[Q] Can't find custom ROM for Cricket S4 'jflteaio' - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I am having trouble finding a custom ROM for my Cricket galaxy S4. Model is SGH-I337Z, codename 'jflteaio'. I have TWRP 2.7 recovery installed along with Touch-wiz ROM, Skyfall. But I would really like to have at least one custom ROM for this device. I have looked through the unified section, as well as the AT&T section with no luck for 'jflteaio'. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you all
Dan

I don't know if there are roms specific for that device.
The rom you mention is for a i337 right? Then maybe all the roms from that device work. Just flash them and see if they boot.
If not then you probably need to port them yourself, there are plenty of guides out here that explain how to do that.

[Q] Flashing Knowledge?

My Previous device was the Galaxy s2 Epic 4g touch (Sprint). On that device you had to use a specific kernel before flashing different android versions GB, ICS, JB...My question is What is the rule of thumb when flashing different roms Like AOKP, AOSPA, CM etc.. Is it Rom specific? Are their kernels or modems or anything like that that i should look out for? Could someone point me in the right direction for finding out this info for my LS980 (Sprint)? Thanks

SMG900W8 ROMs.

So my friend would like to install a custom ROM for his S5, model name SMG900W8. Which ROMs work? I don't have a S5 at all so I have no clue which works and which doesn't.
Check the development sections and have at err. Almost all of them should work for you. I'm running PAC-ROM on my 900w8

Safestrap ROM Development

Forgive me, but I unable to find this information anywhere, so I am now asking:
How can one turn a ROM into a Safestrap ROM? For example, it would be great to have a Safestrap-compatible Cyanogenmod, but perhaps this is not possible. XDA developers, please share your knowledge and insight on this and thank you.
There's no such thing as a "Safe strap compatible Rom".
But if you are running safestrap then you need a TouchWiz based Rom, so a cyanogenmod Rom is not possible using safestrap.
and wrong thread lol. he is correct ∆
we have a locked BL so it wont flash the kernel therefore we cant flash an aosp kernel which prevents us from having an aosp rom.. closest you can get to aosp on here is eclipse rom

[Q] Verizon S5 ROM Suggestions

Hey Guys -
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about stable ROM's for the Verizon Samsung S5? I'm going to downgrade my 5.0 to 4.4.4 (using this guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...-to-downgrade-lollipop-5-0-to-kitkat-t3088571) and do all that stuff, but I wasn't sure if there are any restraints on the type of ROM's you can flash. It's my understanding that Cyanogen doesn't have anything besides nightlies right now for the Verizon S5?
Thanks in advance!
K
You need to use one of the roms from the development forum for the verizon s5. It doesn't have an unlocked bootloader, so Cyanogen won't even run. Most roms on the forums are generally stable, but the most stable are either stock rooted or extremely debloated ones.
What is best is always subjective. What may be best for one person is not best for someone else.
We recommend you take a look read all the available ROMs decide which one you want to try out and determine for yourself.
Always give the rom at least 1 week to settle in and use before making a decision.
Thread is being moved to Q&A section as you are asking a question and looking for guidance.

Are there any custom roms for the SM-G360G variant?

Hi,
I have a Galaxy Core Prime G360G and I've searched but can't find custom roms for this variant.
Is it because there are none at all? Can I flash using roms another variant? Like the G360H?
Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers!
Hi there.
To my knowledge and research , since I also have this model, this is a rare species and no such ROMs appear to exist.
Don't be tempted to try the more popular G360H rom, the hardware is different, and this is certain to brick your phone!
However, there is a rootkit available thanks to ChainFire. So you can root it. If you are keen you can use this as the base for your own mods. Not a custom ROM. But at least you can hack around the system. Main site below, though considered depreciated it comes up in a search first. And a link to a G360G rooter below that.
