Samsung/galaxy app store icon - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I must be blind, because I cannot find the galaxy app store icon in the drawer. I see the one on the desktop, but if that gets deleted, where do I find the store?
Thanks,
Jim

Nope, not in application manager, either. This is a Verizon Note 4.

I have widgets for it, maybe there is no app specifically in the drawer?

I'm on AT&T and didn't have a Samsung Galaxy Store icon or app until I downloaded & installed it. IIRC I got it from Samsung's website. I was thinking I got it from the Play Store but I checked and it's not there.

So strange
If you have galaxy widget gift it mean you have that app.
Almost all galaxy device have galaxy app as a default app

I have that widget but I didn't realize it included the Galaxy App Store, really I don't think it did, maybe it gives you access to download & install it. I only looked at once before I removed it from my screen but I'm thinking when I downloaded it & installed it from Samsung's website if I already had it installed it would not have installed a second time. Installing it was one of the first things I did because I wanted to install Here Beta maps.

If you have a Samsung folder, it's probably in there. Another reason why I use Nova Launcher.

Ok so you have to manual install from samsung website to use that app

Samsung bookmarks in Chrome

Hi
After updating to 4.1.2, I got a "Samsung Mobile" folder in mobile bookmarks in Chrome.
Anyone know how to delete that?
I dont get the delete option when I hold on the folder.
Phone is not rooted.
Me too, bloody annoying!
You could remove it with titanium backup and then install from the market.

Phone is not rooted, and will not be. (Company phone with software installed to check for root)
Chrome is already installed from the market.
I'm wondering how Samsung is allowed to make permanently active bookmarks in a 3rd party program.
There must be a way round it, i tried deleting cashe and app data, uninstalled updated but nothing removes it without rooting!
I cant believe samsung has done this! very annoying it pop ups when i want to access my bookmarks
The answer is here:

View the applications in Settings/Application Manager/All. Best viewed in landscape to see the full application name.

It's a system app in 4.1.2. It's called chromewithbrowser.apk in the system folder. Then it updates from the market just like Gmail, maps etc.

Play Store for Dummies... (update help)

I have googled to no success... here is my dilema:
When looking at my installed apps and selecting those that are ready for an upgrade... I can not view what is new, but rather, only what permisions are required for the app. To view what is new in the version, I have to search the play store for the app and look at it there. Is there a solution to this?

Just above the permissions table, where it shows the app name, press it and it will take you to the app page description with all its glory.

Evernote invisible app?

Alright so first off, I'm using Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition).
2nd The pre installed Evernote app is apparently on my tablet, but it's no where to be found in the apps section.
As far as I can tell thus far is that the only way to access the app is to go into Samsung Apps search for Evernote, and there it is ready to be open and used. But convenience wise that's a bit annoying. Is there a simple way to find and use this app I don't know of?
I would just uninstall the app and reinstall with hopes of it being in the apps section, but as far as I can tell I can't delete an app I can't see.
Look in the "galaxy plus" folder
In the app drawer is a folder titled "galaxy plus" the evernote app icon is in that folder.

[Q] Double-click Home.. go straight to Camera

I was reading a review of the Galaxy S6 and it says it has this feature. I was wondering if there was an external app that would mimic this on the Galaxy S4.
I used to use an app called Home2 Shortcut for configuring the double-Home action on my S4, but there are reports in the Play Store that it doesn't work on KitKat.

I've successfully used it on Kitkat when my device was doing weird things. It should work just fine.
WOW thanks so much. Great new feature on my phone!

Strange Issue with Missing Apps

So I just finished copying my ~40GB of music to the SD card, with plans to use Samsung's stock Music app for listening to local music. I got on the train this morning, and the app was missing! I disabled some things in Package Disabler Pro over the past week with the phone, but never Music or anything else similar. It doesn't show at all on the phone now.
Also, while trying to test Root Explorer's issue with writing to our SD card, I found it to be missing from my app drawer (Nova), but showing up if I search for it. I haven't hidden the app at all, and even more, it doesn't show under TouchWiz or Google Now Launcher either.
I think my phone is possessed.
i think samsung music was removed by sammy, i believe you have to download it from the galaxy store now

The thing is, I had it on my phone when it was initially setup. Did Samsung force remove it?

I haven't removed anything on my phone and I have not had the Samsung Music player from day one. Root Explorer shows up fine in my app drawer but as we know, it isn't working correctly and crashes when trying to grant permissions.
As stated, Samsung Music is available to download from the Samsung apps store, I just downloaded it to test and see it in the app drawer now.

Then I am even more confused. I even opened it to test my BT headphones, but now it's gone.
You have to go into Galaxy Apps and download. It's one of the things Samsung did to lean out the apps. Some of the apps people are used to see and possibly use can be gotten there.
Music app was never there initially. I installed it from Galaxy Apps. I heard that video player is also "missing".
Yeah, I didn't have it either. Freaked me out because I don't like using other music players. I was about to freak out until I searched it in Galaxy apps
