Unable to change default blur camera picture viewer.

Hi again, the stock blur photogallery are terribly slow,. Im currently using quickpic as my default photo gallery viewer. Im on apex 1.4.1 rom.
The stock blur camera keeps defaulting to the 3d gallery when I take a picture and click the thumbnail..
I even emailed the dev of quickpic and sent him logcat logs and he said that the gallery is "hardcoded" to the camera?
I tried copying over quickpic, renaming it to 3dgallery.apk in system app, but it wont run.

Go to manage apps in your settings and find the camera and clear defaults. Then open camera app and hit the thumbnail to go to the gallery. It should ask you which app to open it with. Check the box to use as default

Hi there, I already tried that, NG.. I ended up going with the aosp camera and using a modded xml that upps the bandwith for a small edge in quality over the blur camera. and it lets me use the quickpic gallery.

[Q] A problem while uploading a photo selected from the Google photos app on my app

Hey guys I've been developing an app but I'm having this issue while I upload a photo through my app to my server. I click the select photo option on my app and it redirects me to the Google photos app's recent page and when I select a photo from there, it doesn't upload it. I know that I can click on the menu and select from the default android gallery. Note that selecting a photo from Google plus backup through the default gallery has the same issue.
I'd like to know if somehow I can directly select photos from the gallery app or fix the issue of selecting photos from the Google photos app.

you should learn more about how to read and interpret exceptions, cause it will be throwing one in your code. If I were a betting man, I would say you are attempting to upload a resource uri location rather than a file. So you would need to get the absolute location and name from the relevant content provider

Problems with google photos and stock app camera on OS 5.0 (8)...

Guys, is there anyone here that are facing a problem with os stock camera and google photos? If I uninstall the stock gallery app from os, when I go to the camera and take a picture, I can not acess the same on that small shortcut to gallery. I tryied to uninstall, wipe cache, data, etc from both apps, but failed.

Isn't the shortcut connected with the stock gallery app you uninstalled? You could try to set the Google Photos app as default for pictures and try again.

Are u using stock app camera and gphotos?
I can not get both work together. Even if I set gphotos as default app for pictures. This just happens, when I uninstall the default gallery app. If, I only disabled him, stock cam app and gphotos works normal here.

Google photos freeze when delete picture.

Hi guys,
google photos freeze when I delete a picture or video while is open, I can´t swipe photo, I have to go back. That happened with not every picture, especially with new picture or video.
I reinstallled google photos and install a new version from apkmirror, but nothing change.
Has anyone the same problem?

Am I the only one?
I wipe and reset the phone for other reasons, but Google photos still freezing when I delete an opened picture.

Hello,
Since Android 11 I have a similar issue.
When I take a pic and click on gallery menu (in the photo app, yeah I uninstalled OnePlus gallery), Google photo freeze a bit (like 1 or 2 sec) and there some glitches during 1 or 2 sec and after everything is ok.
Not a big deal but I didn't have this Issue with Android 10..

Also noticed some sporadically on A11....

Question Nothing Phone 1 Gallery app recommended?

Hello all while I'm still waiting on my White NP1 device just wanted some recommendations for a Free/Paid gallery app.
I know this device uses Google Photos and I'm definitely not happy with them. (truth be known I only use Gmail, Google maps and Translate from the Google range of apps)
Normally I'm used to the gallery apps in Samsung, Honor or Huawei devices.
I don't what something the heavy on package size or system resources.
So any feedback is more than welcome thank you.

I use Simple gallery pro, very happy with it. But you can't directly open your (other) gallery from the nothing camera app. That only seems to work with Google photo's. That's rely annoying (close the camera app, start the gallery app to share a picture...}

Currently there seems to be now ay the photos in the camera app get routed to whaterver gallery app exists.
So i had to re-enable gPhotos after disabling them. But there are many avilables ones, you can try SimpleGalleryPro, open fDroid, or just the internet to find one of your choice.

Thanks to all for you input I already use some of the Simple apps and their gallery app did not get much positive feedback from my findings.
That's a bummber about the Gphoto app as I was going to disable or uninstall it hate use Gphoto.
