[Q] SMN910U get LTE Band 17 - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Not sure if this possible but my Note 4 sadly isnt receiving LTE at the moment. AT&T requires 700 mhz for LTE in my area and my phone does have 700mhz, but on band 28 in stead of band 17. IS it possible to flash my phone to use band 17 instead of band 28? Any help is appreciated.

They are different bands so it won't work...

[Q] Verizon Galaxy Note 3 - Multiple LTE band support?

Hello All,
I had always thought the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 only supports 2 LTE bands - 4 and 13 - but I just realized something. When accessing the service menu (*#27663368378#) and then doing the following: UE Setting and Info - Setting - Protocol - NAS - Network Control - Band Selection - LTE Band Preference, the choices of LTE bands given are the following:
LTE B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B17, B20, LTE ALL.
Does this mean (or am I safe to assume) that the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 indeed supports LTE bands 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 17, 20, and 13 (of course - Verizon LTE band 13)?
And if it does, would this allow for international LTE usage on various carriers that support these above bands?
Looking answer to the same question

Enable 1700 band on 910c?

Is there anyway to enable 1700 AWS /LTE on the 910C using QPST?
I know a few phones have benefited from a QPST modification in the past.
I'm interested in the Exynos Note 4 and would like to use with tmobile however I wonder if there's a way to enable all of the tmobile bands to work to ensure 100% network phone & data coverage compatibility.
It seems the only issue tmobile has is the missing 1700 band for 3G aws, 4G aws & LTE.
Is there a way to enable the 1700 band on the 910C using QPST?
According to Tmobile....

Voice over LTE (VoLTE)
VoLTE (Voice over LTE) allows you to place and receive calls on our LTE data network. Phone calls are connected with a clear and rich experience. You never know when you might need to check Facebook while talking to your mom and sharing your Mobile Hotspot with your friends. All of this, on our amazingly fast 4G LTE network. Here's some of the highlights:
Switch between 4G VoLTE and Wi-Fi without dropping a call!
Enjoy crystal-clear calls with our new HD Voice service.
Browse the web with speed while on a call.
Placing a call connects twice as fast.
4G LTE
T-Mobile's advanced 4G LTE network is smoking fast! With incredible speed, you can do more using our nationwide 4G LTE network. 4G LTE delivers up to 50% faster speeds then 3G. If you're in an area served by 4G LTE, you can expect blazing fast speeds because of our expanded capacity. Check out our coverage map to see all the places we have 4G LTE.*
Frequencies: Band 2 (1900 MHz), Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz), Band 12 (700 MHz)
4G (HSPA+)
With 4G, theoretical maximum download speeds range from 21 Mbps up to 42 Mbps. You can take advantage of incredibly fast download speeds, and even use voice and data services at the same time.
Frequencies: Band 2 (1900 MHz), Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz)
3G (HSPA)
With 3G, theoretical maximum download of 14 Mbps. With 3G, you can use voice and data services simultaneously.
Frequencies: Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz)
2G (GSM, GPRS, and EDGE)
EDGE, our enhanced 2G service, delivers a theoretical maximum download speed of 236 kbps. GPRS, our 2G service, delivers a theoretical maximum download speed of 114 kbps. Typical speeds are between 35 kbps and 45 kbps. Keep in mind, voice and data services cannot work simultaneously when on GPRS or EDGE.**
Frequencies: Band 2 (1900 MHz)
Requirements
It's important to use a device capable of the network type you desire, and you should be in a location that has cellular network coverage. Check out our coverage map to see what areas we service, and check out Phones & Devices for device specifications.
Data speeds vary depending on its operating system, processor, battery life, running applications, peak theoretical speeds, and distance from the cell site. USB laptop sticks almost always offer higher speeds than smartphones, because they use the power of a laptop with larger batteries, processors, and other technologies. Also, downloading information is faster than uploading. There is no way to predict an exact speed with so many factors affecting your experience.

According to GSM Arena, the following LTE bands are set to work on the N910C (i have it too):
700/800/850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600 MHz
(Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20) - N910F, N910C
And according to the providers' link given by B.Diddy, the major US LTE bands are the following:
Verizon:
- Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz)
- Band 5 (850 MHz)
- Band 13 (700 MHz)
Sprint:
- Band 25 (1900 MHz)
- Band 26 (800 MHz)
AT&T:
- Band 2 (1900 MHz)
- Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz)
- Band 5 (850 MHz)
- Band 12&17 (700 MHz)
T-Mobile:
- Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz)
- Band 12 (700 MHz)

I have the same situation. Have you fix it for your 910C? What is QPST and what should I do? Thanks in advance.

No band 17 for US variants?

Hi, I was checking the LTE bands for all US variants and surprisingly found Band 17 is not supported. Does this mean there will be some issue with AT&T LTE, since band 17 is a backbone for it? Thanks!

Band 17 is obsolete. It's a subset of band 12. Band 12 is 700a, 700b, 700c; Band 17 is 700b, 700c. If your device supports band 12, it will be able to connect to AT&T's 700 mHz transceivers.
See Band 12 vs Band 17 for a more detailed explanation.

The unlocked US 10 has support for the following:
4G LTE (up to 450Mbps)
FDD: Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 17, 20, 28, 29, 30
While the Sprint variant has support for
B2 (1900 PCS) LTE
B4 (1700/2100 AWS 1) LTE
B5 (850) LTE
B7 (2600) LTE
B12 (700 ac) LTE
B13 (700 c) LTE
B25 (1900 +) LTE
B26 (850 +) LTE
B41 (TD 2500)
That could just be software restricted and if you unlcoked the sprint variant you might get band 3.

Sorry for the delay,
this will point you into the right direction: https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/help/unlock-lte-bands-t3375736/page2
Basically as long as your Sprint and Android 7 you should not run into issues, only thing I could never get to work is WiFi Calling. Everything else is 100% spot on, I tested LTE bands here in Phoenix ,AZ (on AT&T)
If you get stuck or have any questions feel free to ask.

Intl Version - No T-Mobile LTE?

Hi I have an international version of Moto G5 Plus and sadly, there is no LTE on T-Mobile. The only network it connects to automatically is Edge (E). Is there a way to get LTE/4G on this device?
It alll depends on the bands. Tmobile has some unique LTE Bands
Carrier 4G LTE Bands Frequencies
AT&T 2, 4, 5, 17 1900, 1700 abcde, 700 bc
Verizon 2, 4, 13 1900, 1700 f, 700 c
T-Mobile 2, 4, 12 1900, 1700 def, 700 a
Sprint 25, 26, 41 1900 g, 850, 2500
Per http://www.phonearena.com/news/Chea...on-T-Mobile-and-Sprint-use-in-the-USA_id77933
So am I correct in assuming that a missing/unsupported band is more of a hardware issue than a software one and that there basically isn't anything that can be done (like flashing a different radio) to try and get the T-Mo LTE up and running on an international device?
