yay another root thread!

Didnt see an actual Chainfire CF-Autoroot post is all.

I'm rooted with the tmo version but I'll try this one too. I have a bad stutter constantly and wonder if that has anything to do with it

So has anyone try rooting using this method?

Yup

Well every time i try to and i get to the step of turning my phone off and go into odin it never shows up on the com port.

It works!
But I can't figure out how to get the wifi tether router to work...I've tried all settings with no luck!

Did you install the Samsung USB drivers?
Have you tried a different USB port on your pc?
If that doesn't work try to Uninstall amd reinstall the Samsung USB drivers.

Anyone else notice tremendous lag after rooting this phone?
Mine has significantly slowed down and lags constantly where as before it was lightning quick. Any fixes for this?

Mine does that no matter which root I used

Yep.... Is that the cause?

I rooted with the T-mo version of chainfire (before the Sprint version was available).
How do I revert/unroot to stock so I can then root via the Sprint version?

Look in the "Note 4 is rooted" thread or almost every other thread that mentions lagging while rooted -- it's been clearly defined as being Xposed causing it at the moment. Root on it's OWN should never cause any lagging issues like that.

Trying restore my rooted phone not sure what im doing wrong

Trying to restore my but im having issues. I follow guide now that i unroot i cant get any wifi but 3g is working find and if i go back to my old rom i cant get any 3g or 4g but i get wifi its really weird.
Getting
Kernel is not seandroid enforcing
and
set warranty bit kernel
messages when booting my phone not sure if that has to do with it but i thought it was clean stock install i did what ever guide said.
We're gonna need some more info about your phone. This forum is for AT&T and Canadian S4s. Which one do you have? (i337 is AT&T and i337M is Canadian) And with that said, which firmware were you on before you did this?

I have a bell SGH I337M. Any way what is happening is i cant get wifi to work at all now that i went back to stock and im getting what i listed above when i boot my phone yet i went back to store firmware. I have a warranty on phone but i dont think i can send it back becase it says Kernel is not seandroid enforcing and set warranty bit kernel which i guess shows its been rooted so my warranty with bell wont work and i can get rid of that message or get wifi to work. Also my phone is laggy i cant even operate it keeps saying not responding do you want to close.
I think i did unroot all correctly put it into download mode flashed tar file for bell i337M firmware but i still am getting this message on boot, wifi not turning on at all and like i said phone is laggy unusable.
I also googled how to get rid of the message at boot everyone said to Flash stock firmware which i did but its not gone i think this phone is 100% ****ed.
If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated other wise im forced to get a new phone.
Even if i could just get rid of that thing on boot i could at least repalce my phone so its looks like its not rooted.
Also rom i installed b4 was GRAVITON maybe i did something wrong with that and no wifi wont work i need to flash a kernel that will work with bell s4 but i have no idea what one to use.

First... you need to flash Bell firmware not At&T.... would be helpful to know where you actually started from... were you on 4.2 or 4.3? There is a thread here that has all the stock firmware but you need to pick the right one... if you were on 4.3 you need the MK6 firmware...as long as you can reach download mode your not hooped yet....

The hardest part was waiting for the Samsung drivers to install onto my laptop!
It worked..and Im rooted!
There was a warning that popped up when I opened SuperSU that says KNOXX is enabled, and asked if I wanted to try to disable. I chose "yes" and it prompted me that it is now disabled. Im not sure what that means though? I was under the impression KNOXX was here to stay?

I love coming home from the Sprint store and being able to root immediately. Here we go!
EDIT: 30 seconds later, I'm rooted.
it doesnt seem to like it when you delete system apps through TiBu, lol, TiBu crashed upon deleteing the lumina tool bar and one of the other apps, they went away though so we win, lol
So glad to have the root (it worked just like it said). Time to clean up the bloatware now. Thanks!
Works!
Yes, it did only take 30 seconds. No drivers needed on Win 8 update 1 update 1.

Root regarding G928T

I've gotten conflicting results when reading the forums about whether or not the G928T is rootable via Arter97's kernel. In how to guides I see evidence that it might be but on the Arter97 dev thread it says coming soon.. yet at the same time in update 3.6 it says "added support for T...".
Can anyone confirm if the Arter97 Kernel can be used to get root access on a G928T running 5.1.1?
Also, I woke up this morning to an update from T-Mobile... I'm assuming I shouldn't take the update if I plan to root? Anyone have any suggestion there?
The version #'s are as follows: G928TUVU2COI5/G928TTMB2COI5/G928TUVU2COI5 in the update details...
Am curious to know this too. I looked at the thread for arter97 and....well it looked too complicated for me. I just need to root, don't need anything else. I'm not very tech savvy and only know how to use Odin.

the only issue I had during the process is this:
After installing the custom recovery I was still holding down the volume down button instead of the volume up button to reboot.

I did this when I first got the Snapdragon S7 Edge and it worked but bugs, and plus, if I can't use Samsung Pay and Samsung Health, then this is pointless to root. I reflashed to default firmware, and then I used T-mobile Unlock app and unlocked sim on phone, then I flashed the Unlocked firmware from Sammobile (TMK) onto the phone. Now I do not have T-mobile bloat and boot. I also get OTA updates 2 weeks ahead of normal T-mobile updates. So this root is not good to me. Plus, Oreo is just any day now with OTA, and I am willing to be a little more patient.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 T818 Update on TWRP and root

Like the title says, the new T-Mobile version of the S2 with the Snapdragon processor. Is there any type of development being looked at for it? I'm looking to be able to debloat it at the very least. Any knowledge of that here at all?
UPDATE: So looks like that TWRP for the T819 works great for the T818 devices. Go to this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/ta...2-1-galaxy-tab-s22016-sm-t713-t3390627/page67 and follow the directions there.
All thanks and credit to @ashyx and any other TWRP devs for this.
