Convert A3000 to A3000-H - A3000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I took the back off of my A3000 and it seems that the mb is a lot like the 3000-h just missing the SIM card readers... The solder points are even there. Would it be possible to just solder the SIM readers on there and download the software with the call feature? Maybe not as simple as I am saying but you know what I mean.

It's the SIM card slot, but all other radio hardware is missing (even the mini PCI slot), so it is not going to work.
OK thank you it just makes no sense they would put it in if it didn't have one?

They've not really "put it in" rather "not taken it out". It's the same chasis as the 3/4G version so all they've done is reduced manufacturing costs by sharing a chasis between the two models.

[Q] how do I get more internal storage

I'm tired of running out of room on my i337m internal storage of 9.xxgb of a 16gb card I now have a 64gb external card but still have internal room issues. Like no space haha
Slim Roms powered
1337m
4.3.1. build 2.2
If you are willing to spend around 150 to 200 usd, Mobiletechvideos has a service that literally upgrades the internal storage up to 64gb. It is called eMMC repair/upgrade. Other than that, you will have to transfer as much as possible to an external card.

You can do this yourself if you know how to open the phone. Once you take off the coverings the internal is easily accessible and in fact removeable so all you need to do is a simple swap. But, just make sure it's formatted to the correct for internal

Ummm... No. It is soldered to the motherboard and requires a reflow station to remove. It is not an at home thing to do. It requires professional equipment to remove and upgrade.
Please know what you are talking about before you get someone to potentially break their phone.

I have been in and out of the S4. the only way to get more storage space is to replace the motherboard or like I said, reflow station. Samsung would not have a cradle for the eMMC chip. It would be more costly and take up more space. Also, why would they do that knowing that people would try and fail to upgrade their storage?

A Google search would be your next option for proof.

Check out dropbox. I have 50GB available on mine when I bought my HTC one for free. Now I have GS4 and am still using it. Works great.

Well now I feel like an idiot. I was under the impression that we were in my other phones forum which has a removable internal SD card. I'm really sorry guys

Use foldermount. Free version lets mounts 3 things to.your ext sd. If you have big games its the way to go. My phone was completely full now I have almost 7 out of 9 gigs internal left.
On first open hit app analyzer and move the 3 top apps it shows you. Just the large data file. Dont set it to mount on boot. Just mount and unmount those apps b4 and after using them. When unmounted they aren't on the internal storage not even with a explorer. When.mounted you can see.the data on internal and external

I tried all those still no help
Also if possible please enlighten me about the com.cyngn.yu app in app settings..

SD card problem

So a little bit ago I took the my 32gig SD card out of my phone put it in my computer to transfer a couple movies over faster to my external harddrive and once it was complete I put it back in my phone like normal and it said it was corrupted. I put it back in my computer and transfered all my files on my desktop and put it back in my phone let it reformat it and it shut off. And wouldn't boot back up unless I pulled the card out. I tryed it again with a good 16gig and same deal. Any idea why this would be happening. I can't even format them on my computer. Is it my phone doing this. Anyone else experience this problem

You might want to check and see if your computer formatted the filesystem to exfat instead of fat32.
I'll check that out
Sent from my SM-N910V using XDA-Developers mobile app
It was set to fat32 and couldn't even try it at anything else. I'll just have to see about getting a new one soon. I even tryed putting it in an old phone and did the same thing to it
