I believe it is in need of repartition. Some partition from the Rom you're trying to install exceeds current partition size.
So either find the correct update for your region (which I strongly advise) Either try it by ticking repartition( do it your own risk) which is not advisable as you might end up bricking the phone.
You need a pit file for repartition.

The best solution for you is to initialize your phone using Kies 3... However, this requires a running phone, not a bootlooping one... Use a firmware that works with you first!
Install it, connect your phone and do the initialization from the firmware menu... This should install the latest available firmware to your device while cleaning up the whole mess....
Good luck

The fanny thing is that .... I do have a functional phone with official Samsung firmware but its 4.3 .... I flashed almost every 4.3 on him all is working .... also try to root ..... flash recovery .... its all OK on 4.3
But when I come to 4.4.4 official firmware .... its refuse to boot ....
I try OTA update .... try KIES ... ODIN .....
always the same scenario .... after flash phone restarted ... I get the first screen with Samsung logo ... after its boot to odin with red message cant do normal boot... and don't let me to recovery (volume up+home) only to download (volume down+home)
Its weird

Send it to Samsung... They definitely know how to put Kitkat on your device!

Are u sure you are downloading right firmware for your device since there are few variants around here, and mayb kitkat is not released for your variant ...
As i can see on samsung update page there is only one 4.4.4 for your device variant (s3ve3gUB)
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9300I
It is : I9300IUBUBNJ1 ,so try flashing that one

I am working on the same exact phone and I have having a hard time finding the right firmware for this phone.
It is stuck on recovery. I get a could not do normal boot and back to recovery. So I was planning on flashing a stock rom to get it out of recovery. Every how to page talks about going into setting to find your firmware version. This makes it hard when you cannot get into phone settings.
If you ever find the right Rom for this type of phone Please reply. Every rom site I have visited does not have the correct one.

This is most probably a hardware issue. Something on the main board got fried or some other glitch took place in a hardware component. Send it to Samsung for a repair or better buy a new phone.
---------- Post added at 12:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:23 PM ----------
Another idea is to use Smart Switch. You don't need a running phone this time. Just choose the firmware initialization option and enter your device model and serial number, and you're good to go. If this didn't work, send it to Samsung or give it a goodbye kiss.

Solution for soft-bricked N9005 after flashing Hong Kong's TGY firmware

I am posting this to help people who ran across the same problem I did the past 24 hours, which drove me crazy and it was quite difficult to find any info on it.
I bought my N9005 on eBay from a Hong Kong seller. I just updated it with Kies and noticed that sammobile.com has a newer MJ8 firmware, so I figured I'd just download it and flash it via Odin.
Kies shows my mobile as XME (Malaysia region), but I guessed it should work just fine, and boy was I wrong.
Moments after trying to flash it, it failed, but it did manage to flash the beginning of the firmware, which was the new MJ bootloader. That newer bootloader does not allow any other firmware with older bootloader be flashed on the phone. Not even Kies's emergency recovery was able to revive my phone which was stuck in emergency download mode.
When trying to flash I got all sorts of errors, such as:
invalid ext4 image
and
CHECK FAIL : fused : 2 , Binary : 1. (when trying to install the older XME Malaysian Firmware on top of the new bootloader)
To make a very long story short, after almost giving up and start waiting for a Malaysian firmware with the new bootloader to be released, I ran across the UK MJ6 BTU rom which does have the new bootloader too and decided to try flashing it. To my amazement - this worked and my phone is back to life! phewwwww!
This is a download link to the BTU MJ6 firmware:

my brick story in short is------ brought note 3 sm-n9005 from ebay from a Hong Kong based seller. pics of ap, cp and csc are attached. rooted with chainfire's and installed cwm6 by chenglu. A few days back, flashed bobcat rom version 2(mj7) and later 3( mk2 ) without problems. Was looking for different themes .yesterday flashed balckchrome from s4 forum that also went smooth. Unfortunatly flashed another theme for s4 which was not meant for andriod version 4.3. Pretty stupid .went into bootloop. Had nandroid backup tried to restore but couldn't.
Flashed another rom mk2 from cwm. again bootloop .took the odin route and flashed stock deodesk mj7 by Djembey from this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2461929
Failed again. Then downloaded latest mk2 from sammobile website. The same error (invalid ext4 img) in short failed on all ccounts. Have run out of options. The last thing in mind is to wait for some new bootloader after mk2 which might rescue me as mentioned in this thread that new bootloaders might help... Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks
@pyarajaani
Try this:
1) Get X-Note v6 custom rom.
2) Use Odin to install CWM recovery.
3) boot the phone into CWM recovery and copy the X-NOTE rom (MK2 based) to your phone or card.
4) Do a complete wipe/factory-reset from CWM
5) Install the X-NOTE rom from CWM
And let me know how it went

Why did you suggest X-Note but not another ROM?
3 reasons:
- It's MK2 based
- I am using it
- It's excellent
And besides, if the method I suggested works, he can always replace a ROM later on if he wishes.

Nope, I didnt mean what is the best rom to use.
The problem is that how to bypass the bootloop issue.

No need to mess with kernels.
Were u able to install cwm via odin and then boot into cwm?

yes...I did that n installed X note rom from cwm. BUT I suspect that cwm is not fully functional. Why I m saying this is that I have a nandroid backup of bobcat mj7 rom...which cwm isn't able to detect even. ..nevertheless. .cwm is installed.
1) Which CWM version do you have installed?
2) Did you do a full wipe/factory-reset?
3) Did you try also advanced formatting (of system partition together with the full wipe) and then install the ROM?
4) Did you try all the above with the latest TWRP recovery instead of CWM?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467255
Try to flash this file by cwm first and then flash any rom after you want

If you already had CWM installed earlier, flash it again using odin. Once done you will be able to turn on your phone with whatever version of rom u have installed already.

I do not think I missed the point. Your original post only mentions KK but not LP which is why I suggested LP. The last line of your original post even states the ROM in use on the phone.

No worries. Thank you for clarifying the situation. Your English is fine.
I don't know which version of Odin you are using but I always use Odin 3.07 because I have never had a problem with 3.07.
Do you have a pit file for your phone? Flashing the pit file with the stock ROM in Odin might solve the problem.

This is coz KNOX blocked the wifi access.
SOLUTION:
1. Flash via ODIN the latest android 4.4.2 version to your device: THIS ONE.
2. Root it via ODIN with CF-Autoroot.
3. Using Root Explorer (for example) delete all the KNOX entries: GUIDE.
4. Reboot your device. You should have wifi now. Install TRIANGLE AWAY and reset your flash counter to complete the job. Done.

You mentioned that you tried kies in your post but Kies didn't support your phone. It could be that the updated ROM is supported in Samsung's smart switch.

S5 G901F - flashed official FW, doesn't boot

Hi, I had this phone, G901F on which someone flashed a Vodafone Germany FW, but the phone is from Orange Romania so at first I simply wanted to flash its according FW, but turns out Orange Romania only has 4.4.4 so I found the Nordic FW with 5.0.2
I flashed it, phone booted normally afterwords and it was doing the Android is Upgrading process at which I turned it off to reset it from Recovery. So after that it wouldn't boot anymore, after the Samsung logo the notification LED stays on with a blue color and it doesn't do anything, I left it on like that for more than 10 minutes.
I did reflash the FW through Odin again and it still does that. At the moment I'm downloading Germany Vodafone 5.0.2 just to hopefully get it working again but I don't wish to have bloat on it. Would getting the 4.4.4 FW be alright? Would it work afterwords? I imagine that I'll get 5.0.2 through OTA.
Thanks for reading.
Orange ro does have a 5.0.2 Rom. Search on sammobile for it. There's a dedicated thread for s5 plus http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...s5-gs-g901f-user-thread-t2906438?goto=newpost
There is no ORANGE 5.0.2 rom only 4.4.4 correct. but you can install whatever rom you want or custom rom if you dont want bloatwares.

I want to make it stock, the device has warranty papers and everything, so I don't want to mess with it. I have had Samsung phones in the past and I was always able to flash them with stock firmware from sammobile without issues. This however, seems to have problems. The Nordic rom doesn't want to boot at all and I downloaded the RO Vodafone 5.0.2 ROM and it does boot, but doesn't get past the "Android is upgrading" message at startup, it shuts off in the process and then can't turn on without me removing the battery. I did reset it from recovery so I guess I'll just try 4.4.4 Orange and see where that takes me, I was asking if I can do that because I'm not really sure I can downgrade.
Thanks for your answers.
LE. I tried the Orange 4.4.4 FW and it still doesn't boot.
I looked the phone after IMEI and ended up with this result on the website imei.info:
G906S Galaxy S5 LTE-A (SM-G901F)
So I'm kinda confused, since none of the 3 roms that I downloaded for the G901F model didn't work, should I try and download the FW for G906S? It doesn't make sense, everywhere on the phone it says it's G901F: On the sticker beneath the battery, in download mode.. it used to say it in device information too.
There IS a Orange rom for s5 plus, as I previously told you!!

The phone is stuck at boot because you really placed the 4.4 bootloader with a 5 one. You will have to write a 502 Rom or ro download a 4.4.2 rom but with repartition and pit.

The device will work install any 5.0.2 rom after firmware flash you must wipe data factory reset from recovery
@vcosmin ORO is Orange Not ORL
Well the thing is that I tried the 4.4 Rom only after the 5.0 ones failed. So not even that is working.
So flashing the 4.4.4 Rom and ticking repartition and pit is a good ideea? I always saw that you're advised to make sure their unchecked

You always stuck in bootloop if u install from 5.0.2 to 4.4.4 if u flash from 5.0.2 to 4.4.4 your phone will stuck im bootloop after u flashed with pit 4.4.4 if phone stuck on boot just add pit file and click start in odin. Phone will boot
I was initially on a 5.0.2 ROM and I tried flashing a 5.0.2 ROM which put me in a boot loop. The 4.4.4 ROM was the last one I tried after 3 different 5.0.2 ROMs, so there was no rewriting of the bootloader to begin with. But where do I get the pit file? Do I extract it from the ROM file? Or it does it on it's own?

When I was in kitkat I did not check the bootloader version and flashed older version which tripped the knox counter. That was why I I asked you to check the bootloader .
If you flashed the correct firmware via odin, believe that the firmware download has no problem, and flashing odin did not give any errors and yet you still have some problem, then your problem likely to be a hardware failure rather than software.
check the checksum of the downloaded firmware, flashing from different usb port or different computer, flashing with different version of odin, etc.. are the tries you can do.

Could you tell me your bootloader version of your phone and also give me the link of the lollipop firmware that you downloaded from the sammobile.
if it is possible could you tell me what message you have when you flash that lollipop firmware via odin.
If your phone is on lollipop, flashing kit-kat or jelly beam wont help and it could harm your phone.
