Not sure either, but it sounds like the same issue that the S5 had (actually, I think it's KitKat 4.4 maybe?) where one can't write to the SD card.
There's an app in Google Play called NextAppt SDFix that'll change the permissions so you can write to the SD Card instead of Device only.
This was a lifesaver for me with the S5.
Here's the LINK

Fix not created yet... It is a fix that will enable apps to write on the external sd card... For example, Root Explorer will be able to write to external sd card... Titanium Backup... Etc, etc... (KitKat issue)

Yes, exactly

Sorry... Triple post... (was trying to fix double post into one and made a third) just woke up... Retard me... Lol

FYI, battery patch XXU1ANJ4 is rolling out, but you might not be able to apply it (yet) if you're rooted. http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note_4_receives_battery_improving_update-news-9901.php

That looks like an update for the international version only (for now). I'd bet if it is relevant to the 910T we will see one soon from T-Mo.

If I'm stock can I update thru settings then root after will it work after I update?

Since it is a 30+MB Update... (very small update) most likely yes... you should be able to root.
According to post #145 here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/orig-development/sm-n910-cf-auto-root-t2897428/page15
It confirms what I mentioned above...

CF Auto Root is failing for me. Wish I could provide more details but following the instructions (I've done this many time with many phones) it fails about halfway through flashing. Anyone else try it yet? I need to Odin the full firmware now.

FAQ'S
Q.Can I use this rom on tmo/Canadian variants?
A.This rom is made for the N9005, @fahadali2315 doesn't support other variants, He ONLY supports the N9005. However a user made a fix to get the things that work by default to work on tmo/Canadian variants. Read the "How to get N9005 roms to work on N900T(Tmo) & N900W8(Canadian) Variants" guide for step by step instructions BUT use the fix that i am linking below.

Q.Why does the installation fail when I try flashing this rom?
A2.Use latest philz recovery (recommended at ROM thread OP), other recoveries might not be able to flash this rom.
A2. v2.5 comes with Aroma Installer, I personally choose Chenglu CWM as it will handle Aroma better.
Q.Why is deep sleep not working?
A1. Deep sleep only works with the 2 NE6 kernels, 1 that comes with the rom and other that @fahadali2315 posted.
A2. Latest updated / tested : Aurora kernel is a good match to this X-Note S5 Ported ROM. Thanks @MojoManagement for the good kernel
Q.Can I use s5 kernels?
A.You can but they break the camera. So better to use n9005/n900t kernels instead.
Q.Why is sview not working?
A1.

A.Live wallpapers are not included.

A2.Flash a different kernel.
A3. On v.2.3 & up, WiFi is working perfectly
Q.My mobile data doesnt work?
A1.Set APN from your provider manually.
A2. If A1 can't fix your device, try to go the APN, change the bearer to LTE, and then Save. Your mobile data should be working.
A3. If A1 & A2 still can't fix your device mobile data, your last resort is to flash FIX for National Roaming. Thanks to @Mroczny3 for the fix.
Q.I can't seem to enable recent apps?
A.Use gravitybox xposed/ Navigations Keys Actions set anyone u like to show Recent apps. (Task Switcher)
Q.I modified dpi and now my sview is messed up, what should I do?
A.Use app settings xposed module and set sview dpi to 480.
Q.I have HealthService Error popup?
A.Update Shealth to latest version from Samsung apps.
Q.XTransformer doesn't reboot in this port?
A.Just Set your dpi, and click on reboot button wait until it shows reboot in the TOAST. Then Reboot your phone from PowerMenu manually.
Q.Xnote App doesnt auto Reboot?
A.Some technical glitches ... do what you want to do like changing keyboard and then reboot manually from the PowerMenu.
Q.I cannot find my clock?
A.You have to set the color to white of the clock from XNOTE APP.

Delete X-battery.apk and use xblast/wanam to put on the original battery. Should work on older versions
Not sure about v14.
Q. Having some weird reflection/shadow under the date/time? SOLUTION ?
A. This is the Network Speed indicator and the problem occurs if you are using any xposed modules (Wanam) . So either switch off the indicator by going to Xnote control app >> Extras >> StatusBar Mods or disabling the xposed module.

Location Fix Thanks to @oluwaponmile
Anyone having issue with their network location should flash the file in the link below to resolve the issue. Network location aware apps (e.g. Beautify Widgets) uses the network location API provided by Google Play Service to determine the current location even when you're indoor.
The flash will do the following:
1. Delete the NetworkLocation_Baidu.apk in /system/app
2. Set your phone to use Google network location as against baidu network location hard-coded into the framework.
Had to fix the framework to use "com.google.android.location" via the google play service API in the string.xml and in the array xml file as against "com.baidu.map.location" coded into the rom

@Walter.White Alright guys here is an update Flash it and report back https://mega.co.nz/#!VBQjFQYa!zxaXv9aMxt0ILh90jAQUOd_iNuk0jcWIUt3y8cFgC2w
EDIT: Right after You Install the Rom, Install the this NFCFIX.zip and then Install this ATT_Norma_Beta_Stable_Airplane_AutoSignal_HotspotTethering_Fix.zip To get data working
Also once one of you flashes the update can you please post a picture of your "Mobile Data Setting Page" (long pressing mobile data toggle will take you there directly)???
P.S. First you will have to flash NC2 kernel so that SS shows up and then once you are done flashing the rom, make sure to flash the 4.4.4 (NJ5 or NL1 kernel)[/QUOTE]

@sapps Install Steps Thanks!! (Post 95)
Here's where I came from....about a week ago i tried to use beta 3. So i did the whole root nj5 thing. It didnt work well for me so i did the full nc2 odin restore. Since then i had been running alliance rom on full nc2.
Tonight i rebooted to SS.
1. Wipe..adv wipe...check all but external sd card. x2
2. Advanced..file manager..
a. Delete all folders on my external sd card that i didnt create... (android.secure....lost.dir...etc)
b. Navigate to data/media/0 and delete the whole folder. (Be careful with this one because you can lose SS if you delete the wrong thing.
Sidenote.....do you have to do all that, i dont know. But i know im as clean as i can get doing it that way.
3. Flash rom and then fix
4. Back out to main SS screen and hit reboot.....download
5. start odin and put all three files in their proper place.
6. Connect phone to computer and wait till it shows the com connection.
7. Press start
Phone rebooted...took about 5 minutes on boot logo the lock screen (iirc)
8. Settings....wifi...login to home wifi
9. Accounts. Put in google account.
10. Open play store and down load app linked by walter
11. It found my sim and asked if i wantes to search for apn. I said yes and choose att phone when it came up.
12. Checked the settings (they were close to what walter typed but had a few more liated in the type part)
13. Add to apn (top button not the one with root.)
All done.

@TEKHD I dont have a "reactivation lock" option on my T3 under security. I do have something under developer options called "oem unlock" though, which I know has to be checked to install TWPR. So not sure about step 1.

I just did a restore to T3... and applied Knox-Free and got rid of the FC's as it should...
Keep in mind that I never completely remove Knox... I simply disable it in a way that it can't operate... (and it does not affect the OS in any negative way)

Ah. I removed knox 100% and also tmobile my account. That app is a MUST! It sends info to tmobile telling them you are rooted you should add the removal of that app to the knox removal zip. Anyway i would not have root access without you, so THANK YOU!
The good news is I hear pingpong root SHOULD be working on the note 5 when it comes out so this knox flag crap will go away =D

I have a N910T3 and I tried this but it didn't work. I got this phone today, So I was doing it out of the box, after flashing with Odin I went into recovery mode and it couldn't locate a "command" I added the beastmodestock kernal to the inserted sd card and tried installing from there, it failed saying footer is wrong, unable to verify authorization.

Sounds Like you didnt check "OEM Unlock" under developer options.
About the Nexus 6? do research before you say something like that please. The nexus 6 was made by Motorola. Motorola do not make the best phones. LG is making the new nexus. The nexus 5 which was also made by LG was a GREAT phone. With that said on a nexus you have to constantly update the phones rom to the newest version of android. Nexus phones are only for people that love to always update their android. Its a Techy phone. Not for the average user.

930U Firmware for all phones!!! New Update

930U FIRMWARE
Those of you on Sprint that have been locked into the Sprint only firmware now can go back to the beloved U firmware...or flash a carrier firmware of your choice. If you are still on b4, I would stay, but if not, now is the chance to install the U firmware.
Check your current bootloader version. You may not be able to odin carrier firmware after install the U firmware.
I'll put the files in this Google Drive folder
1. Download Odin3_v3.13.1_3B_PatcheD.zip (Check Odin Folder)
2. Download SM-G930U_B.zip this is the newest U firmware (Check G930U Firmware Folder)
SM-G930U_A.zip if you are on 'A' firmware and want to go back to carrier
SM-G930Ub9.zip if you are on '9' firmware and want to go back to carrier
3. Extract both zips
4. Open Odin
5. Place the files from SM-G930Uxxxxxxxx.zip into the correct BL, AP, CP, CSC blanks.
6. Put phone into download mode (power, home, volume down)
7. Connect phone to computer. Odin should now say phone is added. If not, install the Samsung phone drivers
8. Press START. This process will take about 10 minutes
9. Phone will reboot with new U firmware and Oreo installed.
HotSpot
1. download the QuickShortcutMaker app from the playstore.
2. Search for lte
3. Expand com.test.LTEfunctionality
4. Click on the new com.test.LTEfunctionality
5. Press Try
6. Scroll to LTE APN Settings
7. Click APN2 LTE internet (may be different outside of sprint)
8. Scroll to APN Type
9. Add " ,dun " The line should show read < default,mms,dun >
10. Click 3 dots to save
Random Questions/Answers:
1. Is it multi-csc? Yes, it should support any US carrier if your phone is carrier unlocked
2. Wifi Calling/VoLTE supported? Wifi Calling=yes; VoLTE=not sure, sprint doesn't support it.
3. Are XXX bands used with my carrier unlocked? All bands with major US carriers appear to be working. You can follow this guide for unlocking additional LTE bands to confirm or unlock more international bands. Change the dial code for the USB settings to ##3424#
________________________________________________________________________________
Old Stuff
The "U" Firmware will work on any G930 Galaxy S7 (basically, USA variants) and is the Samsung Galaxy Touchwiz OS without carrier bloat. There is Samsung Bloat, but some can be uninstalled or disabled with a program like Package Disabler Pro or just disable it under application manager.
This should not trip Knox and will allow you to flash back to your original stock firmware. Warranty should not void, but I'm not responsible for bricked devices, exploding batteries, crying babies, Earth crushing meteors. If you have a question, best to ask it first!
There is an OTA to PG9 after you install this firmware. Feel free to upgrade after you flash this!
Installation:
1. Download
Updato Firmware Website or Sammobile Firmware Website or PL2 Firmware Google Drive (post 365 for MD5)
2. Extract files. May be best to download files over a wired connection!
3. Open ODIN and place the BL; AP; CP; CSC from the rar in the corresponding slots.
4. Place phone in download mode. Power + Vol Down + Home
5. Connect Phone to computer
6. Odin should recognize your phone. If not, you need to download and install the Samsung Driver Files
7. Press Start
8. It should flash the "U" Firmware.

Pit Mapping Error Fix
1. Download the Pit File Here
1a. You will have to down the Sprint PE1 firmware from Pit File Here or Pit File Here
The bootloader changed from v3 to v4 after the PGx update. If you are going to odin the latest firmware, you shouldn't have any issue. Going back to PGx to PCx/PEH will require this.
2. In Odin click the tab that says "Pit"
3. Odin will pull up a Warning dialogue. Click ok.
4. Click the long rectangular "Pit" button to select the pit file
5. Select the file that says "HEROQLTE_USA_SPR.pit" from the files you downloaded from my link.
6. With the pit file nw included, Add the AP, CP, and CSC files again and flash. (may need to reboot and go back into download mode)
7. Now odin the older 'U' firmware
____________________________________________
You cannot root this firmware with the Sprint model. Here are some apps that will give you some root/xposed features without them.
HotSpot
1. Download Shortcut Master Lite
2. Search for LTEfunctionality
3. Click on com.test.LTEfunctionality
4. Launch
5. Scroll down to LTE APN Setting
6. Add " ,dun " to APN2 LTE and EHRPD internet under APN type. That line should read default, mms, dun when you finish.
7. Native Hotspot should work. You may have to do this hack again if you update Profile.
Ad Blockers
None of these block ads on Youtube completely. Some will let you route through their servers to filter ads on Youtube via a VPN.
1. Adhell Uses Samsung Knox to block ads and trackers. Blocks most things on webpages and apps (no youtube), but saves a ton a battery since it doesn't require VPN. Also, it is FREE and well supported!
2. Disconnect Pro Similar to Adhell, but a paid app. Search the Galaxy App Store to buy it. Uses Samsung Knox too.
3. Ad Guard. Best I've used, but is a paid app for the good features.
4. AdClear. Some have had success with this, I've had mixed results.
5. BlockThis! Works well, but caused issues on some webpages.
Youtube Ads
This doesn't block ads, but it does silent and auto skip them. Cygery
Skip Tracks With Volume Keys
1. Frinky Music Controller Allows you to skip tracks with screen off.
2. Noyze Not sure if still being developed, but works. Let's you skip tracks by long pressing with screen off.
Voicemail Issue
I use Google Voice, so this worked for me. It is/was free to integrate your number with Google Voice...highly recommend if they still do it.
Install this apk for Sprint Visual Voicemail apk It will give you an error, but will take away the annoying voicemail notification. Then you can just hide the notification in the android settings and your problem will be solved. May work if you have regular voicemail, but probably not since it needs to write to system.
Doze Related
Remember to whitelist apps you want running in the background...like Pandora, Google Music, etc. I would leave them off at first and if it cuts off when the screen is off, you need to white list it.
For me, these both work best together and I saw a difference running both as opposed to either solely.
1. ForceDoze puts your phone into doze mode without the motion detectors and 30 minute wait. Great app! Does require you to install adb (adb installer) since you have to run a command to get it to run properly. Check Disable motion sensing and turn off while charging
2. Greenify The auto hibernation works great if we had root, but we don't. It works, but can be extremely annoying at times and can drain battery because it may continuously try to force stop/close an app you greenify. Plus, it will take a few seconds to re-unlock your phone immediately after you turn off the screen. However, I use it with force doze for the aggressive doze. I saw a difference in battery life by using them both.
Other Tips
Besides the obvious of gmail/facebook/whatspp/twitter/snapchat syncing
1. Turn off wi-fi scanning
2. Back up my data for Samsung and Google under back up and reset
3. Turn off some features under advanced features in settings...for example, palm swipe to capture if you never use it
4. Location History under Location
5. Change locating method...I leave mine on GPS, wi-fi, mobile, but some people want more battery life and turn it off.
6. Turn on developer options and change animations to 0.5
7. Turn off Always on Display under settings > display. I like it, so I leave it on...but takes about 2% an hour
Old stuff
Has anyone tried the 930U firmware for our Sprint phones (930P)? They seem to have success with it (935U) over at the Sprint S7 Edge forums.
On the Edge forums, they said you can root, but it messes with LTE/call abilities. However, it removes all Sprint bloatware and apparently allows for hotspot tethering.
According to the Edge forums, it is the universal firmware, so it should work on any qualcomm chipset phone. The firmware is for the Galaxy S7 Special Edition ( Link to Sprint site about it )
Anyway, here is the thread on the AT&T forum about it if you are interested. Didn't see a thread or info about here, so I was just wondering.

Not without root on this firmware. Some have said Hotspot works without issue, but I had to use the hurry and turn it on at boot technique.

That technique won't work with that version. I only got it to work on PE1 by rooting. I read that you can use PDAnet via the USB tether option.

Hi jason, glad you liked it !
Enjoy your new phone
Thanks works perfect! Just the mic that wont work on whatsapp, but its ok.
I have a LG-G3 D855 Europe version with 16GB internal storage and 2GB RAM
I read that the main camera doesn't work on the D855 (European version), is that correct?
What else doesn't work when Android 11 is on it?
I have a LG-G3 D855 Euro version with 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM.
At the moment I have Fulmix ROM 6.9 installed (is Android Marshmallow 6) and thus also rooted.
So I could then install the new TWRP 3.5 and then the ROM Lineage OS 18.1 afterwards, proceed as described or do I have to pay attention to something else?
Thanks for the hints and tips
Installed... no WLAN on my LG G3 D855 with Lineage 18.1
Ok, now I've set everything up successfully, on my almost 7-year-old LG-G3-D855 with only 32 GB of memory and still a poor 32-bit device.
The WLAN settings required that I had to switch the WLAN encryption to WPA2 CWP on the AVM Fritzbox 6660 Cabe.
It's sad that such an Android 11 as Lineage 18.1 doesn't get along with normal settings in the Fritzbox as WPA2/WPA3. Didn't the developers pay attention again? something like that is allowed with Android 11 !!! not happen.
Even my old Fulmics 6.9 ROM could work perfectly with the Fritzbox 6660 Frotz OS 7.29 in 2.4 and 5 GHz mode, only Lineage 18.1 can't do anything with it. Already very sad.
But ok, I solved the problem and now the front and rear cameras work as well. I still have to look for an icon pack for the surface, the normal icons look terrible!
Glad you did it.
I don't remember having troubles with Camera.
I can't help about this AVM Fritzbox 6660 Cabe thing. I don't know this.
Hello friend, I have installed this ROM, but testing it, I verify that it does not record video. I have tried other apps such as Open Camera or even the LG Camera apk and the same problem still does not record video. At first I even did a factory reset to see but it still can't record video, do you know any solution or is it because it's the latest version of official Lineage OS that I flashed, what version does the video camera work with? Thank you.

I had Fulmix 8 and proceed this tutorial and it went well. I wanted Lineage because with Android 6 there are many apps that no longer run. The problem with Lineage OS is that the video camera does not record.
