[rom][4.4.2] miui

Just sharing with you , if anybody is interested, a Beta version of MIUI for the OnePlus One.​
I flashed it successfully on my International OnePlus One and am running it right now.
ALL CREDITS GO TO ID这么难么的个人空间 (miui.com developer). You can see the original thread here:

My changes :
- removed Chinese apps
- removed Sougou keyboard and Baidu apps
- added Sony Keyboard
- a few minor build.prop changes
- ROM is already rooted, the MIUI permission manager works perfectly
How to flash :
1. Download : MIUI 2.0 BETA
and copy to your phones storage
2. Download the Gapps package and copy to your phones storage
3. Unlock bootloader and acquire custom recovery from here: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/guide-oneplus-one-how-to-unlock-bootloader-install-custom-recovery-and-root.64487/
4. Reboot into recovery
5. Wipe data, cache, dalvik cache and sytem
6. Install OnePlus_MIUI2.0_BETA.zip
7. Reboot your phone and setup the MIUI account
8. Restart back into recovery and flash Gapps
9. Wipe Cache and Dalvik
10. Reboot into system
11. Enjoy MIUI

Just an FYI... On the latest TWRP this takes a long time to flash... waited almost 5 minutes for the flash to finish...

It's because it's a repost of a ROM found somewhere else on the internet and not the work of OP himself, also the text of OP is copied from that blogpost he is referring to.

Yeah. Just grab CameraNext.apk from Apps/Themes Section and install it normally. Worked for me.

I have one major problem with this ROM (and specifically with MIUI). I can't get Bluetooth working in my Ford Focus. I get it to intially connect, but then Bluetooth on the phone force closes. I've had issues with this in the past with MIUI, so I don't know how to fix it. :\

After nand restore are you getting any errors with Wifi, my wifi connectivity is good but when i go into the wifi setting its FCing.
EDIT: Never mind, the FC problem was from something else.

I always think when people answer there own question its a good idea to post the fix, to help others with potentially the same issue.

I haven't tested it yet, I'm not sure that I will. Cause of the bugs I am seeing on the OPO thread.

guys you need to unmount system before you flash otherwise the updater script will fail.

I'm using it right now. No real problems noticed so far except for a couple of crashes at first boot. It's really smooth. Pure AOSP.

Strange cant get into recovery anymore

Does anyone know if they're using the same sources as Cyanogen? (It had a weird name. CM started to suck when they started using it.)
Or is it PURE AOSP?

Pure CAF AOSP.

I can only recommend not to use it. My Recovery was deleted and i cant get into any Recovery anymore. I get only a chinese fastboot.. Tried to flash my Recovery via adb. On first boot it worked but then not anymore. So be very carefull

Works perfect for me.

Thats strange. Anyway i flashed a recovery and deleted the system in order to restore a backup. It looks nice but the Recovery Problem must be solved in order for me to try again.
BUt i like the Wallpaper

I think you need to reflash recovery when you install it, which is easy to do from fastboot.

I did that. But even then i was not able to enter recovery

very very different modem, compared it against all the five I've got here (not all the previous modems) and can't see anything like it.

Well consider that it's build from their own source it's normal that it's asop-like but gonna give it a try tomorrow. Of course hope they will merge latest 5.0.3 that will come in these week and all other feature of cyanogenmod11S

None, unless bootloader is unlocked
As there is no custom Recovery for locked bootloader with kitkat stock ROM.

Hi.
I've just installed 5.3.5 on my GT5110 using ROM Manager.
When I reboot my machine, I get a host of toasts saying "Unforunately XYZ has stopped." This is the case for a good number of the apps that I execute. I cannot roll back to my backup as one of the apps which "unfortunately ... stopped" is ROM Manager.
I also have Odin installed, but it seems elderly as I can't find a compatible ROM.
How can I either 1) recover my previous install (the backup is still present on my device), or 2) flash an alternative or 3) stop the apps from stopping?

Has anyone attempted to install any version of the Motorola camera on this ROM?
I have tried literally every version i could find to CM12 but always have a FC issue.

Error during flashing
i downloaded the 19500-5.8.16-4.4.zip and flash it (after wipe data/cache) but it stated error :
Warning : No File_contextThis package is for "ja3g" devices; this is a "19500"
installation was then aborted.
im using CWM and im on Samsung S4 19500 Non Lte ver...

lost Root Access
Finally managed to flash the zip via TWRP. but i now lost my root access.
i went to SECURITY > PERMISSION
but ROOT option was not there.

At download site, one download section say "Sam-base". That works for i9500?

OK, If you edit the updater-script file in the zip file folder /META-INF/com/google/android and remove the 1st two lines, you can flash the rom using TWRP without getting the mismatch ja3g to i9500.
I did this and flashed the rom. During boot, I get the boot splash screen but then the device hangs and does not complete boot. How do I go form here?

OK so after advice from the forum I figured out the I cannot use TWRP to flash MIUI. Use Philztouch 6.48.4. Using Philz touch there is no problem flashing. The phone i9500 starts normal and loads the MIUI.
The performance seems slow. I chose English as default keyboard but when I go to the store to download google play store app I get a strange keyboard with Chinese characters. How do I make this a totally English device? I don't mind apps in the app store showing Chinese but I don't want a Chinese keyboard

Use another keyboard, stock keyboard on all MIUI versions is Baidu IME.

did u tried to clean/format data-cache/and factory reset ( in the recovery) it may fix the bootloop

[BLU STUDIO G D790U] Owner's Thread

Hello everyone. I first want to apologize for the intrusion and if you all mind have a mod move this thread.
ROOT:
There are many ways to rooted MediaTek device. Don't bother with towelroot unless you know some strings and Kingo root mobile app doesn't work. I used the newest version of King Root it works fine. I also bought the app supersu me and it flawlessly got rid of all king root and put on supersu. Took less than 10 minutes total. I'm not going to post to have to because they're all one click solutions the phone is very very rootable.
The latest version of Xposed for KitKat works great installs fine and all the modules I've tried which is about 10 all work fine.
I have a Studio G phone and have rooted it and made a Philz Reovery 6 for it.
I want to share and ultimately port a lollipop rom.
I will be updating this thread throught the coming days.

I just noticed that King User is installed. Must have been in the package. Uninstall it and install SuperSU, OR just use KingUser.
This is a KK 4.4.2 Marshmallow Themed Rom, not by me. I just ported it to our device.
EXPLORE THE HELL out of this ROM please. It seems awesome. I've done no adding to it except in the build.prop to add our phone model info.
It's not done by a long shot.

K. I know how it was for others. I would be happy to do thee step by if you wish, or others can message me for it. Happy to see some movement here was going to build TWRP, but not so urgent now. Is the Lollipop rom stock from another device or is it a custom rom? Either way thanks for the hard work with a recovery built custom roms are now much more viable for newbs and casual users.

anychance you could post the rom? its been a few days seience you said you would ask the devs of the original rom.

It's a lollipop themed KitKat ROM.. I'm zipping it now. Its generic rom the guy made for the mt6582 Google lolly Fox ROM mt6582 I'm at work so I'm trying to be quick with the post.
