I got a call from At&T about a problem porting my number from Verizon (yes I am making the switch back). I mentioned they could not port yet as I don't have a phone because it is on pre-order. Cust Service said that I would be receiving it in a couple of days. I got the call yesterday so i am hoping to have my shiny new Atrix tomorrow or the next day.
Could be Cust Service has no idea what they are talking about but you can only hope
If that is the case I might pre order through att instead of best buy then...

Hello everyone. I'm new to this section of XDA - I've had a Captivate for some time (4 of them actually) and have been quite dissapointed at times with it. Overall a great phone, but lots of un-necessary issues (imo) I just pre-ordered the Atrix 4G today and was told I could recieve it within the next 7-10 days at the soonest... I really cant wait to see what the devs here on XDA will cook up for this killer phone (based on specs). If the dev support is anything at all like it is for the Captivate - this is gonna be a great ride with the Atrix 4G
I am hoping we get alot of captivate devs to switch. I know there is a good chance that the bootloader will be encrypted, and that might keep the ROM chefs away, but I really hope we find away around it. i am going to be submitting as much of my capabilities to the effort, but I am new to android. I have done a small amount of program development on iOS with jailbreaks. so hopefully I can help.
Also, as I have said before, Devs are the lifeblood of these phones, and I am willing to put my money out there as a substitute for my experience. I am willing to help any motivated devs by donating $20-$40. Hopefully we can get a rich community surrounding the phone. that way when i am still using it 18 months down the road, I will still be happy with it.
I didn't get that email at all and I preordered on Sunday morning when the preorder option first popped up. I did get my confirmation email right after preordering and another email today ( 17th) , but not the one you have. Am I still going to get my atrix on the 22nd? Or did something get messed up?

I freaking hope so...it's my birthday! lol
I just received shipped email and it is showing delivery by 3pm on 2/21.
When I did the checkout on the AT&T site it told me it's scheduled to be delivered on or before March 6th... if people are getting them as early as the 21 or 22 I sure as hell hope mine arrives around that time as well.

I'd be seriously pissed if FedEx left it on the porch without signature and it got stolen after waiting for this phone. Good thing it's a holiday and I'm working from home all day!
I opted to have mine shipped to the att store - just incase i wouldnt be home when FedEx showed up. This way i dont have to worry about it being left on the front step and sitting there

You know, I was looking for that option and didn't see anything about it. Where was this option during online pre-ordering to have it shipped to a specific store? Maybe next time I pre-order I'll be able to do this.

I didn't see it either. But most likely, you could simply call after placing the order, and have the CSR make the change for you.

I ordered one around 1am est the day of the sale and still no shipment. I hear this company can take up to 2 weeks to ship out a product. From what i hear the company takes orders first. Then they order the stock for the number of orders they had. It seems like they dont have the product on hand before they sell it which is a really bad practice. You cant really short sell in the retail industry.
If i dont get a shipping notofication by Wens i will be calling them. Ill update this thread if my Tab 10.1 ships.

Yea that is kinda what pisses me off about this company. You are quick to take my money but you aren't quick to send the product. That to me is just foul. I already sent them an email asking about my purchase. I don't even know if i'm gonna get a cancelation because they are out of stock.

In their defense they have a policy to ship within 6 business days. After today 9/20 its only been 4 business days. Which is why im gonna call on Fri if they dont ship.
On the BBB there arent too many complaints. Woot actually has a lower business rating than dailysteals. And ive yet to have a problem with woot. So idk

Well i bought it because the price was good. The wait isnt bad as long as it ships this week.
However in my excitement i went over to the tab 10.1 forum and i noticed that the 10.1 has a high percentage of users reporting newton rings. So now im a bit upset, with my luck the tab i get will have this problem.
I love my galaxy tab 7 i hope ill love this 10.1

Hi, new member today! I'm in the same boat in regards to patiently waiting for my 10.1 to ship from Daily Steals. When I ordered it, I completely missed the part where it said, "up to 6 business days before it ships". I had a refurb 32gb on order from Fry's but cancelled it when I saw this one.
I've called, emailed and chatted with Daily Steals and I've gotten the same canned response. As I explained to them, I can understand waiting 1-2 weeks for a $10 or $20 item but to go 5 or 6 days with no updates on a $350 tablet is inexcusable.
The other thing that would be helpful, is having a message board on their site like WOOT. This would alleviate a lot of anxiety when waiting.

I 100% agree. I would be ok if they were actually going to send me the tab lol. I'm expecting another Touchpad incident where i bought one and like 4 days later they send me a cancelation. Which made it much harder for me to buy one any place else. I've seen the Gtab 10.1 on ebay for 350 plenty of times so the deal wasn't amazing but it was something i didn't have to wait for.... So i believed lol.

I would be very very very very careful dealing with bestnydepot, I wouldn't trust them with my CC.
I called bestnydepot after wondering the exact same thing. I talked to the representative on the phone, and he stated that the price is accurate, but that they just happened to run out of stock earlier that day and would not have more coming in for another 2-3 weeks. Riiiight.
Needless to say, I ordered from L2D2 half an hour later. The price is still fantastic and I gain the peace of mind knowing that I'm dealing with a much more reputable company.

So far so good. I have not got my unit yet but I ordered it on Friday afternoon thinking it would not ship until Monday but later that day received a tracking number showing Tuesday. So from a processing time perspective I give them excellent service. I will let you know how it goes when the product arrives.

I gave L2D2 a call and they said any order made over the weekend has stock and they're shipping mine out today. If you call them, they can look it up by name and maybe even make you an account so you can check it yourself.
Thanks for the advice. I called them up just now and they told me it would be shipped out later this evening. If you chose UPS, the pick up time is usually around 5:30-6 PM EST.

Ah, that's good to hear; in our minds, nothing is quite as important right now as getting that phone in our hands . It looks like our shipments are going to be racing each other! Since I paid for two day air shipping, though, I'm fully expecting to have the phone on Wednesday, regardless of when it's getting picked up.

USPS says priority should get here on wednesday, thursday if the pickup time it later... the race is on!!!
I ordered a s7 edge through verizon but I have an issue with the delivery date. They are saying they should hit the stores March 11, but I will be in Texas for my Sister in laws wedding from March 9th until the 12th. So the issue is should I keep my delivery for my home in Colorado or have it sent to Texas.
Do the preorders usually go out early? I would think it would only be fair if people who pre-ordered to get it before people can get it at the stores.
Well for T-Mobile USA they sent the S6 a week early for some users. Verizon tends to be on the dot maybe a day early in most cases.

IIRC, I pre-ordered the s6 edge last year from Verizon (online) and it came 1 day before the release date.

I'm sure there will be a lot of cancellations if this is the case.
My AT&T preorder says shipping on the 7th to arrive on the 8th. Many sites are reporting preorders will be out 3 days early from the official launch on the 11th.
I just talked to 2 verizon reps and the first one said the phone should arrive on the 11th, and the other checked with her manager and said it would ship out on the eleventh and not arrive until the 14th. To me it makes no sense that the people who preordered will get there phone 2 days after the phone comes out in the store.
I am not throwing any fits because it is unfair, but this is a issue for me because I don't know where to have the phone shipped. And like my earlier post said, it seems that they are only giving out around 300,000 VR Gears, so if I am a couple days late getting it, I may lose my chance at getting the VR gear. ?

I pre-ordered from Best Buy so they will ship the VR with the phone. Also getting a free 64gb SD card.
My S6 edge was delivered on March 30th (T-Mobile), and (I think) the release date was somewhere around April 10th. So, don't be too surprised if you get a shipped confirmation email in the next week or so.
Also plan on getting mine through BestBuy. Seems like less of a hassle than waiting "4-6" weeks for the GearVR to come in.
That does sound nice, but I didn't really want to fork out 300 and be stuck in a contract. I might contact samsung and verizon and try to get some assurance that there will be enough to go around. Otherwise, I might cancel and hold out to see what the V10 sequel has in store.

That link actually proves that you need the IMEI and WiFi address.
First, they mention in the text on that page that you need to fill out the form and submit a receipt. That doesn't say what info is required for the form so it does not suffice as a counter-example, nor any evidence that the receipt is the only information you need.
Secondly, that page provides a link to the actual terms and clicking through you can see that the section on submitting the claim explicitly lists the IMEI number (3.b.iii) and the WiFi MAC address (3.b.iv) in addition to the receipt.
So, IMEI and WiFI MAC are certainly required to claim the Gear VR...
Left my local bestbuy last night and a couple blueshirts there told me that they would be releasing the S7 and S7 Edge this Monday. I was pre-ordering and asked when it came out and they told me I could pick it up on monday.
So if you preordered from bestbuy i'd recommend calling them and seeing if they are also releasing it early.
I don't know how truthful BestBuy is. I got my pre-ordered T-Mobile S7 on the 3rd of March and was told by my local BestBuy store that they had the Otterbox cases in stock for the S7. So I drive over to the store and find out that they have the cases in stock but won't be releasing them until the 11th of March because that's when the phones will be released. I will NOT be going back to BestBuy again!

I bought a surround sound system from them a month ago. He told me i was gonna get a discount and hed hook me up with an hdmi and optical cable. Then he was tryin to talk me into joinin their "rewards program" it was like every $100 you get a dollar or something. I was like, "it'd take me so long, im good" but i bought a tv a couple months before so he said i could get credit for that aswell. So finally i said, "well, your not gonna send me a bunch of emails if i sign up are you". He said, " haha noooooo"!

I got a wopping $5 off a used hdmi cable. Which was $20
Paid full price for optical audio cable $25
Then at the end i said oh can we add my tv to the rewards program. (Of course the salesman left so i was left with some kid to check me out)
He said, "oh man we'd have to call customer service and i dont think theyd do it anyway"

The following weeks im flooded with best buy emails, i unsubscribe at least 10 times with no stop to it. Finally have to call a 800 number and scream at them to make it stop.
Yeah.... Best Buy can shove it...
Oh i ended up takin it back anyway so i got my money back. Hah
big thread on reddit about this: multiple best buy mobile employees confirmed it, and users who went there confirmed it. people got calls to pickup on monday too.
pisses me off bc i chose shipping instead of in store (for the first time ever with best buy) bc i was worried they'd run out of stock before my preorder was fulfilled, so i wouldn't be able to walk in friday and get it. did shipping, thinking they'll def have enough in a warehouse.
yeah, and now they release early lol. so mad.
Pre ordered from Best buy about 2 hours after they started taking pre orders and I haven't received notification yet.

You should. I heard about this from https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS7/comments/490phl/best_buy_preorders_go_out_monday/, and went to my local best buy to be sure. They had no idea what I was talking about, and reaffirmed the 11th as the release date. This was yesterday, today my GF got a call that our phones have arrived and that we can pick them up tomorrow.

My preorder confirmation said they would Email me when the items were ready. By chance, did they mention if the Gear VR was ready for pickup also?

Sorry, She didn't think to ask about the Gear VR. I'll call to ask. Our preorder confirmation states the same about notification of pickup.

Same thing happened to me. They had a Samsung rep there and I even showed him the phone, still wouldn't sell it. I went to U.S. Cellular, AT&T and even the new T-Mobile store in my town but neither had cases yet. Verizon store had the stuff out on display already so i bought my case and screen protector there.
I wondered who the *#&@ cares if I buy a piece of plastic for a phone that isn't "out yet"? I am giving you money, why do you care?! It was dumb as f.

Just got off the phone with my local BestBuy, they said that it should be no problem. She mentioned it would be FCFS based on available stock, dunno if this means you can get one shipped later, or if you are sol.
Well...that's kind of strange. The Best Buy website now shows the expected release date for the phone on my order as: "Null"?
The other 2 items still show expected release of 3-11-2016.
Edit: They just now changed the expected release date to 3-7-2016.

Yeah. I ordered two actually, got two seperate emails. I tried looking them up, but it says the name and phone number are wrong, didnt say anything about order number being wrong.
Edit: nevermind, it was under my old name. My att acct is kinda wonky haha.
