BOUNTY: Play Playstation 4 Dualshock 4 working with via Bluetooth on Note 2 - Galaxy Note II General

Hi
If you have a PS4 it's possible to use the Remote Play app of PS4 to play to your ps4 using your phone (more info ).
The bad thing is that it's only possible to play with touch controls or with a dualshock 4 doing a workaround thing that is a rudimentary and also limit that feature to being at home
Till date nobody in the world made the dualshock 4 working within the remote play app via Bluetooth connected to the phone.
There is one thread on xda about it but not devs involved so I thought maybe all the PS4 users with a Note 2 like me are even willing to pay some devs if the port that perfectly.
Who join the bounty? I'm willing to pay upto $10 to have it working
If you join or you have a suggestion post below how much you would pay or the suggestions to improve the bounty.
If not, please don't psot so we keep the thread clean
If more people join the bounty I'm sure some goods dev will try to do it

What if this thread was to announce that it's working already? I'm sure many people would be posting....

Epix Movie Site

If you go to http://www.epixhd.com and use the "get an invite code" You will get a 7 day trial to the site. You can watch a lot of premium movies on the site. This is a new premium channel like HBO, Showtime, etc. When you sign up you will want to say you are a Charter customer and live in a Charter area. You can use zip code 29615. If you have charter as your cable provider you can get the movie channel for $10 a month and it will include a subscription to the site.
Does this sound like spam to anyone else? -_-

Of course not, the fellow just wanted to inform us of this nice new feature for the nexus one. However I can see how the total absence of anything Android related could confuse someone.
if this is a legit way to watch movies on my nexus then i personally would say its not spam...
Not a spam. I have used it to watch a Black Eyed Peas concert. I guess as a promotional offer, they are giving 7 days free.
Nothing to do with Nexus One or android though.
Here is a link to engadget on that:

No this is not directly related to android. But a site that benefits from android. Just learned about it at work and you can sign up using different email addresses to get more than one trial.I figured I would post this in general as it does not fit in any other section.
sigh, sadly i could register and all, but once i get to watch a movie, it won't let me since im not in the u.s.

Reported for what? A kick ass site that will play blockbuster movies on the nexus. Sorry you don't like watching movies on your phone. I work for a cable company and wanted to let you all know of the trial so the xda community can enjoy it too.

Help creating an app the bridges?

I'm pretty sure the term bridges is appropriate for what I'm asking. But what I'm trying to do is find out if it is possible to have let's say the xbox live statistics app and the PS3 Trophies app both pro versions and i can have my app select which features from those two apps I.e the game trophies from ps3 and achievements from xbox in one section at the same time and will compare my stats between both systems, and another section where it shows all my messages and they are identified by color. The only problem that i think is that i will need to get ahold of the developer if he wants to share parts of the code. But that might be a problem due to the fact people have to purchase of course for the pro. Which ive done. But i will also need to share the profits with him which I have no problem doing. So.if this is possible with or with out the orginal developers code please let me know.

Dev help needed with an APP

Hi guys
I need a dev to help me with this app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sImNvbS52YWx1cHMudGl2aXQuYXBwLmZpbmFsZHN0diJd
This is a South African Free app, made to connect to a external DVBH connecter to watch TV (I pay for this subscription every month)
The thing is, the app does not work on rooted devices, and it has some restriction to work on only some devices. Is there any way, that i can get this to work on my Atrix? (I used to have a edited version, which worked on my Android HTC) But its oudated, and does not work on the atrix.....
I would really like to use my decoder again.
Apologies if this is promoting warez or hacking, but where else to go?
I hope there is a DEV that could look into this for me.
Im willing to donate! Thanks

Splashtop Possibly adding Shield Controls Support!

First off, I'd like to thank Splashtop developers for being awesome and listening to potential splashtop customers. I recently sent them an email asking for Shield controller support (I Do not have Nvidia Graphics in my computer). Here's how the chat went down.
Me, Aug 13 20:13 (PDT):
Hello Splash top developers! I own an nVidia Shield and was wondering when
you will add support for its controller. Not everyone has an nVidia GPU so
we cannot utilize the streaming feature. Using game keyboard is too much of
a hassle, having to root it and all. I hope you understand. Me and many
other shield users would pay good money to see added shield controller
support so we can stream our games with our non nVidia PC. We would also
pay extra for the anywhere internet feature so we can play games from our
PC on the go. Thank you for taking the time to read this email.
Sincerely, nVidia Shield Users
Splashtop Personal, Aug 14 07:17 (PDT):
Hi,
Thanks for your great feedback!
We really appreciate suggestions like this from you, our valued customers, for our Splashtop Remote products. The user experience is always our first priority when improving our products. We will keep on collecting this kind of suggestion to make Splashtop Remote products even better.
We will forward your findings to our Product team and Development team to follow up on feasibility studies and issue-solving. Sometimes, when researching a suggested new feature or option for implementation, they will ask us to go back and contact the original suggesting user (you) for some type of specific details. So, if you don’t mind, we may be contacting you again for more information.
In addition, if you have any more ideas for new or enhanced functions in the future, we welcome you to add an Article to our Forum ( REDACTED(Due to my post count) ). This often begins a discussion which includes feedback from both Splashtop staff, and from other users who would like to see your idea implemented.
We really appreciate you generously taking your time to share your ideas, and thanks for using this Support service.
Regards,
Splashtop Support Team
So what does this mean? You might soon be able to stream your PC and Mac games without needing a NVIDIA GPU!
You CAN do this right now but it will void you warrant and be very innacurate for the controls. You can map the controls via gamekeyboard, which will need root, which will need an unlocked boot loader. So, if Splashtop adds shield support, we would no longer need root. Also, splashtop offers a "Anywhere Streaming" feature which would allow us to truly play pc games "On- The - Go", Having wifi everywhere and tethering available from most carriers and phones. So, you should be able to play Assasin's creed 3, on the bus!
So we've got 2014 now and it isn't working...
At the moment I don't have a gaming PC so I don't mind waiting. Man I hope they add Ubuntu support.

Request - Encourage Sony to support 2011 Xperia Device & 4.4

I have posted a new thread at Sony Mobile Support requesting they support 2011 devices with KitKat, as apparently they announced they will update 2012 devices to kitkat.
Or, if Sony will not support the 2011 devices as they are beyond 18 months old, they should release the sources and let the dev community go to town.
Here is the thread at Sony Mobile Support, I would like all users to just take two minutes and voice your feedback in encouraging Sony to either update our PLAY or better yet, release all sources so that devs may do updates such as KitKat 4.4 to our PLAY.
Sony Mobile Support Thread:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperi...Xperia-devices-Xperia-PLAY/m-p/430889#U430889
Thank you and please show your support through the link above, I have informed Sony of this thread but if you all can please kindly post your comments on the thread above. If Sony doesnt see the comments of encouragement then they wont see it as worth it, in either way.
Edit - I am leaning towards Sony releasing sources as this will cost them nothing or a lot less then paying staff to make the 4.4 software upgrade and beta test it. Sources would be a lot more feasible, plus it would allow everyone to benefit with full access to our PLAY.
EDIT 2 - From Big_Smile, he made a very good suggestion to better our chances:
"Also, it would be a good idea to post your messages on Sundar Pichai's Google plus as he is the head of Google Android.
In order to use Android with Google services, manufactures have to follow certain rules that Google makes.
We should ask Sundar Pichai to compel manufacturers to release source files for older devices.
You can see my post asking him to do this here:
https://plus.google.com/+SundarPichai/posts/74nXKEeeMRx
(I've used my name Madhu Sharma).
If you agree, please +1 my comment but also post your own comment as well.
Unlike contacting Sony, this probably does have a good chance of becoming a reality if lots of people participate. Google do tend to listen and if it happened, they would make more money as more people would have access to their services.
Again, it only takes a few minutes to participate and this really could make a difference for everyone."
Thank you Big_Smile.
I forgot to add a Poll for this thread, any chance to still add it? I dont see it as an option.. after I made the first post.
Edit - Got the POLL Running
One more thing:
If everyone can select to vote to have this thread detailed on XDA Portal to gain attention that would great. See attached photo if you are unsure how to vote this thread on XDA Portal.
I have contributed to the thread. I don't think it will do anything, but I think everyone should try.
It only takes a second (and you can login in with Gmail and Facebook, so you don't even need to set up an account).
You never know, if Sony gets a lot of requests, they will take action.
Also, post your message here as well:
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/contact-form/Other/en_GB/
Again, it probably won't do anything but it is worth a try and will only take a minute. Companies like Sony are always trying to find ways to show that they listen (as it earns them good publicity).

i doubt they will support it they wont support my xperia t which is 1.5ghz snapdragon s4 and 1gb of ram. this was their last 2012 flagship so they won't update any 2012 devices probably only 2013

At Big_Smile, that is an excellent idea and would stand a better chance then contacting Sony head on. I will add your suggestion to post 1 soon as I have a chance

Per Big_Smile's link to Sundar Pichai, I have added the following to his, please see attached.

Edit - Added this thread to my Google+ post reply to Big_Smile.
I think another good idea would to be raise this issue on "This Week in Google" (TWiG).
TWiG is a podcast about Google & Android, that is often viewed by people who work at Google.
I have made a post on the TWiG Google Plus Community:
https://plus.google.com/115434784269286841659/posts/4GQVrDtLhTV
If you agree with what I have written, please +1 it and add your own comments and ideas.
I think if the post got around 50 - 100 +1s, there's a good chance someone from the show might notice it and so might consider discuss it on the next episode.
Again, it's a long shot, but it would only take a few minutes to contribute and it could stand a good chance of making 4.4 available for not just the Xperia Play, but many other older phones. As I've discussed in my Plus post, this could help a lot of people (and not just Play users).
Unlike other companies, Google does listen, so if we raise this issue in lots of places, there's a good chance that they might act on it.
good ! waiting for ur news

I want ask all people, that want to post SUBJ request without stupid words to update firmwares for phones. Just ask to open ALL sources, so community can do all work.
I'm all for the sources but telling them to update a very outdated phone is a little much.

Do you think we should start a petition on change.org @OP?
from the God of gaming, the Xperia Play
Why ya keep asking for upgrade? IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. Understand this already. Only thing, that *may* hapeen - opening sources of GB drivrs. Thats enough for communities of all old phones, so all people must focus on it, not on asking for upgrade, that, as said, WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

Y u gotta be so negative? You never know

This is sony we are talking about who are the second worst manufacturer to give updates (lg is worst) they probably won't update their 2012 devices so what makes you think they will update the play.

There's nothing wrong with trying. YOU'LL NEVER KNOW THE ANSWER UNLESS YOU TRY. So all of you negas, go somewhere else. You're of no use here.
Just like sony wouldn't give ics to the play yet everyone asked for it

We are not negative, we are only realistic, it is absurd to think that a company will release an update (LOL) or the source code (double LOL) for a device of 2 years ago, it is against their interest.
BTW don't worry, probably I will go away, if I earn sufficient money to change both my laptop and the phone I will go away from the xplay this Christmas, if not sorry but this nega will remain for another year

Even if they are unlikely to listen, it only takes 2 minutes max to ask them, so it's worth a try. Anyone can spare 2 minutes.
Also, I think the best strategy is to ask Google to force manufacturers to release source code, as they have a financial incentive to do so (as it will further their interests of making Android less fragmented, easier to develop for and making the latest Google Play apps available to all).
