Easy for anyone not on Verizon

yupp. recently verizon has pushed updates pretty fast on droid device.

With the introduction of the Droid turbo I will have to reconsider my choice on the Nexus 6 also since there is another phone coming out for AT&T called the Moto X Play ( which is the full GSM version of the Droid turbo) it makes my wait even more prolonged.

DAT battery tho!!! 3900 MaH!!! Ahhh man. Also that display, all those beautiful pixels crammed into a smaller screen size must make for a ridiculously sharp display. Oh well, I'm personally happy with my future Nexus 6. I've always wanted a “phablet" to cure my tablet itch.

Capacitive buttons are a bit of a turn off & I wish the screen was at least 5.5"
Everything else looks great but not enough to pull me away from the Nexus 6

No brainer.... Nexus 6. All of that aosp flashing goodness and kernels galore.... I cannot wait!

The Nexus 5 has spoiled me. I like customizing my nav buttons

Still sticking with the Nexus 6. After having the note 2 it'll be nearly impossible for me to go to anything smaller in screen size. Other than the capacitive buttons it's a nice phone. I just prefer the larger screens.

2 different phones, one carrier exclusive, and not lte compatible on gsm networks. So...pointless comparison.

Lol Verizon.
Sorry guys, this phone has great specs but enjoy the bloatware, delayed updates and the fact that you're stuck on Verizon if you choose the Droid Turbo.

I prefer the bigger screen on the Nexus.

that nexus one is looking real sexy ::mouth waters::
don't know if it'll come to sprint this year or not, I suppose there is a hope if it goes to big red.
I'll probably pick up a hero with a bad esn in the summer after more android phones come out for sprint and it gets cheap, and swap the esn with an old phone I've got and run it on my sero plan. it'll be the trusty old vogue-droid until then.

I don't think that I could own a non-htc device after being spoiled for so long with my vogue, so that knocks the moto droid out I've seen more than one report saying this spring for Nexus 1 on Verizon so hopefully there's no funny business lol.. T-mobiles offering it for 179.00 on new contract but I bet it's 299.99 at least on VZW with upgrade.

NFC enabled on the AT&T version.
And you can count on a ton of bloat ware (easily fixed though). I'm sticking with my unlocked white euro sgs2... I LOVE the home button and a bumped processor isn't good enough for me to give it up... plus its cool to have the version others don't! ;-)
Sent from the best phone on the planet (SGS2) running the best ROM on the planet (Cognition S2)!
You'll **** bricks before your carrier authorises a firmware update with the American version.

HSUPA speeds are likely crippled, too.
And yeah, the T-Mobile version will have the best theoretical download speeds, but the worst performance, especially graphics.
It'll also use its very own totally-unique-won't-work-with-anything else firmware...it's a one-off, almost an orphan, so don't expect much community support for it.
hehe, bought the UK version or "unlocked" like new for $450.... thanks foe the replies guys, BTW the CPU is 1.2 so it's the same speed, no speed bump..
Is there a dump of the 4G ROM yet?
It would be nice to have a true US English dialer for example that doesn't say 'Favourites', etc.
Sprint version is the best with the bigger screen and LED indicator
TMobile users are getting the short end of the stick with the Qualcomm processor
Ughhh called my local att retail store and I quote it was supposed to launch, but its been delayed end quote. Dialed 611 the rep could only point me to the att site to sign up for email notification when it's available, which I have done weeks ago. Any one know why the delay?
I'm gonna go ballistic if this is apples doing.

Colour me surprised that the regional spelling is the centre of your query.
Just heard from an att sales representative, take it with a grain of salt, but he said sprint gets it exclusive for a month.

Speak for yourself on the screen. 4.5" is too big for me. That's why I have a tablet. As for the LED, my last two devices haven't had it so I'm kind of used to it being gone. Certainly not a deal breaker either way.

I'd actually say that the biggest advantage the Sprint version has is the bigger battery (1800mAh). Battery life with huge screens is my #1 concern. Also is using NoLED app for the Att version really that bad?

Will there ever be a case like this?

I've wanted a case like this since my first android phone. I just want a simple slide out keyboard for a Nexus 4. I know the demand for this probably isn't high though. What are the chances of someone company making one?
I'd pay $50-75 for one.

Well it is a higher possibility with the N4, I don't remember any of those phones having a completely flat back and forget the curved GN - there was no hope of a keyboard slide case for that.

[Q] any reason GEL is exclusive?

is there really any reason that google has made the GEL launcher exclusive to the nexus 5? I looked at the lg g2 a few days ago in my local t-mo store and liked the fact it had a large screen, and figured i could get something like that if I had my bars transparent like the bars on the g2 since it's a huge price jump and I couldn't afford it. That being said, is there really any reason other than a selling point to keep the GEL on the n5 only? Thanks

Moto G 4G has a gyroscope!

Motorola added a gyroscope to the 4G version so you can take Photospheres with the Google Camera app.

The launch price is £149, but in the UK, it's being quoted as £10 more for £159. Considering you can now get the moto g for £100 quite easily (I got it for £78 with vouchers etc), its still a fantastic deal, so don't feel left out . As ever, you get what you pay for.
