i already have my sgs rooted, im using stock TMN, i will update through kies, is there a problem having the phone rooted before updating with kies ?
It will be unrooted so you will need to root it again after upgrade with kies.

sorry, my mistake.
tnx for all!!!
i have bootloops so tried to install it a couple of times at differnt usb-ports. no i lost the download mode. it automatically boots up in recovery when i press the combo. any idea?
edit: download mode is back after removing the battery for a while. strange. now i will flash jvu, before upgrading.
ive just installed tmn version (from kies), there is new value pack features, i repeat (nothing new in this firmware except 2.3.6).
Actually i think its worse than 2.3.5 (only 3 icons in dock, where did contacts go??)
I dont have root and this is stock firmware and kernel, (jw3)

When I flash UK-Vodafone firmware SuperiorAuto can capture 20MP but in Europe firmware can 8.3MP in SuperiorAuto mod,why is there difference?

before i had 20 mega pixel in 2 option i mean in manual mode 20 with 4.3 and 16.9 but when i upgrade it to 14.1,G,2.257 only i have 20 mpixel in 4.3

hey the file is not corrupt. First extract the file using winrar 5 or later software. I compressed it using winrar to save Space.
So Please Just extract the file using WINRAR Version 5 or Latest..
Then you can see the FTF file to flash. It is 100% working. I double checked flashing it today.
Yes it is in fact working, I guess it got corrupted during my first download attempt...
Extraction is not needed though, it's an FTF not a RAR!

Yes but it is multilingual, you can change language during installation
Country localisation usually differ in additional apps and sometimes in different technical details like e.g. supported LTE bands.
The RU firmware will most probably work in DE, even though it was not originally intended for installation on a German phone.

Oh! Tks! I installed HK region and is working everything perfectly. I am looking to test the US region, but I'm afraid of not getting the Sony Apps updates as fast as the HK region!

Yes, U can.
I do not understand the point of making 'Close All' button region specific... Too confusing action by Sony..
Even my region firmware(MEA) doesn't have Close All button and NFC icon.. So I am forced to use other region firmwares (Unless I root and make modifications myself). Too annoying...

Updating from (stock, rooted, locked bootloader, nut's dualrecovery):

- Downloaded DD6503_Customized US_1281-9709_23.1.A.0.726_R4C from XperiaFirm
- Created the ftf with flashtool (everything except TA files)
- Used PRFCreator to package a flashable file containing the ftf (incl. kernel, baseband, boot, etc.), nut's dualrecovery 2.8.10 (Z2-lockeddualrecovery2.8.10-RELEASE.flashable), and SuperSU 2.46.
I flashed the zip in nut's dualrecovery I already had installed on .690, and everything works, root, r/w, and I didn't lose any data.
Flash a your own risk. If you are not coming from a US/Canada build (1281-9709) and are not completely stock other than rooted, then it might not work cleanly for you.
Update:
- Added US pre-rooted
- Added UK pre-rooted
- Added NL pre-rooted

Hi guys,
I am looking for an unmodified Stock-Firmware (no Root) for the 32GB WiFi Version of the Xperia Tab Z2. Specifically, I need a version that includes Germany (DE) as a region like this for example SGP512_23.5.A.1.291_1282-2707_VMo FR/DE/AT/CH/BE/NL/PL V6.0.1.
The Android version doesn't matter as I am using the Flashtool to flash it to the Tab Z2 and from there I can update to the newest version via OTA Update.
Unfortunately, most of the URLs and links I found are offline.

Thank you very much! That was the missing piece of information I was looking for. I Found the Xperifirm homepage but I forgot that I need a separate tool to download the firmware. My Tab Z2 is running without any issues since 2016 with a pre-rooted ROM and it seems that I forgot all the essentials in the meantime!
