the OnePlus 6t and I was watching a video about some features that could be turned on and one of the features they were talking about was a long press the power button to activate Google Assistant when I go into settings and go to the button and gestures tab there is no option to turn on the long press for Google Assistant the only option there is a double tap for camera.? Is this something that was removed from the T-Mobile version only and if so does anyone know a way to get that feature back or even an app to add the feature?
I was wondering about this also.

Supposedly it's coming in an update.
Already well covered here. It's not there yet. Some say it will supposedly come with one of the updates. I haven't seen anything officially stating that. So take it for what it's worth. There are plenty of ways to launch it though, gestures, long press the home button if you have one, or just set up "Hey Google".

Not on the T-Mobile version.
It only has options for long press/double press of home, recent, back buttons. Not for power button.
Which means if you do the guestures only navbar option, there's no button press for assistant.
Unless you install the app and just put a shortcut on the home screen.

Sorry I missed long press power, had home on my brain
But long press home brings up Google Search Assistant - same as if you said "OK Google"
That's the default that I see and get from following PapaMag's suggestion - granted its not the power button but if you are looking for search Google search assistant - its there

Well the whole reason you would use the power button is if you used only gestures and had no nav bar.
It is also missing a huge feature called quick launch. It for whatever reason is missing from the T-Mobile variant and without going through the troubles of flashing to stock can anyone help or find a solution as to how to reenable it?
