This may seem insane, and I love this screen, but I can't stop using the grayscale mode on this phone. I know the screen is great, yet I really like the Contrasting blacks and whites. Even in grayscale you can tell how amazing this screen is.

Preference. Not sure why some people have to have such messy, cluttered screens. I, for one, would like a little more room like the g3 gave. I'm just more a fan of using the Samsung widgets and such that I wouldn't be able to use with nova over having 30 tiny icons cluttering up my screens.

agreed although i wish i could get apps on lockscreen
So I see some of you are going with "Nova" or "Apex" setups already. I'm tossed as to giving stock touchwiz a try with the new interface on the Note 4 a bit but already own Nova Prime so half tempted to go back to that as I had my S4 setup. Hrmmm

yeah i never use stock launchers anymore. i gave up on them. nova does exactly what i need, AND can configure an app like "screen off" to double tap to sleep, which i got used to with knock off on my G2. stock TW can't do that, plus stock TW has such a stupid grid for such a big screen , i can't stand it.

You know its funny, the 10.1 is much better to browse the internet, the SGII is an amazing phone.. but the Tab 7 is special, it has digital TV, it works as a phone and it is a pretty good tab for browsing the web.
I am VERY inclined to buy the new Tab 7". Im just waiting for ICS to come out.
Actually my only complain is the lack of official release date for ICS!
All in all I like Samsung Tabs!

When I bought a Galaxy Tab 10.1 for my wife last July I was not too impressed, but since rooting and installing ICS on it I have virtually fallen in love with it. I actually miss it wen my wife takes it to work during the day! LOL! Oh I miss my wife too!

And to the guy asking about tasks keyboard. Best buy sells them, they are made by zagg. And come packaged with a case. I bought one with my tab. I found the case and keyboard to be very low build quality. The keyboard did function fine just a cheap feel.
The case actually scratched my tab ...never again for me.
Best of all worlds, SGS2, BB 9700, iPod Touch 3g, T-Mobile Rapport (backup), GTab 10.1
Just need a WP7 device now!

That's either nova or apex I think, I'm using apex with the dock enabled for the nexus 7 style home screen, apex also comes with the stock jellybean nexus 7 and ICS wallpapers. Would screenshot it but I'm on stock unrooted so can't at the moment

NOVA Launcher. Love the ability to hide icon labels and set a custom grid. I am using 6 rows and 7 columns. Also buttery smooth animations.
Widgets are as follows:
Top Left - Gmail
Bottom Left - Google Reader
Top Right - HD Widgets
Center - Battery Monitor Widget
Bottom Center - Calendar
Bottom Right - Flipboard
You need to sideload Flipboard, but the apk is readily available.

you forgot how many problems we got before with "non optimized" resolution ?
Galaxy note 2 much more smarter. Resolution is optimized for everything. Plus it brings more FPS for us.
And the icons it just a launcher. It will be hacked later.
I created loads of folders now I can find eveything on home screen and set other screens just for show and widgets

That app is free on iOS. Bummer, but understandable as to why they made it a paid app.

Haven't gotten an answer on this in the other places I've asked. There are two different UIs shown in the pics for the app, one looks like iOS and the other looks like it may be a tablet UI. Can anyone confirm if the latter is a tablet UI. If it becomes the phone UI too it looks pretty nice.

I tried the "A Better Camera" app and I really liked it, only problem was the display was super dark which renders it unuseable - I think its not yet been made compatible with the Nexus 5 - anyone else having the same problem?

Yeah, I emailed them about it and that asked that I send them some pictures which I did. Hopefully they fix it.
is the Camera Awesome app really the best out there? The features look good but the reviews are terrible and not very many downloads...
anyone have real experience with it before I commit $3?
The interface on this app looks so cluttered. I wish someone would just blatantly copy the iOS 7 camera app instead of trying to make an app that has literally every feature but 30 on screen buttons. Just simplicity with necessary functionality. It shouldn't really be that hard.

Does the Neo Hybrid help with the "sharp" feeling of the Edge? Mine should be here Tuesday (both the Edge and Neo Hybrid). I didn't think it was a deal breaker when I tried it out in the store, just wondering if it makes it any easier to hold.

Looks great! Making me rethink my decision of getting the black one! Anyway you can show a picture of the back of the phone case? My edge and neo hybrid will be here on Tuesday. I also ordered the clear case from Spigen too, but that branding on the back of the phone is gaudy to me, so I'm not sure if I want to use the clear one.
