Nexus 4?

Hi all,I want to buy this device I see 2gb ram and quad core processor it must be good phone.Thing which interest me is camera is it good?Pictures and video? On youtube found just old reviews? Thank you in advance.
It's an old phone, so listen to the reviews. If you expect middle of the road point and shoot camera quality in a great phone you won't be disappointed. If you want DSLR quality, find another device.
Yeah camera is OK.
For comparison, i think that Galaxy S2 and S3 have better cameras.
Agreed, camera is about as good as original galaxy s

Any smartphone Experts here ??

Hey everyone I'm a newbie in chinese smartphones cuz I haven't use one before , I'm actually on LG G4 and I want to switch to another smartphone !!
My Budget is 400$ Maximum !!
after many searches I've found 4 devices in that price range ,what I really want of my next future smartphone ,is to be an upgrade over My lg G4 camera and more performance.
My priorities are , Performance and longevity !! , good Camera , Solid build (Durability) , and Battery.
But I also want a good and Sharp display, good loudspeakers !!For Multimedia
I know that this is a lot to expect from a 400$ smartphone but I just want the best bang for bucks not that Perfect as flagships!!
I've found myself stuck with Oneplus 3 , Xiaomi Mi 5s, Honor 8 , Axon 7 and Zenfone 3 !!
it's very difficult for me to choose please help me , if there is another smartphone that you consider better please tell me !!
Best Regards,
Youssef
Mi5S Plus i think. Merter battery or OnePlus3
Where do you live and how much do you care about OS updates?
I live in Morocco , So I don't care about the warranty since I cannot get any support ,
as for the OS updates ,unless the smartphone is smooth and not buggy,I don't really care about it.
What I do care about is durability , smoothness , Multimedia ,good camera for social media , and of course battery ( 4.5 of sot or better)

Considering other options in price range with better camera

Love this phone but after seeing low light comparisons with an ancient Galaxy s5 I was massively disappointed with the low light photographs, which is important to me (as well as overall camera quality). I've familiarized myself with the custom settings and they still don't provide the desired quality.
Considering a 1st gen Google Pixel or Samsung S7 (leaning to the pixel). What phones, including older phones, in a similar price range would be a good trade off?
I don't care about your complaining. Would it help that you compares G5 Plus to 4 years old phone? It makes you feel better? Don't do off topic and just compare phones in the right topic. It's annoying.

I have the Moto G5plus and I compared the shots to 3 other phones I have access to (not all mine). These are all $200 something.
1. iPhone SE - Out of all budget phones, this makes the best pictures in this price range , the reason I won't get it is because the screen size is just a no-go for me. But camera wise, it's top dog, maybe the Note 5 and the S7 would be beating on it (in $200 range)
2. Honor 7X (I owned this for 2 days and returned it, because it had some defects and I chose not to get another one) This makes great pictures IMO, makes better pics than any moto phone although still not as good as the iphone.
3. Moto ZPlay (1st gen) - Don't get this for camera, actually the G5Plus makes better pictures, the only reason it would look better, because of the AMOLED screen it has, but look at it on a PC or another phone and compare the pics, you'd realize that the G5plus made sharper pictures. The Zplay was a mid-ranger in 2016, don't know how the Z2Play is, but as far as I know it has the same exact camera as the G5plus. Moto uses good cameras, but they just can't get their software processing right.
4. Blackberry Priv. - Despite all the other shortcomings (heats up, not so great battery life) this makes really good pictures, has a curved, hres screen too.
5. iPhone 6S- Same camera as the SE. Again, the reason I don't consider it, is because I had it and I got spoiled by my Note 5 (which I broke and gone now) which was way better and the large screen made me hate my iphone screen.
6. Used Galaxy S7 (or edge, but it's $100 more) this has to be the best shooter if you can find one for $200 as a refurb or used. Same thing with the Galaxy Note 4 or 5. Unless of course you hate touchwiz.
7. If you can find a first gen Pixel, you gonna have a good camera. also LG G6 are going dirt cheap on ebay and it's a 2017 flagship. It has an awesome camera with secondary wide angle shot. As of right now I'm getting an LG G6 soon to replace my G5 Plus.
8. Sony experia - I don't know much about it, although people claiming to make as good or even better pics as the S7. Sony seem to be the primary maker of the best cams on most of smartphones so they won't wimp out on putting a really good one on their own smartphones.

Dude, this has the same imaging sensor as the S7 and Pixel, but it was held back by crappy (but fixable) software. There's no way in heck an S5 can compare once you've turned on Camera2 and run the Gcam HDR+ exposure. Out of camera the shots hang on my wall next to ones taken with my $3000+ pro DSLR, and editing the RAW images blows me away every time I try tweaking them in lightroom.
I call shenanigans. I want to see the examples the OP is talking about, or I lay claim that he is only comparing the crippled stock camera app.

Would you choose Mi Note 2 over Mi6?

Hi guys,
I am going to sell my G6 soon as I don't really like it and I thought about getting Mi Note 2 or Mi6. Would you buy your Mi Note 2 again or you would rather go with Mi6? Mi Note 2 has audio jack, OLED and curved screen, while Mi6 has IPS (so it won't burn-in), better camera I guess (?) and powerful SoC. What are your opinions?
Regards
Well , i'm gonna say my opinion. You can agree/disagree with it tho XD
I would buy Mi Note 2 again because:
1.Good price
2.I really enjoy a 5.5 inch-6 inch screen , so this 5.7 inch one is perfect. It has vivid colors as it is an OLED , but it's true , it's not that sharp. If you really need sharpness and display is a big thing for you , maybe you might consider Mi 6.
3.The design is very nice and a lot of people said that it looks very good when they saw it.
4.The audio of Mi Note 2 in headphones is the best i've ever heard coming from a smartphone. This applies to the loudspeaker also. It's really loud with punchy bass and clarity.
5.Camera , indeed , may not be as great as mi 6 , but it does the job for me. Untill now, i managed to get good shots in every condition , without complaining about the results.
6.The SoC upgrade, for me, has no value as sd821 already runs every game very well. Also, it runs good a more demanding game that just apeared , PUBG for mobile .
Those were my thoughts. Maybe i'm not that pretentious when it comes to have a smartphone. I hope you make the right choice and your new phone will please you

I'd love to see Google Cam with HDR+ on Mi Note 2 as well as it's portrait mode However I think that Mi6 has more ROMs to choose from and better dev support

Very important news about this phone!

Please don’t delete this topic it’s fair warning!
I hate to be right sometimes but as I told long ago after years of testing it turns out that the best camera of Samsung was in S6 / S6Edge+. Test it yourself. Hold S6 in one hand and for example S8 in the other and take a photo in good light. Then zoom it on the phone and you will see that S6 has better details, no artificial brightener while for example S8 has it.
S6 has 16 Mpix and all flagships that came after had 12 Mpix rear camera.
I’ve tested S6 Edge Plus vs. S7 / S8 / S8+, Note8, S9, S9+ and…
only S9+ finally beat S6. (look how Samsung did bad for us from Sep2015 till March2018)
I wish I had NOT sale my S6 and bought a newer one
If You don't believe me? Ask XDA members who has S6 and a later Galaxy S model (but not S9+)
This is a Warning for You don't sell your S6!!!! or sell only if you can afford to buy S9+.
I did the wrong thing so I Warn you no to make the same mistake that I did
So, you say s6 is better than s8 (in camera) because resolution?
Then my xperia S (12 mpx) has the same camera quality like s8, right?

I didnt say that. I know that res/Mpix is not the final thing in judgeing the cam quality.
The purpose of this post was to warn all of ppl that DO want to use only smartfion to take pics.
I have no agenda against S8+. I just know that a lot of ppl are massivly abandoning S6 cause they think that cam will be significntly better on a newer Galaxy. Out of my good heart I want to spare them the dissapointment.
Like I said if a person wants to change S6 only for pics quality reason they should buy nothing less than S9+ otherwise they will be sadly dissapointed.
I disagree. My s8 takes much better photos than my s6.

With all respect to You.
Why is that my S6E+ made 1000 photos of comparing (in bright light of course) since the lanuch of S7 till the launch of S9/S9+
And...
There's a post on XDA where expert members of XDA (high lever, maybe dev even) do agree with me.
